Yes, a set of specific words to be fixed by rearranging letters.
E.g. writing quickly it often happens to write 'informazioen' rather than
' informazione'.
Sometimes that word appears correctly on the screen, sometimes it is
distorted like that, as an anagram of the right word.
Is that mistake a matter of 'learning'? You mean that i should gain a
better motor control of my fingers' movements?
My guess is that my mind form the mispelled word, while quickly
writing, because 'informazioen' and ' informazione' are the same, in
my mind.
There would be much to say about the meaning of 'learning', but this is
not the right place to discuss about that. I do not know which aspects
of learning would be involved here, but i am puzzled about how to
improve my writing by learning.
Anyway, that kind of mispelling happens often. Should i spend years to
learn, hoping ti improve my typewriting ability?
Rather, it would be very convenient to see that kind of mistakes
instantly corrected. Don't you agree?

I have to correct my observations here (probably my tikz command, a
few hours ago, was not the same; not sure):
- both normal position circle and the shifted one, have been cut off,
as displayed by LyX.
- no cut off, no shift for both normal position circle and the shifted
one, as rendered as pdf.

tikz pictures rendering

2018-10-28 Thread Pol
Hi all,
I don't know if this a lyx software issue or a tikz programming issue (i
am
rather new to tikz)

I would like to lower a bit the circle in the 'in line' command:

 \tikz \draw (0,-9pt) circle (4pt);

so that the circle appear shifted a little lower, with respect to the text
line it is in.
inserting the latex command:

\tikz \draw (0,-9pt) circle (4pt);

obtains:
1 - the picture, on the lyx display, effectively shifted downward, but
its lower part has been cut away. I would have a full circle in the text
line.

2 - The picture appears unmoved, in the pdf rendering

Any comments will be appreciated

thank you

By 'alternative language' i understood as second vocabulary that the
spellchecker use, if no entries in the default vocabulary matches the
current word. I see no reason for the spellchecker does not check any
words, most of them belonging to the default language,

Moreover, i have never explicitly loaded any vocabulary. I suppose that
has been done automatically, after the language name has been
entered. Shouldn't be the same, when entering the name of the
alternative language?

Language is set to 'predefined' (that is italian) and spellchecker is
hunspell (also tried enchant).
Alternative language that i have tried is english

Spellchecker works fine, provided that no alternative language has
been set. That is the weird case.

It is easy to embed a compiled image (PDF, JPG, PNG, EPS, ...) from a
suitable drawing/graphing program. I take it that's not what you want?

Thank you for your hints and examples, i will experiment with both programs,

cannot find styles (ms-windows)

2008-02-08 Thread Pol
I have just installed lyx with miktex on a windows vista laptop
Installation apparently completed, yet, as i try to view the pdf (through
ps2pdf) i am asked to install the fancyhdr style. Shouldn't that be in the
miktex standard package?
Anyway, the style is downloaded and installed (from the internet, if i
remember correctly).
Afterwards the listings.sty style is found to be missing. Prompted to accept
to start a search, I accept, but the resulting pdf file is empty.
Shouldn't' that listings.lst file be part of the standard package?
Any extra packages available for ms-widows?

Thank you
