[Juggle] Philadelphia Juggling Festival

2024-05-27 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

the Philly Juggling Festival is in 3 weeks, June 14-16. It's at the
Circadium circus school in Philadelphia, which is a nice space. Usually
some of us go there every year. I don't know yet who is going this year,
but let us know if you are considering.
https://www.jugglingedge.com/event.php?EventID=6057

Also, the weekend after is the festival in Boulder Colorado and if you are
interested in Passout (one-week specialized club passing festival Sep
30-Oct 6 in Wisconsin) let me know.

Best regards,
Christian

Re: [Juggle] RIT Juggling Festival

2024-04-01 Thread Christian Kästner
Last reminder: This is next weekend.

So far I only know of Eva and me going, which would be unusually low
attendance from our club. We have one more seat in our car (two will be
cosy but might work) and one bed in a large AirBnB (and maybe also a
sofa). We plan to leave between 12pm and 1pm on Friday and to return Sunday
around 7pm. Let me know if you are interested in joining us.

Best regards,
Christian

[Juggle] RIT Juggling Festival

2024-03-10 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

the RIT Juggling Festival in Rochester NY is coming up in a few weeks April
5th-7th with Wes Peden performing Rollercoaster in the show:
https://ritjuggle.blogspot.com

If you were ever curious to attend a juggling festival, this is the one to
go to. It's by far the largest in the region and reachable in a 5h drive.
We usually car-pool up there, leaving around noon on Friday and coming back
Sunday evening. The CMU juggling club also has a budget to reimburse travel
costs (hotel, gas, tolls, even a rental car if needed) for CMU students.

Important: The festival is on the weekend before the solar eclipse which
goes through Rochester on Monday. As a result, hotels are already much less
available and more expensive over the weekend (and almost nothing available
for Sunday to Monday if you want to stay for the eclipse). *I would
strongly recommend to make plans now!* Eva and I will go and I think
several others were interested too. We have had good experience with
booking larger AirBnbs with multiple bedrooms. You can also usually find
crashspace with local jugglers. If you are interested in going, bring it up
at a juggling club meeting or message me and we can try to organize
something together.

Best regards,
Christian

Re: [Juggle] 3:30 PM Sunday Juggling In Newell Simon Hall

2024-01-28 Thread Christian Kästner
Regarding upcoming events:

The Poconos juggling festival has now been announced for March 1-3
https://poconojugglecircusartsfest.yourwebsitespace.com

It's a mid-sized festival that draws many participants from the Philly and
NYC area with usually a pretty good show. It's about a 5h drive from here
and in the past several club members have made the weekend trip. It's a
tourist area but not in peak tourist season -- the Canalside Guest House
(see their website) is a rather rustic but low-budget accommodation. If you
are interested in going let us know at a meeting.

[Juggle] Sign up for the juggling club on TartanConnect

2023-10-18 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

quick favor: for all CMU members on this mailing list, can you do us a
favor and sign up as a member for the juggling club on TartanConnect:
https://tartanconnect.cmu.edu/flyingobjects/club_signup

We are not using TartanConnect for anything, but it shows the university
that we actually are a club and have members. This is how we can justify
budget for buying props (including the balls we give away) and attending
and hosting juggling festivals and booking rooms.

Re: [Juggle] 5:00 PM Thursday Juggling on the Cut at CMU

2023-09-28 Thread Christian Kästner
Oh well, it's raining. We'll crash in our usual backup indoor spot in the
Seagate Auditorium in Roberts Hall on the CMU campus.

This can be a bit tricky to find: The space is a covered bridge between
Hammerschlag Hall and Roberts (behind Hammerschlag). If you are in the
Hammerschlag staircase, there is a sign to Roberts on the right level (down
from the main entrance/up from the Wean connector):
https://map.concept3d.com/?id=192#!m/15791?s/

Good luck finding it :) You can call Steven if you are lost. (I should be
there closer to 6pm myself)

probably the largest regional festival in the US. Usually several of us
travel together there.

Dates for Poconos (5h drive, usually early March) and Congress (4h drive,
usually May) have not been announced yet.

We are still planning to host one in Pittsburgh, but we have had scheduling
difficulties.

Generally, jugglingedge.com is a good source for upcoming festivals:

Heads up, the library extravaganza is happening today.

Also we almost certainly won't host FluggleBurgh in competition with
Cleveland (Oct 13-15).

[Juggle] Philly Fest 2023

2023-05-29 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

Philadelphia's juggling festival is back and will happen June 9-11:
https://www.facebook.com/events/5674031112696120

Eva and I will likely go. If somebody is interested in carpooling let us
know. Trains and buses to Philly are also feasible. The festival is free,
the show is $12.

I've been to this festival several times. It's a small-to-mid-sized
regional festival. The space at the circus school is nice and directly next
to a SEPTA train stop. Housing can be a bit tricky and pricy with few
nearby options, but by emailing the organizers you can often find a couch
space with a local juggler.

Best regards,
Christian

2023-04-13 Thread Christian Kästner
I suggest that we also move our regular Sunday meeting to Saturday instead
this week. That way, we'll avoid the Carnival hangover and the weather
seems more agreeable (and we can probably harass O'Ryan while stilt-walking
;).

At least Eva and I are going too.

We usually stay at the Red Roof in Henrietta. It's cheap and okay and a
short drive to RIT. There are several other hotels nearby. We usually have
funds from the juggling club to cover/reimburse hotel costs.

[Juggle] Passing and takeout notation

2021-10-30 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

some of you have recently started learning some walking and takeout passing
patterns, like 3-count roundabout.

Here is a talk I prepared a couple of years ago and just gave again on the
history of a notation for these kinds of patterns:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM1l_cejyxE

Happy to also explain this in the context of some patterns were are trying,
just ask me.

The most one I've been teaching most commonly is Nicki's 3-count roundabout
with notation
P S S P S S
CB SBIB
https://youtu.be/94PLxzRh5Ec?t=68

Chopabout:
A: ss ps ss ps ss ps -> B (c for chop)
B: ss cs ss cs ss ps -> A
M:Ca Sa Sb Sb Sb Ib -> M
https://juggling.tv/12281

As 4 person pattern, we mostly tried the scrambled v explained in my talk. Slow
motion video here: https://juggling.tv/12753

Best regards,
Christian

Hi!

I’m Ross, the Festival Director for this year’s Virtual IJA Festival. I wanted
to reach out and ask if you could share this information with your juggling
club members. We have a full week of free shows, workshops, and panels. Great
raffle items thanks to our generous donors and great merch to buy. There’s also
the addition of master classes featuring some of the leading industry
professionals. These classes would help more than just jugglers. You can learn
more at https://festival.juggle.org/. Hope to see you all in the comments!

Thanks!

We will bring a few extra props but not many, so please bring your own if you

Hi, quick update to upcoming juggling festivals nearby, including two this
weekend

* Mar 6-8: Waterloo Juggling Festival --
https://www.facebook.com/events/2151675135140680/

* Mar 6-8: Poconos juggling festival --
https://poconojugglecircusartsfest.webstarts.com/

* April 3-5: 43rd Annual RIT Spring Juggle-In
https://ritjuggle.blogspot.com/p/when-april-5-7-2019-where-rochester.html

* May 8-10: Congress of Jugglers
https://www.facebook.com/events/1265909886947210/

As usual, if you are planning to go to any of these and are looking for rides,
chat with us at a club meeting. For RIT we almost certainly will go as a group
(we usually have funds from the juggling club to cover some costs for gas and
hotel).

[Juggle] Cirque du Solei & Upcoming Festivals

2020-01-17 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

some juggling related updates:

Next week Cirque du Solei's Ovo show is in Pittsburgh (Th-Su). Its a little
pricey starting roughly at $80 (incl fees). Some of us are going, possibly
Thursday -- if you are interested in joining, ping me.

There are a couple of festivals coming up in driving distance:

* Feb 7--9: Cincinnati Juggling Festival --
https://www.cincinnaticircus.com/juggling-festival/
* Mar 6-8: Waterloo Juggling Festival --
https://www.facebook.com/events/2151675135140680/
* Mar 6-8: Poconos juggling festival --
https://poconojugglecircusartsfest.webstarts.com/
* April 3-5: 43rd Annual RIT Spring Juggle-In
There is no date yet for Congress of Jugglers (usually May,
https://www.facebook.com/congressofjugglers)

There is a chance that some of us might drive to Cincinnati and there is almost
certainly a group of people driving to RIT (we usually have funds from the
juggling club to cover some costs for gas and hotel for RIT). There is also a
good chance that some of us will drive to the Poconos festival or Waterloo.
Ping me if you are interested in Cincinnati and stay tuned for the other ones.

Best regards,
Christian

[Juggle] Help with our FluggleBurgh festival -- Looking for volunteers

2019-10-20 Thread Christian Kästner
Our own juggling festival is less than two weeks away and we are looking for
help. There are a number of things that you could do:

*# Spread the word*

The entire festival, including the show, is free for CMU students!

Tell your friends and invite people to the facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/events/1437911102999501/
or point them to our web page
https://bit.ly/fluggleburgh

Activities and workshops are all weekend, but the main thing for non-jugglers
will be the show Saturday Nov 2 at 7pm.

*# Help us advertise*

If you know about mailing lists on campus where advertisement for FluggleBurgh
would be appropriate, please send things there.

If you have any contacts with the student newspaper, radio, or similar, please
reach out to them to advertise the festival.

If somebody has contacts at Pitt or other communities in and around Pittsburgh
and would reach out there that would also be highly appreciated.

If you need material, text, or pictures feel free to take them from the web
page or from this set of pictures I've taken in the last two years:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NGF5Va2XMOwtUC0uPhb0k6PPqfPf0qkP?usp=sharing

If you want to put up flyers or posters on campus or off campus, print these
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1anyRdgvzjacAriCChNad26bIOL8CCYei or ask me
for however many printed copies you want. If you would like to make a better
flyer/poster or a dedicated poster for the show, yes please.

(let us know what you are doing, so we don't duplicate efforts)

*# Help us during the festival*

There are a number of activities you can help us with during the festival, such
as

* Help with setup on Friday 5pm or with cleanup on Sunday 3pm
* Sit at the front desk (in the gym) to ask people to sign waivers, sell
tickets, and t-shirts for an hour or two. (you can probably do some homework at
the same time)
* Help with the fire jam, e.g. doing fire safety
* Check show tickets at the door before the show
* Help with hosting the games

If you can spare an hour or two, please sign up on our volunteering
spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XtVCgfEcTTX7dRMltdaEPjvWBa5h5DTK6ILgFdqEVV4/edit?usp=sharing

*# Come to the festival*

Please come and have fun during the festival :)
Take a workshop, see a slow, learn some new things, participate in games, ...

Thanks,
The FluggleBurgh team...--

[Juggle] Cleveland and Pittsburgh Juggling Festivals coming up

2019-10-17 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

there are two weekend juggling festivals coming up, first Cleveland Oct 25-27
(https://jugglingedge.com/event.php?EventID=5151) and then a week later our own
in Pittsburgh Nov 1-3 (https://bit.ly/fluggleburgh).

If you haven't been to a juggling festival before, here is what to expect:
These festivals are an informal affair, where there is an open gym space for
juggling and practicing. Typically there are several workshops throughout the
day that teach beginner or advanced skills on various juggling props. In the
evening there is often a show.

For Cleveland, we will likely find a group that will go together for a one-day
trip on Saturday Oct 26. It's a 2.5h drive, we'll carpool, and we'll probably
leave in the morning and will be back late after the show. Our juggling club
will sponsor gas and tolls, the festival is free and the show is typically
around $10. If you are interested in joining or want to learn more, contact me
at a club meeting or send me an email. If you want to go overnight, let us know
and maybe we can help people carpool.

For our own festival, this will be just up the street on Morewood Ave and many
of us will be there all weekend, organizing, teaching workshops, and just
having fun. Please stop by, come for some workshops, and for the shows. We'll
be looking for volunteers to help with the festival in a separate email,
primarily to help with advertising and help at the front table selling tshirts
and show tickets, so if you can spend an hour or two on this, we'd really
appreciate it.

Best regards,
Christian

[Juggle] Carnival Juggling, 5pm tomorrow

Hi,

due to Carnival this week (and the weather forecast), we skip our regular
juggling meeting today and meet tomorrow instead.

The weather looks promising, so we expect to be out by 5pm the latest on the
cut (near the trees in front of Purnell) tomorrow.

I would like to apologies for the irregularity of our meetings the last
couple of weeks. We had a lot of the leadership of the group traveling. I
would like to ask if anyone would be interested in helping us host
meetings and put up posters. We have been having a great year teaching new
people to juggling. It could be even better if we could find a couple more
people to bring the props to meetings.

It also looks as if there is a small chance that the weather might be
nice. If it is nice enough I will come early for some juggling on the cut
and yelling at students to join the Juggling Club.

As always you can email me if you are interested in helping out. You can
also call me at 412 708-3638 to see if I am on the Cut.

[Juggle] Fwd: Looking for Jugglers

2019-03-14 Thread Christian Kästner

- Original message -
From: Crafton Celebrates

Subject: Looking for Jugglers
Date: Wednesday, March 13, 2019 11:35 AM

Hi,

My name is Angela Palchowski and I am the chair of our community festival,
Crafton Celebrates. It is a 3 day event located in Crafton on June 28, 29, and
30. I am reaching out to you because I am looking for some new stage
entertainment than we have had in previous years. I am looking for a magician,
juggler, fire act, etc. Is there anyone in your club who might be interested in
something like this? If not, do you know of anyone in the industry who I can
contact? We are a self-funded event so we don’t have crazy amounts of money to
spend on high end companies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

[Juggle] Upcoming Juggling Festivals

2019-03-11 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

hold the dates for RIT Juggle-In: April 5-7. This is one of the largest
juggling festivals in the US with lots of participants, activities and shows.
It's a 5h drive and we usually drive up as a group, leaving around noon on
Friday and returning fairly late on Sunday. The festival is free, the show $18,
and the CMU juggling club can usually cover gas and hotel for the trip. More
information: https://ritjuggle.blogspot.com/ -- if you are interested, let us
know...

Also, on shorter notice: This upcoming weekend is the Waterloo Juggling
Festival in Waterloo, ON. Nice people, nice space, about 6h drive, and I can
probably broker some crash space...
https://uwaterloo.ca/events/events/waterloo-juggling-festival

As the last one nearby for the spring season, the Congress of Jugglers festival
near DC should be coming up in late April or early May, but I haven't seen any
formal anouncements yet.

Happy juggling,
Christian

[Juggle] Juggling times for next semester?

Hi,

we are trying to reserve a permanent room for juggling for next semester early
this time.

you have conflicts Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursdays next semester (5 or 6pm)?
If you have constraints or preferences, please send me a message directly (not

[Juggle] Update: 5pm Newell Simon Hall, (Re: 5PM Juggling Posvar Hall on the PItt Campus)

2018-11-04 Thread Christian Kästner
Change of plans:

Let's still meet at 5pm, but let's stay in Newell Simon Hall at least
for this week.
We've been considering to move to Posvar Hall to meet up with the flow
community like last winter, but we have been unable to confirm that they
are still actively meeting. We might move in future weeks for a combined
meeting if they meet regularly, but for now let's stay at Newell Simon.
To not add to the confusion, let's stick with 5pm for today.
Hope to see you there,
Christian

[Juggle] Juggling this afternoon

2018-08-23 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

we are meeting this afternoon as usual and try to show some presence since the
new students have already arrived on campus. :)

We'll meet as usual under the trees outside of Purnell hall.

Steven plans to be outside starting at 4pm to promote the club a bit. Most of
us will probably aim for 5pm as usual.

Best regards,

[Juggle] Sunday juggling and making juggling balls

2018-08-11 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

we have a quorum and will create a new batch of juggling balls tomorrow,
starting tomorrow, Sunday, around 2pm in the atrium of Newell Simon Hall on
campus. Everybody is welcome to join and help, we should have plenty of
supplies.

If the weather is nice, we'll walk over to Schenley Plaza afterward for our
usual juggling meeting, if it's raining we'll stay in Newell Simon Hall for
juggling.

Best regards,
Christian
PS: The doors to Newell Simon Hall might be locked on weekends. There are
usually people coming and going every few minutes who will be happy to let you
in. The north entrance from Forbes is probably the easiest way, since it
directly leads into the atrium.

[Juggle] Making juggling balls on Sunday?

2018-08-10 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

before the semester starts it is a good time to make a large number of juggling
balls (russians) again, which we tend to give away throughout the year.

Would we get a few volunteers together for this Sunday, say 2pm, on the CMU
campus?

I still have about 600 shells. Depending on how many people we are, this should
take 1 to 2 hours. Afterward, we can just hang out to juggle :) This is a rain
safe and air conditioned location (yes I'm looking at you weather forecast)...

[Juggle] Juggling tonight 6pm?

2017-12-03 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

as Ben mentioned on Thursday, we are considering to test the following
change: Instead of meeting at 3pm today in NSH, we could meet at 6pm
with the flow group in Posvar Hall on the Pitt campus (next to Schenley
Plaza).

Since it's too cold to meet outside with the slackline and acro people,
there is no specific reason to stick with our 3pm time. Given that
attendance is always a little low in the winter, it might not hurt
combining forces with other groups.

Opinions? Also let me know whether I should bring the suitcase with all
the props or whether a few clubs and balls are sufficient. Ben, can you
maybe provide more specific directions to the meeting (I assume it's
obvious to find once in the building)?

[Juggle] Juggling inside, 3pm

2017-11-19 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

we'll move into our usual winter headquarters for the season: The atrium
of Newell Simon Hall on the CMU campus. The place has high ceilings and
we only have to move a few tables out of the way.

We'll meet as usual around 3pm and typically stay for 1 or 2 hours
depending on how many people show up :)

For a campus map see our web page
(https://www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/juggle/) or the CMU website. Newell
Simon Hall has an entrance on the north side but you can also get there
through bridges on the 4th floor from Wean or GHC. On Sundays doors are
usually locked, but there are always students entering and exiting every
few minutes that will let you in. Parking is free on Sundays in the main
parking garage.

If you want to learn unicycling, this is not a bad spot. Let us know
upfront if you want to borrow our club's unicycle; we do not tend to
bring it by default.

See you there,
Christian

This is also a good opportunity to chat more about our juggling festival

[Juggle] No meeting today + Festival help needed

2017-11-02 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

sorry, but several of us are traveling or busy, so that we cannot bring
props or ensure a minimal attendance, thus we decided to cancel today.

We'll meet on Sunday and then prepare for an extra dose of juggling next
week: We will have our very own juggling festival Nov 10-12: All details
on bit.ly/fluggleburgh and facebook.

We will be reaching out for help later this week. There are all kinds of
opportunities for volunteering, from manning the table where people sign
in for an hour or two, to teaching or helping with (beginner) workshops,
to helping with selling tickets at the show, to setting up or cleaning
up. We'll reach out with specifics, but feel free to already sign up
here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XtVCgfEcTTX7dRMltdaEPjvWBa5h5DTK6ILgFdqEVV4/edit?usp=docs_home=true

And finally, tell all your friends to come :)

[Juggle] No meeting today

2017-10-22 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi, we'll skip our meeting today, due to volunteering at the community
forge (see Thursdays message). Of course, feel free to juggle anyway,
but we won't bring the suite case with props. If you have time, consider
still heading to the community forge space to help. C

[Juggle] Juggling, 5pm on the cut + upcoming festivals

2017-09-21 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

we'll meet today as usual around 5pm on the cut.

We have decided earlier this week that we are going to host a juggling
festival in a former school in Wilkinsburg on the Nov 10-12 weekend. We
are currently working on arrangements with the owners of the place.
We'll keep you up to date with ongoing developments. If you are
interested in helping to organize and we haven't yet heard from you,
please reach out.

Beyond that there are a number of upcoming juggling festivals in driving
range or with direct flights. Some club members might be going and the
club may have funding for hotel and gas. Reach out if interested.

Sep 22-24 (this weekend): Boston and Asheville
Sep 29-Oct 1: Cleveland, small but nice (2.5h drive, could be a daytrip
also)
Oct 6-8: Philadelphia, new location near airport, usually quite well
attended
Oct 20-22: St. Louis
Nov 10-12: Pittsburgh :)

[Juggle] Juggling 3pm Schenley Plaza

2017-09-17 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

we'll meet in our usual spot outside of the Carnegie Library on Schenley
Plaza roughly 3-5pm today (hard to miss with all the slacklines, people
balancing each others, and dropping clubs).

Looks like a nice day out. If we get enough people together for
volleyclub, I'll bring the net.

c.
PS: We are looking into hosting a juggling/circus/... festival in
Pittsburgh in November. We will likely have some news to share at the
meeting today about a possible space.

[Juggle] Official positions for the juggling club

2017-09-13 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

(important, but CMU students only)

we are looking for CMU students who would be willing to take over some
of the formal responsibilities of the juggling club as a CMU
organization. CMU is sponsoring the club and provides funding for props
and trips to juggling festivals, as well as rooms for our meetings, and
hopefully they will support us when we host a juggling festival.
However, in exchange there are some formal rules that we have to abide
by.

Over the last couple of years, Mert volunteered as our president and
signer (thank you!).

We are looking for one or two CMU students (undergraduate or graduate)
who would volunteer, going forward, helping our club to stay in good
standing with CMU. Since we are already an established club, the actual
workload is fairly small. The only key requirement is to attend a
student leadership training seminar once a year (about 3h on a weekend).
Beyond that you might respond to rare requests for information from CMU
and sign the occasional reimbursement form when some of us by props or
go to festivals.

Please reach out to me or Mert if you are willing to help out or talk to
us if you have questions.

Best regards,
Christian

[Juggle] 200+ new juggling balls; 5pm, the cut

2017-08-24 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

come and join us on the cut today around 5pm. It's orientation week, so
lots of new students are on campus already and we have over new 200
juggling balls now to give away (to guilt people into practicing or
coming back). I'll also bring the slackline.

I'll probably be a couple of minutes late due to another orientation
event, but feel free to start without me :)

Re: [Juggle] Ball manufacturing marathon tomorrow?

2017-08-20 Thread Christian Kästner
Alright. I have 50 pounds of sand, 200 shells, 66ft of electrical tape,
and hopefully all the other things we need.
Let's meet in the atrium of Newell Simon Hall around 2pm. I think the
doors are unlocked today, but if not there's usually a student entering
or leaving every 2 min.
We'll join the slackliners outside the Carnegie Library on Schenley
Plaza afterward for field testing.

@Will, could you bring the suitecase so we can transport the
finished balls?

Best regards,
Christian

2017-08-19 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi all,

the semester is starting soon and we are running low on Russian juggling
balls that we tend to give away in large quantities at the beginning of
the semester. I have 200 shells and am planning to get sand and
electrical tape tomorrow. Anybody up for a session of creating juggling
balls say 2pm in Newell Simon Hall before our regular meeting?

[Juggle] Juggling today 5pm, Wean 7500?

2017-06-15 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi

the weather forecast seems rather unstable with a fair chance of a
thunderstorm around 5pm. If it indeed looks bad, we can try to crash a
classroom. Our typical candidate rooms are officially booked, but are
likely empty anyway. Wean 7500 should become available at 5:30 the
latest.

Long story short, if it indeed starts to rain let's meet in or in front
of Wean 7500, otherwise we'll be outside. If we end up somewhere else
eventually we'll send another email.

Hi,

like last week, we're meeting again downtown in point park under some
trees near the fountain. We should be there shortly after 3pm. We'll
have some clubs and balls but only limited props otherwise.

(It's another weekend with the arts festival downtown and also there is
some children event at the library in Oakland. Also weather seems better
than last week.)

[Juggle] Juggling 3pm Schenley Plaza

2017-05-14 Thread Christian Kästner
Hi,

we'll meet as usual around 3pm outside the Carnegie Library with
slackliners and acro folks...

Based on our discussion on Thursday, for the rest of the summer, we will
more or less stick with this schedule. Unless it rains, we'll continue
meet Sunday afternoon in Schenley Plaza. I'll bring the props if I'm not
traveling, but there are enough people every week to join anyway. We
could use Newell Simon Hall as a backup for rain, but we'll likely just
cancel.

We also continue to meet Thursday afternoon around 5pm, either outside
or if the weather forces us inside, we'll crash some lecture hall.
