[krita] [Bug 447628] New: The .profile and .shortcut files aren't being read when there's an alternative Resource Folder location
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447628 Bug ID: 447628 Summary: The .profile and .shortcut files aren't being read when there's an alternative Resource Folder location Product: krita Version: 5.0.0 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Shortcuts and Canvas Input Settings Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: jarodragon@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The .profile and .shortcut files in the custom allocated Resource folder aren't being read by Canvas Input Settings or Keyboard Shortcuts, despite newly created files being saved there correctly. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Allocate a different Resource Folder in General -> Resources configure options. (In my example, instead of on C:/ drive, it's: D:/UserFiles/AppData/Roaming/Krita.) 2. Duplicate "Krita Default" Canvas Input Settings in the 'Edit Profiles' popup. Rename to something else (e.g. "My Default"). 3. In 'D:/UserFiles/AppData/Roaming/Krita/input', a 'mydefault.profile' gets created. (Can confirm the settings are different to Krita Default when opened in a text editor) 4. During the current session, settings are remembered. 5. Upon closing Krita, and re-opening it, the profile isn't visible within settings as an option; Krita Default gets picked again. 6. The file 'mydefault.profile' is still visible in the file explorer at the D:/ location. The above process is equally applicable to .shortcuts files. OBSERVED RESULT The program does not remember, or read, the .profile or .shortcuts files in the 'input' and 'shortcuts' folders of my custom allocated Resource folder location. EXPECTED RESULT Upon creating my custom Input and Shortcut settings, they should save in the right resource folder AND be read from it. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS - Windows: 10, Build 19042 - C:/ is located on an SSD, D:/ is located on an HDD. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I've currently gone around the problem by copying my preferred .profile and .shortcuts files into the original C: Resource location. It seems to read them fine there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[tellico] [Bug 447521] customizing Tracks Table field merges some columns and other issues
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447521 Robby Stephenson changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INTENTIONAL --- Comment #1 from Robby Stephenson --- I believe you're using the "Album" template for the Music Collection and that behavior is specific to that template. Using Default or Fancy, for example, it would show what you expect. The Album template is largely tied to the default Music Collection fields, especially for tracks, where it does expect to see a duration in the 3rd column, and then adds a total album duration in the view. The track number is just added by the view template, not in the collection data itself, as well. In addition, even with not changing the 3rd track column or adding more columns, the Album template always combines the first two. So in short, not really a bug, just behavior from the specific template. I'll see if I can make it fail more gracefully, but in the mean time, just open up the configuration and change the template for music collections. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 447623] New: Truncate filenames in the middle
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447623 Bug ID: 447623 Summary: Truncate filenames in the middle Product: plasmashell Version: 5.23.4 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Folder Assignee: h...@kde.org Reporter: tomash...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 In the folder view, long filenames are truncated at the end, so for a filename like this: "Sample filename document from 2002.docx", it will get truncated to something like this: "Sample filename document fro..." (depending on your icon size and label width). It would make more sense to truncate filenames from the middle for two reasons: 1) The file extension might be quite helpful at times (imagine you want to drag the file to be opened in certain app - extension will give you a hint as to which application would open it). 2) Similar files (or versions of each other) are quite often differentiated at the end. Imagine another document like this: "Sample filename document from 2003.pdf" - you could not tell it from the original one. [Spectacle] [Bug 429841] Spectacle takes screenshot automatically when "On Click" is set on X11
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429841 Antonio Prcela changed: What|Removed |Added Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED Version Fixed In||21.12.0 --- Comment #5 from Antonio Prcela --- I can only assume the idea behind the default setting to take an screenshot immediately. Now that we have an appropriate setting, the user can choose on it's own. If we want to change the default and document it in the docs of Spectacle is up for a debate. Currently the handbook states: "Spectacle grabs an image of your entire desktop immediately after it is started, but before it displays itself on screen. This allows you to quickly create full-desktop screenshot images." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 447617] New: Add option to allow .desktop files to be seen with their Desktop Entry Name in any folder
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447617 Bug ID: 447617 Summary: Add option to allow .desktop files to be seen with their Desktop Entry Name in any folder Product: plasmashell Version: 5.23.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Folder Assignee: h...@kde.org Reporter: bode...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY In the Desktop folder, Folder View shows .desktop files with the name defined in that file instead of as the actual filename. Outside of the Desktop folder, these files are shown with their actual filename. For example, it will show 'org.kde.dolphin.desktop' instead of 'Dolphin'. I would like a check mark option in the settings for each Folder View widget which causes these files to be seen with their Desktop name. The reason I want this is that organize the Desktop into folders, and have multiple Folder View widgets pointing to different folders. For example, I could place all the LibreOffice applications into a folder and point a Folder View widget at it. Or I could place Krita, Blender, and GIMP into a folder and have another Folder View for that. Launching these applications works fine already, so it's just the appearance I want to be able to change. Thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I see that X11 was added in the meantime. Is this behaviour not present in wayland? As for your question, it does solve my issue, yes. But I still find that very confusing for newcomers why the heck spectacle takes screenshot on launch if there's "on click" enabled right there. And even if "on click" option isn't set spectacle takes screenshot right away, without delay that also set. It is very counterintuitive and UI doesn't explain WHY it behaves like that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447609 Michail Vourlakos changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO Status|REPORTED|NEEDSINFO --- Comment #1 from Michail Vourlakos --- Probably a kwin issue. I never have such issue in my system. It should also be reproducable with plasma panels. Users have reported that usually occurs after opening a computer after sleeping it. Nothing related to Latte. Take also note that Latte does not require from you to set a shortcut. Waiting concrete way to reproduce. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[lattedock] [Bug 447609] New: Super/meta randomly stops opening application menu widget in latte top panel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=447609 Bug ID: 447609 Summary: Super/meta randomly stops opening application menu widget in latte top panel Product: lattedock Version: 0.10.6 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: antint...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 144913 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=144913=edit Screenshot of left side of top panel (left icon is application menu) SUMMARY I have the application menu widget in the far left of my always visible top panel. I have the press super/meta to activate Application Launcher option enabled in latte settings to open the application menu with my windows key, and usually it works fine. However, sometimes it stops working completely (no response at all from windows key), and disabling + re-enabling the option doesn't do anything. I've tried to set the shortcut for the widget itself to alt+f1 and in shortcuts->latte dock->activate application launcher widget, but settings those doesn't help either. A restart has so far consistently fixed the issue. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Normal usage 2. Bug randomly occurs OBSERVED RESULT Super/meta key randomly stops opening application menu widget EXPECTED RESULT Super/meta key opens application menu widget in top latte panel SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 21.10 (with backports PPA) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.89.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
