Understood about the level of accessibility. But with Pandora, when it's accessible, you can indicate which songs you like or dislike, thus narrowing the music that is presented to you. Re: [JAWS-Users] Spotify and Jaws
Hi, Jean. Someone on the PC Audio list you just joined (yes, Big Brother is watching!!) recently posted that Spotify works well as an iPhone app but not on a PC. There was no follow-up to that thread. But maybe someone here has had a better experience. I was interested because I'd like to replace Pandora, which I've found difficult to use since Hope, the application designed to make it accessible, ceased to be supported. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Jean Menzies Sent: Tuesday, February 28, 2017 2:05 PM To: JawsUsersList Subject: [JAWS-Users] Spotify and Jaws Hello everyone, We now have Spotify Premium Family Sharing in our house. Re: [JAWS-Users] spotify
Spotify is a formerly exclusively European music cloud service. You can use a free ad-based service, or subscribe for a monthly fee of $4.95 or $9.95, depending I think on whether you want to play it on your Pc, or your Pc plus a smartphone. It has about 15 million songs. It doesn't have any Led Zepellin or Beattles material yet. You can't specify anything by genre yet, at least in the beta version. It plays your selected music, and songs it thinks you'll like. It has the ability to share songs with your friends either through an IM client or Facebook. Not reasonably, but you can do some things with mouse emulation. But, you can't get the free version unless you have an invitation. [JAWS-Users] Spotify?
Hi all, Just wondering, has anyone in the United States, tried the new music service that recently just launched called spotify? I am finding the desktop client is not the most accessible but it works if you are into mouse clicking and routing cursors. I have to use it with JFW because I don't know how to mouseclick on NVDA, but I am finding I can use the whole program with the clicking and routing. I just wish I didn't have to do all that. Not sure if there are easier solutions, and just looking for people's thoughts if they have tried it. The service seems to have a lot of music on it and seems worth it. Right now I am just using the free version and trying to get used to the desktop client and how to click where i need to. Thanks, Sarah A.
