[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55860] New: SLIDESHOW VIEWING: Preview incomplete
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55860 Priority: medium Bug ID: 55860 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: SLIDESHOW VIEWING: Preview incomplete Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: jvrom...@squirrel.nl Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 3.5.6.2 release Component: Presentation Product: LibreOffice When showing a presentation on a notebook using an external display, the external shows the current state of the current slide while the notebook shows the current slide plus a preview of the next slide. This is so you know what the next slide will be. However, when the current slide uses multiple steps (e.g., 'Appear' effects to show a list of bullet point items that become visible one after the other on mouseclick), the notebook shows the exact image that is also on the external display. In other words, while you can preview what the next slide will be you cannot see what the next step of the current slide will be. This severely limits the usefulness of having a preview display. Solution is to show on the notebook the current slide in its finished state, just like the next slide is shown in its finished state. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51989] PDF export performance decreased in 3.6, exponentially depending on file size
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51989 --- Comment #12 from Uwe Altmann l...@altsys.de --- imho, opening a big doc and immediately doing a PDF export says not that much on PDF-Export time. The document has to be formatted first (i. e. inserting page breaks) independent of exporting; you may also use printing for that. If you target PDF export, then export it twice directly one after another and take the second timing. Or print it before (abort when the printing dialog appears). You will see similar timings for that. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35991 --- Comment #25 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de --- @ Loz Saunders (and @ all): Thank you very much for testing! However, I am sorry to say so, but your test suffers from the same error which I have made in my comments 18 to 21 ;-). If we test with LibreOffice 3.6.2.2, as I did and you did, we may very well just reproduce bug 54862 (a regression introduced in LibO 3.6.x). What we need to find out is if *this* special issue, which has similar symptoms as bug 54862, but is far older and possibly limited to Linux, is still reproducible. To clarify this, we need to test with a version of LibreOffice in which bug 54862 is already fixed; i.e., either with a LibreOffice Master (3.7) build made after 2012-10-01 23:12:04 UTC, or with a LibreOffice 3.6 daily build made after 2012-10-02 10:57:30 UTC. You can download these daily builds from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ Or, in the near future, with some 3.6.3.x build (coming soon). If, and only if, somebody succeeds to reproduce this present issue, according to Sasha’s original description in comment #0, with such a *current* build, we know that this bug still exists, and can ask the developers to debug and fix it. Else, if several tests show that nobody can still reproduce this issue, we can close this bug report as RESOLVED/WORKSFORME, assuming that this bug was fixed somewhere in the development process. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 54630] EDITING: pasted plain text from other application appears at end of document instead at caret position
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54630 --- Comment #6 from Roman Eisele b...@eikota.de --- @Roman: Ever heard of this problem? I have never noticed this problem myself in real-life work; AFAIK pasting always works correctly in LibO on Mac OS X. I have only seen this problem in testing, under the special circumstances decribed in bug 43869: * If I check the option “Enable experimental (unstable) features” (in Preferences/Options LibreOffice General), * and copy some formatted text in RTF (not HTML, etc.!) format, * and then paste it into some Writer document, → the text is appended at the end of the document. Therefore I agree that this bug is very probably a duplicate of bug 43869. I can not reproduce it by copying text from Mail, because I don’t use that application anymore (IMHO Thunderbird is saver ;-), and not when I copy some text from Thunderbird or Firefox (because these applications use HTML format for the clipboard), but whenever I copy some formatted text from an application which uses RTF format for the clipboard, e.g. from Apple’s TextEdit application. @ Josep: Please check: Do you have checked the option “Enable experimental (unstable) features” in the LibreOffice application Preferences, section Options LibreOffice General, at the bottom of the window? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I am trying to clean up some .txt and .odt files for distribution. In some of them, there are wide swaths of paragraph breaks that make a 10+ line blank spot in the text. When I try to remove those blank spots by backspacing them or deleting them using the DEL key on my computer, Writer crashes out. Same thing sometimes when I remove large swaths of text from a file while cleaning it up. This issue, for some reason, only appears in text documents (.txt and .odt from personal experience) over 60KB's in size. To make things worse, the document recovery has issues afterwards and keeps on telling me that I don't have high enough permissions to view the recovered file, even though I am an Administrator and that is about as high of permissions as you can get in Windows 7/8 (this issue appears on both OS's according to my tests). I would attach the files in question, but they are not even R-rated, they are MA-rated so I don't think that is a good idea. This is a quite major issue since it crashes not only Writer but Writer's document recovery. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55873] New: Color widgets for drawing, text etc should offer full RGB color selection
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55873 Priority: medium Bug ID: 55873 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Color widgets for drawing, text etc should offer full RGB color selection Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: m.schipperh...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 3.6.1.2 release Component: Writer Product: LibreOffice The current widget for color selection offers from a limited set of basic colors. Very 1990. I recommend just having a full RGB color selection widget for these kinds of menu's. It's extremely common in most other programs to do it this and offers the user much more and expected functionality. I know you can enter a custom color based on RGB but that just seems very convoluted, although I can see how, if you design a letterhead, it could be useful for a template. But also in this latter case, offering the defined colors + an RGB wheel would be useful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
