Wow, there are some posts again*!

I've been here since August 1995, and the list was established between
April and August that year. I'd suggest to track down Carl C (and Nick R
of course, which will be easy).

Sorry I couldn't make 7 Feb but will try the next one.

Yeah, we've earned the grey beard of seniority... 37 years in the Unix/Linux 
field now, and I've just explained the correct permissions on /tmp, and why.

Hi Steve, long time no type. :-)

I had the 'how long you been at this' conversation with a good friend on 
Saturday night who's been at this IT thing for the same time as me. 33, 
going on 34 years in IT now.  Crazy stuff.


According to what I can find on Archive.org I beat you to the list by a 
few years.  Weird reading some of my old answers to questions on the 
list circa 2001-2002.  They could be replies to questions at work 
today.  Somethings change, but some never do!
