You know!
I reset my laptops, and when I set my accounts in the mail app again, I noticed
the same thing. I could not access the signature either. That is really weird.
Thanks for telling us, I will get on the Feed Back app and tell MS about that.
Have a great one!

Whenever I try to add my signature, I find nowhere to type anything other than

I contacted with the disability answer desk and they have no remedy other than
I copied whatever text I wanted to their chat and they have typed it via remote

Sometimes jaws will only read the subject of my messages and not the body.
Sometimes when composing an email I can type a message but when I alt+tab to
check what I’ve written it disappears.
The mail app is very sluggish when I press enter on a message it opens, two
minutes later jaws announces message body the number of links available then
the text of the message.
Sometimes the mail app won’t even open.
All of this usually can be resolved by a full computer restart, but it all

Hi Kevin, Having reported persistent Windows 10 Mail problems to VFO similar
to those you note , it seems that with all the other serial problems with JAWS,
this must be a low priority with them.
It is tedious but to fix this, at least on my system, I unload and reload both
JAWS 2018 and Windows 10 Mail until these problems creep back.
Likewise, I have to do the above to keep Chrome responsive.
Rhetorically, have you noticed how much time all of the members seem to waste
creating fixes and work-arounds on a seemingly endless list of performance
tasks? Mitch

There are some handy tricks, like re-aranging the columns so the
information you want to hear about a message first is in fact read
first, etc. You can group messages by conversation and have it speak
something like this when you down arrow in the message list

collapsed 6 valiant8086 [JAWS-Users] oops my JAWS crashed! 9/28/2017

Collapsed means it's a conversation you can right arrow to review the
messages in it, or if you down arrow without right arrowing you'll
skip past that whole conversation. If you pressed delete without
expanding it with right arrow it would delete the whole conversation.
The 6 there means 6 of the messages within are unread. This is an
especially efficient way of handling this sort of thing, and it's what
keeps me going back to thunderbird in spite of attempts to migrate.
Well, that and I use a portable thunderbird, downloadable from
http://portableapps.com, intended to be installed on a flash drive but
I just always run my thunderbird that way, so I can copy and paste the
thunderbird folder between my computers and need not set it up again.
Handy if I bought a new computer or just factory restored or formatted
one and am setting it all back up again.

Hi,

I will try to help here, for the message to open, you need to tab to the
message list which doesn't come up by default.
Keep tabbing and you should hear inbox and then tab again to the messages.
Regarding closing the message, you need to go to tools, options and the reading
and display tab, you need to set the message to open in an existing window I
think, there are three button options, it is normally on the first one and it
is the third one that you want, you then open the message and press escape to
close it.
Let me know if you can't find it and I will try to drill down the steps a bit
further.

Hi, you can do the same thing with the full install. c:\users\user name\app
data\local\thunderbird an \app data \roaming\thunderbird. Just copy these
folders from time to time and they are your TB backup. This has save me
multiple times. :) Everything is in these two folders.
settings, messages and well everything. :) Just copy them back to the app data
folder reinstall TB and it is as if it never was uninstalled.

Hi.

Yes, you can add multiple accounts. If you have jaws 18, it'll work fine
without any extra scripts, and the fix for earlier versions of JAWS is
to enable grouping of messages by conversation. Otherwise, the message
list won't be read.

There are some handy tricks, like re-aranging the columns so the

Collapsed means it's a conversation you can right arrow to review the
messages in it, or if you down arrow without right arrowing you'll skip
past that whole conversation. If you pressed delete without expanding it
with right arrow it would delete the whole conversation. The 6 there
means 6 of the messages within are unread. This is an especially
efficient way of handling this sort of thing, and it's what keeps me
going back to thunderbird in spite of attempts to migrate. Well, that
and I use a portable thunderbird, downloadable from
http://portableapps.com, intended to be installed on a flash drive but I
just always run my thunderbird that way, so I can copy and paste the
thunderbird folder between my computers and need not set it up again.
Handy if I bought a new computer or just factory restored or formatted
one and am setting it all back up again.

Yes it is easy to set up different e-mails. I have 12. No special
scritps or anything needed. Just google "download thunderbird and
download the program.
After install you just use alt + T then arrow to accounts. Then enter
your e-mail address and password. thats it for most mail providers like
g-mail.

Feel free oto ask me any questions. I will help as much as I can. :)
