[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116934] New: Can't select bullet character after filtering list
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116934 Bug ID: 116934 Summary: Can't select bullet character after filtering list Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.3.2 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: khanson...@gmail.com When creating a bulleted list (or list style), you can select the character for each list level from the customize tab -> character -> select. This opens the Special Characters dialog, which was recently redesigned with a text filter function. The box is called "search". Problem: If I filter before selecting a character, then click "OK", nothing happens. For an example, enter "check" into the search box, then select U+2611 BALLOT BOX WITH CHECK. As far as I can tell, the actual character selected makes no difference. Same for the font. If I scroll through the list and select the character, it works as expected. Furthermore, in the case where the dialog is accessed from Insert -> Special Character, both methods work as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116932 --- Comment #4 from V Stuart Foote--- Hey no need for vulgarity--keep it clean please! We still will need the OOXML .docx from Word 2013--though you can save from Word to ODF formats--let MS do the formula conversion to ODF MathML. Might do a better job than LibreOffice's import. Otherwise, here is the StarMath ML for the example formula (note the syntax for the chemical formulas... ml of solution left({1L} over {1000ml} right) left({mol~ of Solute} over {1L} right) left ( {1mol H_2 PO_4^{-{}}} over {1mol` solute} right ) = mol~ H_2 PO_4^{-{}} Use empty quotes "", or empty braces {} as placeholders for layout, and the space characters grave `, or tilde ~ to adjust spacing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Dumping animation data gives the following: - good: ... ... - bad: ... ... Animations only permit key times in the range of [0, 1], and the first entry has to be 0. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96763] Android Viewer does not show page breaks
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96763 --- Comment #3 from QA Administrators--- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116930] New: Calc crashes when scrolling in a worksheet containing a Chart object
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116930 Bug ID: 116930 Summary: Calc crashes when scrolling in a worksheet containing a Chart object Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stevej...@hotmail.co.uk Description: I have a chart object produced from a range of cells within the same sheet, when I move a chart up and down in the sheet causing the vertical scrollbar to scroll up and down 3 or 4 times or leaving the chart in a static position and using the vertical scrollbar moving up and down so the chart is almost out of view and so it has to redraw both of these scenarios cause Calc to crash. The crash can be reproduced without fail. I opened the same sheet in Excel and could not reproduce the problem. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Pick up the chart using the left mouse and keeping it pressed move it across to the vertical scroll bar so that the right edge of the Chart is overlapping the vertical scrollbar, move the the chart up and down so it causes the sheet and vertical scrollbar to move up and down 3 or 4 times or until Calc crashes. And/Or 2. With a chart in a sheet just keep moving the vertical scrollbar up and down with the mouse, so that the chart goes almost out of view, for me it crashes after the 3rd or 4th time if you do it rapidly it happens sooner. Actual Results: Calc crashes and I get the following pop up message with the option to Close Program. A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116890] Firebird: empty columns gone with prepared statement
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116890 --- Comment #22 from Lionel Elie Mamane--- (In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #21) > (In reply to Lionel Elie Mamane from comment #17) >> If in one case, several columns have the same name "CONSTANT" and in the >> other case all columns have unique names like "CONSTANT", "CONSTANT1", >> "CONSTANT2", etc, then we have definitely found the problem, it is in >> Firebird. > I got "CONSTANT" several times for both cases. This means the difference is in LibreOffice, and it is LibreOffice that adds the "1", "2", "3", etc to duplicate names. The case "ccols = oPrepStatement.Columns" is done in dbaccess/source/core/api/preparedstatement.cxx function OPreparedStatement::getColumns, there one sees: for (sal_Int32 i = 0, nCount = xMetaData->getColumnCount(); i < nCount; ++i) { // retrieve the name of the column OUString aName = xMetaData->getColumnName(i + 1); OResultColumn* pColumn = new OResultColumn(xMetaData, i + 1, xDBMeta); m_pColumns->append(aName, pColumn); } That's the problematic bit of code. It needs to be changed to add "1", "2", etc to duplicate names. The "ccols = oResult.Columns" case is probably handled in file resultset.cxx in the same directory, function OResultSet::getColumns(); there we see: for ( sal_Int32 i = 0; i < nColCount; ++i) { // retrieve the name of the column OUString sName = xMetaData->getColumnName(i + 1); ODataColumn* pColumn = new ODataColumn(xMetaData, m_xDelegatorRow, m_xDelegatorRowUpdate, i + 1, xDBMetaData); // don't silently assume that the name is unique - result set implementations // are allowed to return duplicate names, but we are required to have // unique column names if ( m_pColumns->hasByName( sName ) ) sName = ::dbtools::createUniqueName( m_pColumns.get(), sName ); m_pColumns->append( sName, pColumn ); } The two lines if ( m_pColumns->hasByName( sName ) ) sName = ::dbtools::createUniqueName( m_pColumns.get(), sName ); seem to be exactly what needs to be added to OPreparedStatement::getColumns -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Commonly error 2502/2503 issues are a NTFS file system permissions issue on Windows--and is not going to be the .msi packaging of LibreOffice. Simply LibreOffice should be installed as Administrator on Windows builds to assure needed registry entries are made. Several ways to elevate the Windows shell... Probably the easiest: from Task Manager -> Kill Explorer.exe; from Task Manager -> File "Create New Task" Explorer.exe, check "Create this task with administrative privileges" alternatively a Windows registry edit in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Msi.Package to add an entry to "Run as Administrator" and avoid any FS permission issue. Another way is to run Command Prompt/Powershell as Admin (from Win+X menu) and then do command line install "msiexec.exe /i LibreOffice_6.0.3.2_Win_x64.msi" And--if that still fails with 2502/2503 errors--check the existence and permissions for C:\Windows\Temp folder, the Administrators group should have FULL control of it. =-ref-= [1] https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/issues/2523 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115052 --- Comment #10 from Thomas Lendo--- Nothing new since the discussion between Jay and me.
