Re: [k-9-mail] "Failed to send some messages"

2016-04-17 Thread Paul Norman
Hi,

When email(s) are remaining in the Outbox due to this error message, because
there is an innaccurate email address (sometimes someone's name has started to
be typed, and the autofill didn't complete) is there any way of reopening the as
yet unsent email that's jammed in the Outbox to re-edit it to correct any
refused email addresses?

If I try to move it to the Drafts' folder, I get a message saying I can not
move anything that it not already synced with the server.

Thanks,
Paul

There's some information here:
https://github.com/k9mail/k-9/wiki/LoggingErrors

Unfortunately on newer versions of Android it's rather more complex than
it ought to be right now.

Is there a corresponding message in the K9mail-errors folder for any
of your accounts.

I've seen one person previously report this, but never seen either a
debug log or stack trace to enable me to work out what's going on.

If you have nothing in an outbox there's no reason for us to be
doing anything with SMTP so it's hard for me to figure out why this
is happening without one of them. :(
