Yes, I reproduce the issue in master still.

I find the problem should be located in file:

if (rSysFontData.bFakeBold) {
double bold_dx = 0.5 * sqrt( 0.7 * aFont.GetHeight() );
int total_steps = 2 * ((int) (bold_dx + 0.5));

// loop to draw the text for every half pixel of displacement
for (int nSteps = 0; nSteps  total_steps; nSteps++) {
for(int nGlyphIdx = 0; nGlyphIdx  (int)
cairo_glyphs.size(); nGlyphIdx++) {
cairo_glyphs[nGlyphIdx].x += bold_dx * nSteps /
total_steps;
}
cairo_show_glyphs(pSCairo.get(), cairo_glyphs[0],
cairo_glyphs.size());
}
OSL_TRACE(:cairocanvas::TextLayout::draw(S,O,p,v,r): FAKEBOLD
- dx:%d, (int) bold_dx);
}

yes, that's cause the bold in Asian font so ugly.

I already guessed, that it was from a previous installation (that's why I've
mentioned it) and, sorry, I have no idea, when this issue occured first.

If the guy, who's creating the Windows installer package, wants to create a
showcase of an outstanding product quality, he can easily add a check/cleanup
routine to resolve former mistakes (probably made by someone else).
If not, simply close this ticket; nobody will be seriously harmed :-)

Have a good time.

I wonder why there is in ODFF1.2:
ISERROR and IFERROR,
ISNAand IFNA,
ISERR   but not IFERR?

It may be a good idea to propose addition of IFERR to ODFF and implement the
function, as it is not much extra work when making IFERROR.

@ Merien:

You are right, at least at the surface there are two problems. But I hope that
Markus Mohrhard’s patch for bug 53870 has fixed them both (it is possible that
both problems had the same reason in the code).

So I propose:
* let’s wait until there is a new daily build including Markus’ patch,
  which was committed 2012-10-17 13:53:26 (GMT)
  (at the moment, daily builds are not coming daily ;-);
* then we (I) can test if both problems mentioned by you are fixed now;
* if yes, this (your) bug report is rightly marked as a duplicate of
  bug 53870, and does not need any further treatment;
* if no, we can always open your bug report again,
  or, even better (Markus will probably prefer this!),
  file a new bug report exactly for the remaining problem.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 34133] Add ability to reduce resolution (and so file size) of pictures

2012-10-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34133

--- Comment #8 from Nicolas R nico2...@yopmail.com ---
May be this could be an enhancement for 3.7.x version ?

This is discussed in numerous thread even in ApacheOO :
 https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=15379 (ooold request from 2003).

May I add Cédric Bosdonnat or Michael Stahl (friendly expert for writer) to the
CC list so they could be informed ?

Have you tried in a newer version if it is also broken there?
And can you tell which Linux-distro and version you are using?

Steps

2a. Register for a Password user and login - with email: user@domain
2b. Use Persona to login - with email: user@domain

3. Logout after a succeful login with the new user

4. Login as an OpenID user with the same email: user@domain

Problem
---

* There would be a error to forbid the behavior:

  OpenID failed

  Your email address may have already been registered. Plesae try to use
password or Persona to login

Extra Info

* It is blocked for security reason, mainly due to OpenID
  provider does not make an email verification. So any one could pretend

  One choice is we could provide a way to send activating code to the

It is more complicated that just setting the language to Dutch.
Whatever nonsense you type, the checker will accept is as correct Dutch.

Also if you set the language to English everything in the Dutch text is of
course wrong.
Then select a word and tell the checker it is Dutch and it will accept is as
Dutch (again, even if it is wrong).

So, yes the English checker works fine.
But the Dutch one not!

Hi,

In behalf of Proxecto Trasno (trasno.net) and the Galician NL Team,
responsibles for hunspell spellcheker for galician language (1)

I want say we have a new stable version for some related to hunspell tools.
There is a huge change because the .aff is completely refactorized by Miguel
Solla's and others work.(2)

This new release includes spell checker(2), hyphenation (3) and thesaurus(4).

I'm actually in coordination for these tools and we have decided develop two
versions: volga and trasno as for spell and thesaurus. The first is 100%
compliant with the official ortographic dictionary for galician
(www.realacademia.org). The second, only packeted as extensión in the near
future, will be for common use.

In fews words:
-new spellchecker
-first hyphenation
-firs thesaurus

Andras, can you test if the files are fine for integration.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 56131] New: Optimize download of 3rd party source tarballs

2012-10-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56131

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 56131
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
   Summary: Optimize download of 3rd party source tarballs
  Severity: enhancement
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: pmla...@suse.cz
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: framework
   Product: LibreOffice

We currently download almost all 3rd party source tarballs even when they are
not used.

One solution is to define tarball names as configure variables and define them
only when needed. This approach is already used for some extensions.

Another solution would be to improve the download script and support some
simple syntax in the ooo.lst. module, e.g:

  7376930b0d3f3d77a685d94c4a3acda8-STLport-4.5-0119.tar.gz if @BUILD_STLPORT@
== yes

I prefer the second solution because it is handy to have list of all 3rd party
modules in one place ooo.lst.in file. In addition, it is easier to update the
version in this short file. Finally, we should touch configure.in only when we
want to change the logic of the checks. It helps with cherry-picking fixes for
different LO releases.

This feature is also important for people who regularly work with presentations

having to change the default language setting each time I want to switch

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 41652] NO-BREAK SPACE (U+00A0) interpreted as fixed-width space

2012-10-18 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41652

stfhell stfh...@googlemail.com changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||stfh...@googlemail.com
Summary|“NO-BREAK SPACE” (U+00A0)   |NO-BREAK SPACE (U+00A0)
   |interpretated incorrectly   |interpreted as fixed-width
   ||space

--- Comment #5 from stfhell stfh...@googlemail.com ---
I think this should be classified as an enhancement rather than a bug. The
current behaviour is in fact ancient word processing practice, predating
Unicode standards. U+00A0 became the successor of the old hard space defined
for use with ASCII codesets, and changing the treatment of U+00A0 would break
countless documents which purposely use hard spaces as _fixed-width_
non-breakable spaces (with abbreviations like Dr Freud, i. e. or
punctuation like « Bonjour! », 5 % etc.). It would also be not compatible
with current MS Word practise.

However, distinguishing between different forms of white space is a
typographical need and should be addressed somehow. DTP software like InDesign
has all sorts of spaces: em space, en space, nonbreaking space, nonbreaking
space fixed width, third/quarter/sixth/hair/thin space (1/3, 1/4, 1/6, 1/24,
1/8 em space), figure space, punctuation space. LibreOffice has space and
hard space (and of course Unicode spaces like U+202F and U+2009, which it
handles better than MS Word).

Jan_J (bug 49674 comment 2) proposed to use the Unicode word joiner U+2060 with
a normal space to get a non-fixed-width non-breakable space. But U+2060 is a
zero width non-breaking space inhibiting line breaks at both sides which is
intended for disambiguation of functions for byte order mark (Unicode 6.2).
That does not sound like a good candidate for such a space (and one would need
the triple U+2060 + U+0020 + U+2060, wouldn't one?).

Users definitely also need non-breakable _fixed-width_ spaces, and if LO
redefined U+00A0 as of non-fixed-width (in accordance with Unicode) - what
character should be used for the classical hard space? MS Word displays box
characters for symbols not defined in the active font, which should be kept in
mind. (I know it cannot handle U+2009, but I haven't tested U+202F.)

A practical solution would probably be to let the user decide on a per
document-basis how to interpret U+00A0: fixed width or proportional? That is,
to add a configuration option under Writer/Compatibility. But even then one
should _still_ be able to use all necessary kinds of spaces at least in ODT;
they may need to be converted for DOC/DOX export, however, because of MS Word
limitations.

So I will reduce subject of this bug here to the font size problem.

@Roman:
Please do not do such changes without any further action the bug. Here are some
uncommented attachments, nobody knows for what they might be, and some 30 text
lines reporter tells some stories about his life and some trouble he has with
LibO without any new information; no idea whether there might be a bug or only
user errors. No answer at all!

@David:
Currently the font size and font in Calc comments seems to be the one defined
in Paragraph style Default.

Can we summarize your problem with: Need separate paragraph style for
Comments?

There are workarounds how to change all comments with few clicks like
http://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36465
and
http://openoffice.2283327.n4.nabble.com/api-dev-Changing-font-and-font-size-of-comments-in-Calc-td3165489.html.
I did not check them, but I think such a workaround is not optimum

I decided to hijack this Bug for my assumption in Comment 7

Currently lots of chin-ups are required if a user needs different font size,
font type or whatever else in his comments. This would become more easy if LibO
would have an own style for Comments to define Comment style

But what I read in AOOo issue is not very promising.

interpretation, but Excel types will get caught up here.

That worked fine with OOo 2.0.2, but already with OOo 3.1.1 I can reproduce
this problem, so it's inherited from OOo

Attached sample202.ods works fine with OOo 2.0.2 and shows comment box nearby
A7, But LibO will show the comment box at F2:G2.

Its a simple viewing problem. When I create a sample document similar to my
sample with LibO 3.6.3.1, the Comment will be shown at it's correct place when
I open the document with OOo 3.0.2.

So from my layman's point of view a fix should be an EeasyHack.
