Re: [LegacyUG] Customizing "My Toolbar"
No there is no way to add "Set Relationships" to your My Tool bar, the only items that can be added are those you see when you go to Design > Toolbars > My Toolbar. To add new features to Legacy you can use the "Make a Suggestion" link on the Legacy Home tab. Suggestions submitted via that link get recorded in the official suggestions list and MAY someday be added to the program. Re: [LegacyUG] Customizing "My Toolbar"
Arnold, Have you ever used the "Make a Suggestion" link on the Legacy Home tab to suggest that this be an option? Only suggestions made through that link get recorded as official requests. Talking about it here will not result in an official suggestion. Brian Kelly On 02-Mar-18 5:51 PM, Arnold Sprague wrote: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I include both our lines in one file for simplicity and often need to jump back and forth between her line and mine. I know that lots of Legacy folks strongly prefer separate family files, but how else could you find out that your spouse and you are cousins??? Re: [LegacyUG] Special Characters
The Legacy staff always clearly identifies themselves... I worked for Legacy for 14 years and led a Legacy SIG for our local genealogy society for 10 years and can get into the "support mode" when answering questions on the list . Re: [LegacyUG] LUG Monthly Reminder
The original message to the list is in the attachment. This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages without conversion to attachments should use a different email address for their subscription. Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.--- Begin Message --- Michelle: Nice review of SOPs, etc. I would have added a reminder to see the end of each email for how to unsubscribe, etc., and possibly a comment on changing the subject line. Maybe what you wrote should be repeated every six months or so. [LegacyUG] It's Friday!
TIP OF THE DAY - It's Friday Since today is Friday and I know all of you are looking forward to a weekend of genealogy research, today would be a good day to do a little file maintenance. 1) Run a Potential Problems report to see where you are in your quest for file perfection :) (turn Gaps OFF for the report) 2) Run a Find Duplicates just to give you an idea how your duplicate checking is going 3) Check your open To-Do tasks to see if there is anything you can work on this weekend 4) Check your Media Links to make sure no unbroken links have crept in 5) Do a check/repair on your file 6) Backup your file to somewhere other than your hard drive Now you are ready to get down and dirty this weekend with a researching marathon.
