[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114768] Preferred font order for Chinese locales

It is simple, and it should work. In Linux, we have "思源黑体 [Source Han Sans CN]" which is sans like, and "思源宋体 [Source Han Serif CN]" which is actually serif like. In some linux distributions they may have "Noto Sans CJK SC" and "Noto Serif CJK SC". In Windows, they have "微软雅黑 [Microsoft Yahei]" shipped by default by Microsoft Windows which is actually sans. They also have "宋体 [SimSun]" which is actually serif. These are all commonly used. Chinese "Sans" like fonts are good for headings, and for spreadsheets as well as for presentations. Chinese "Serif" like fonts are good for Text. Many Chinese people also widely use "仿宋" fonts for text, esp for printing. But as we are doing the "Default fonts", we only include one which we are sure the system has. It's up to the user to use other fonts if needed. In Mac OX X, they have 华文细黑 and 华文宋体. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115598] New: Customized menu prevents newly introduced menus/ menu item from appearing
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115598 Bug ID: 115598 Summary: Customized menu prevents newly introduced menus/menu item from appearing Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: UI Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: lo-b...@vmc-konstanz.de I have customized my menu a bit, by moving the 'Customize' and 'Options' entries from the 'Tools' menu to the bottom of the 'Edit' menu. Due to this change, menus or menu items introduced by LO releases *after* my change, will not show up here. I didn't see the 'Form' menu that was introduced in 6.0. Only after exiting LO, renaming the profile folder and restarting writer, the new menu showed up. I had a similar problem with the new Notebookbar related menu items in the 'View' menu introduced in one of the earlier 5.x releases - but I didn't pay much attention to it back then, since the feature was still labeled experimental. It looks like Writer is creating a menubar.xml in my profile folder once I change the menu layout - I assume if that file exists, LO simply reads the menu configuration from there and completely ignores whatever the current defaults are. But excluding users who customized their menus from ever seeing any newly introduced menu items is not a proper solution, IMHO. Especially since the user never gets a warning that the configuration option he's about to use might have negative side effects like that. There should be an update check that recognises clashes like that and either points them out or (preferably) offers to fix them. Since the default root menu items can not be deleted or renamed using the GUI, adding the form menu to the menubar.xml file in my profile right after the table menu should not be a problem. The situation might be more complex in the case of new menu items instead of entire menus though. I didn't check, but I'm assuming there are similar problems with the other customization options. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114552] Keep aspect ratio of images when resizing cells
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114552 --- Comment #4 from Regina Henschel--- Hi Samuel, I have read in https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/#/c/49490/, that you are going to introduce a new attribute, "This adds a new loext:resize-with-cell attribute for ODF to the draw:frame element." Please describe, how this new attribute will interact with already existing attributes 19.627 table:end-cell-address 19.632 table:end-x 19.633 table:end-y The UI in Excel and Gnumeric have these settings: A Don't move or size with cells (Excel), Absolute size and position (Gnumeric). That is "anchor to page" in LibreOffice. B Move and size with cells (Excel), Move and resize with cells (Gnumeric). C Move but don't size with cells(Excel), Move with cells (Gnumeric). Gnumeric sets the attribute "table:end-cell-address" in case of B in ODF. So Gnumeric solves the size problem without introducing a new attribute. >From my understanding, you get the case C, if no additional attribute is used on the frame. Then the size is determined by svg:width and svg:height. Only LibreOffice does currently not respect the fixed size. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

NOT reproducible (i.e., it pastes using Ctrl+V) using Version: 4.3.0.4 Build ID: 62ad5818884a2fc2e5780dd45466868d41009ec0 In it, apparently "GDI metafile" is pasted. Reproducible using Version: 4.4.0.1 Build ID: 1ba9640ddd424f1f535c75bf2b86703770b8cf6f Locale: ru_RU Also worth noting that *even in versions where it pastes OK*, the manually selected Bitmap clipboard format doesn't paste anything; so the change is in chosen format, not in code that handles that non-working Bitmap format. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
