[Bug 252831] Akonadi does not work properly with Domino IMAP server

--- Comment #3 from Kevin Ottens ervin kde org 2010-10-04 08:02:16 ---
I kind of assumed you were running trunk, but the partial information you
provided so far make me think that maybe it's not the case. Which version of
kdepim and kdepimlibs are you running?

Also, it sounds like a database issue, did you create this IMAP resource much
earlier (4.4 times) and then upgraded later on? If that's the case recreating
the resource might just fix your issue.

called grup, the contacts Uri and Haribert. In this setup, a search for
Uri and then deleting will result in just Uri being shown.

Autocompletion list with transparent background

In version 4:4.5~20101001.1181693-1maemo4.1181469 , when adding an participant
to an appointment, an autocompletion/proposition list is shown.

It is drawn with transparent background, which makes reading the entries
difficult (see screenshot).

[Bug 251458] KMail doesn't synchronize the folders

2010-10-04 Thread Szőts Ákos
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=251458

--- Comment #2 from Szőts Ákos szotsaki gmail com 2010-10-04 14:03:32 ---
Since in the previous three weeks there was no activity on this bug at all (on
the part of the developers), I'm switching back to the stable KMail
installation.

I hoped this bug is at least high priority because the whole program is
unusable as it doesn't download e-mails, and that's why I had to use other
clients. I didn't downgrade to able to answer your questions.

I'll upgrade to 2.0 as soon as you consider it stable, not earlier.

In version 4:4.5~20101001.1181693-1maemo4.1181469 , rearrangement of favorites
is difficult.

0) Create 4 favorites.
1) To move the 4th in top position:
2) select the 4th favorite
3) press up button
4) select the (now) third favorite
5) press up button
6) select the (now) second favorite
7) press up botton

Instead, one expects that the selection stays, such that
1) select 4th favorite
2) press 3x up button
becomes possible

Ah, kmail is too clever here, it automatically excludes your own addresses from
reply to all (which usually is exactly what you want) :) Make sure to test with
addresses not configured in any of your identities.

0) create some favorites
1) navigate to home screen
2) drag a favorites text to the right
3) the favorites text will slide in an animated manner to a position to the
right and stay there.

I expected the favorites to be just up/down scrollable (and only so, if there
are more than what would fit on the screen).

Observed in version 4:4.5~20101001.1181693-1maemo4.1181469 .

[Bug 253240] New: Folders are still shown after recursive deletion

2010-10-04 Thread Bjoern Ricks
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=253240

Summary: Folders are still shown after recursive deletion
   Product: KMail Mobile
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Maemo 5
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Keywords: komo3
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: bjoern.ri...@intevation.de

After a recursive deletion of IMAP folders some folders are still shown in the
view. I suppose that these folders are marked as delete but not removed from
the model.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create three test folders (1, 2, 3) in the inbox
2. Copy three mails to all folder
3. Move folder 3 into folder 2
4. Move folder 2 into folder 1
5. Delete folder 1 and subfolders

Only folders without subfolders are deleted completely. Other folders are still
shown in the view.

-- Information about the crash:
Kmail cerró repentinamente al segundo intento de borrar datos adjuntos
(imágenes, archivos comprimidos, documentos) de una subcarpeta dentro de
Entrada. El correo fue abierto en una ventana independiente (no parece
ocurrir lo mismo si los datos se borran desde el panel de vista previa).
Si bien el frontend de Kmail se cierra, el proceso continua corriendo y no
responde a señales TERM. Para finalizarlo se requiere de la señal KILL.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[Bug 86423] Ability To Reply To HTML Email With Same HTML Format As It Was Received

2010-10-04 Thread Timothy Pearson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86423

Timothy Pearson kb9...@pearsoncomputing.net changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||kb9...@pearsoncomputing.net

--- Comment #177 from Timothy Pearson kb9vqf pearsoncomputing net 2010-10-04
19:31:46 ---
Hi, Tim Pearson here from the Trinity project as promised.

I have added a page at this address
http://trinity.pearsoncomputing.net/crfe/
in order to be able to iron out the required specifications, and to track the
progress on these two RFEs.

I have decided to split the entire KMail HTML project into two parts. The
first would be to get full HTML support functional in the Trinity project, as
that is the environment that I am most familiar with, and there are a
significant number of corporate users of that environment. This would use
Webkit; a full proposed specification is available on the page previously
mentioned.

The second phase would be to port those changes to KDE4 and get it accepted
upstream. When the first phase is built, cross-toolkit compatibility will be
kept in mind so that KDE4 can use the code from that phase without heavy
modifications.

The threshold bounty amounts currently shown on that page will fluctuate as
requirements are added or removed; if you want to see it done for less cost
then remove some of the requirements from the specification(s).

I have left the KDE4 specification almost empty; I would like individuals who
are more familiar with the KDE4 development process and cycle to list any
requirements and/or barriers to getting the new editor accepted into upstream.

Let me know what you think!

It would be nice if I can specify a notification and let repeat it (minutely,
hourly, daily, weekly). This is very useful for let you remain things you have
daily to do for example.
It should not hard to implement.

Reproducible: Always

Hi, Tim. You can count me in on the Trinity bounty for $100. Are you
still looking for someone with a KDE4 build environment to help on the
KDE4 portion? I don't have such an environment but perhaps another
interested party does. Thanks - John

I was expecting to see a reference to the www.chipin.com site where I could
make my contribution. Have we abandoned that line of thought?

I guess that would be up for discussion still; any thoughts John?

[Bug 247889] KMail takes 99% CPU time when POP server is not accessible

I confirm the issue: with a remote POP3 server being down KMail eats almost
100% of one CPU core at checking mail box. It takes 20 seconds. Then I see
notification about failed access to mail server, CPU consumption returns to
almost zero.

KMail: 1.13.5, KDE: 4.5.1 (Kubuntu Maverick testing with enabled backports).

That's still in the plan as far as I know. I'll be hopping back into
this to help Tim organize the bounty now that he is ready. However, I
think the first step is to finalize the spec as it can have a dramatic
affect on the final bounty size. Once we have a solid spec and bounty,
we can set up chipin. Thanks - John
