Yeah that wall of Donalds,

Well all I can say is bring it on and then hopefully they will offer Pink Floyd
the chance to purform at the wall to which I’m buying tickets.

Seen Roger Waters play live here in Auckland NZ the entire Wall album / show
and man it’s mind blowing.

To see the Floyd get back together would be orgasmic

We tend to function better with our neighbors to the north. Mexico has been
dumping it’s unemployment and crime problems on us for years hence the need for
a wall. Canada is a fine neighbor who we work very closely with. Politically
Canada is more similar to us and even though they have a PM on the other end of
the spectrum politically from our leadership we do still get along very well
and I hope we always will. Canadians are some great neighbors and great people.

Simon, as I've kindly stated Canada and Mexico or countries. They're not
considered states. And eyes I've already stated, the Roman depends on your

Hi, The regular channel is an app detales page where generally you will find
an email address useful for contacting an app developer directly.
Unfortunately, my experience with microsoft is that you will get an
autoresponder alerting you that the email address on the store is not
monitored.

Microsoft has an accessibility phone number. Unfortunately, when I called it
to address accessibility issues with a microsoft app I was told the
accessibility department only handles desktop computing issues. I was shuffled
around to two or three other people before I got fed up of repeeting myself and
getting stonewalled.

I left a less than favourable review. Two months later some one responded to
me directly on the play store as my particular product is android based. Then
I could not find a way to respond back to their comment, which amounted to them
saying "do you still have the problem?", and my attempting to say, "Yes of
course, It's not going to go away on it's own".

Most developers are very responsive, even if the response is merely "we don't
care about accessibility and have no plans to improve it". Microsoft is a
different animal.

If any one has managed to get through to some one at microsoft to talk about
accessibility of it's mobile apps, I would love to know how you did it.

Best,

Erik

Hi Listers,

I’m looking for some advise regarding a currently inaccessible app on my IOS
devices.

The app is the Microsoft RDP client which as it is is very accessible until you
make a remote connection to a machine in which any accessibility features go
out the window or down the shute depending on how you look at it.

I’m wondering how best to go about contacting the developers to ask if they can
include a screen reader type feature to read out the remote connection window
content?

Can anyone give any ideas on how this would be best done?

I’m hoping that doing this might lead to getting apple to do something similar
from the IOS platform to a remote OSX connection.

Much thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Re: Quick Moderator note -was- Re: Requesting a Little Support via Twitter

2017-02-22 Thread Cara Quinn
Scott,

Of course, and that is exactly why I wrote ‘this goes for all of us’ in my note.

I actually appreciate a good venting of the spleen so to speak but this just is
not the place for this.

All I am saying is that if you or anyone else wants to vent about a thread or
person etc, either write me or Mark, or just go ahead and have at it off the
list.

That cannot possibly be too much to ask, can it? :)

And Scott, in case you are wondering why I am sending this response on the
list, I did try writing you a while back off the list but got no response. So
apparently we must continue this dance in public. lol!

Ya know, in all seriousness I’ve actually thought of starting a list just for
unbridled conversation and flaming etc but it would probably turn out to be the
most boring list ever! lol! If offered the opportunity to express one’s self
with absolutely no restrictions, people probably just would not want to take
part in it. -Either that or it would just degenerate into pure and utter
stupidity. :)

So in regard to this list, can we please please please just keep this to a dull
roar?

And yes, this goes for all of us. -And yes, I even include myself in this. I
have been snarky from time to time myself so I do understand that none of us is
immune. :)

Thanks and have an awesome evening!

Cheers!

Cara

Re: Quick Moderator note -was- Re: Requesting a Little Support via Twitter

2017-02-22 Thread Scott Granados
Nobody gave you any racist political crap, not here. Although I can tell by
your attitude you bring it on your self living with this victim mentality.

I most certainly made no racist statements nor would I. I made several
statements based on Department of Justice published crime statistics reports
but we won’t bother letting facts get in the way. Also some statements based
on historical facts.
Simon was asking a legitimate question, all be it possibly on the wrong
list:) about the structure of our phone carriers and how our states work. Just
like I do not know the finer points of New Zealand governmental and provincial
structure I’m quite sure he’s probably equally unfamiliar with ours. Being
your so defensive and worrying about people victimizing you so much you might
not know but New Zealand is on the other side of the globe from the United
States. It makes sense we don’t know about each other’s way of doing things.
Your the one showing inflexibility, rigidity and prejudice by not allowing us
to discuss something with out attack so we both learn more about each other.
Nobody had any racial intent what so ever yet the victim class is trained to
play that card along with the poor blind card, the women card, the gay card,
liberal card, republican card, single and married card and on and on and on.
You in the victim class need to learn that these are the ways we’re divided,
these labels must be discussed so they can be eventually dealt with and no
longer exist. Granted probably not on a Mac list, Mark’s points are good ones
and it’s his list so this is the last I will comment on this subject. I hate
that we’ve become a gutless politically correct thoughtless mass who hides
behind our differences and cries wolf instead of engages.

So rather than firing back snarky retorts, just go ahead and delete the

Just throwing it out there but if I were you depending on the phone you have
now I’d get myself a T-Mobile 14 day trial SIM and a Verizon 14 day trial sim
(trial periods may vary) and give them a test drive. Leave your AT active so
you have a safety net in case you have service issues and give the others a
test drive. Pick the one that feels best through out your day.

Re: Finereader Pro

2017-02-22 Thread Andrew Lamanche
Usually the defaults work for me very well. Once you press the button to
either scan images to new document, you can hear the scanner perform one scan.
This I assume is some kind of a preparatory / exploratory thing. It also
causes a new window open. If you look at the window, you can see that you are
able to adjust certain settings here, like brightness etc, before you press the
"scan" button. For ordinary size fonts, the brightness = 300 is ok - that's
the default one. But for small fonts, I adjust it to 600. If there are any
problems with the scan, a table will be presented to you with the mistakes.
I'm not quite sure though how I could correct them. I think for those one
would need sight. On the whole, I never feel I would need to make any changes.
I'm sorry if I am not much help here. Another tip for those of you who work
in multiple languages, is that FineReader can recognise up to 3 languages in
one document. This is useful for multi-lingual documents. You have to choose
these 3 languages in preferences by checking the boxes.

Re: ICloud music library discrepancies

2017-02-22 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hi,

If you meant to say "iCloud Music Library" as opposed to just the iTunes
Library, then you are correct, sort of. Music Videos purchased through iTunes
are available in the iCloud Music Library when signed in with the same account
that they were purchased. Music Videos acquired in some other manner are not
eligible to be uploaded to the iCloud Music Library. They're able to be
imported and stored locally, but just not available for iCloud viewing.

Re: adding contacts to circles on gmail website?

2017-02-22 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Hello,

You mentioned Gmail. Are you using mail.google.com or inbox.google.com or
perhaps one of the IOS gmail applications.

For the mail.google.com web site with Safari if you have a message open
there is a "people" area that includes "add joe to circles" If you press
this, you should get a menu of circles to add Joe to.

What I don't understand about circles is which direction does the sharing
go? So would I be adding some information to a circle of people or do you
consume information from circles?

Re: Finereader Pro

2017-02-22 Thread Andrew Lamanche
I'm not aware of a tutorial for FineReader.

As for your second question, once the document has been scanned and processed,
the only way to hear it is to save it in one of the formats available through
the export dialog. Once it's saved, it will open in an appropriate application
for you to read it. So .rtf document will open inn TextEdit, a .pdf document
will open in Preview, a docx document will open in Pages, etc.

Hope this will help a little.

Hi all. I wanted to pass along a link to a kickstarter campaign for
Twitterrific for Mac. As some of you may know, that App was developed years
ago, but stopped receiving updates. They're trying to bring it back to life,
but gneed ghelp.

I strongly urge everybody to back it, since the state of accessible Twitter
applications for the Mac is absolutely disgraceful. Yes, they have included
VoiceOver accessibility as one of the features.

Re: Requesting a Little Support via Twitter

2017-02-22 Thread Scott Granados
Then do us all a favor, in the upper right hand of your keyboard there is a
rectangularish key, it’s called a delete key. When you highlight a message,
say this one for example and you press this key it goes away. In fact, one of
the nice parts is you can delete this message with out reading it. More
importantly, you can choose what to read with out crying and whining in public
on list to others who may not agree with you. So do us all a favor, use your
delete key and stop spreading your special brand of crap that the rest of us
want no part of either.

Thank you

Re: Requesting a Little Support via Twitter

2017-02-22 Thread Scott Granados
We tend to function better with our neighbors to the north. Mexico has been
dumping it’s unemployment and crime problems on us for years hence the need for
a wall. Canada is a fine neighbor who we work very closely with. Politically
Canada is more similar to us and even though they have a PM on the other end of
the spectrum politically from our leadership we do still get along very well
and I hope we always will. Canadians are some great neighbors and great people.

Re: Requesting a Little Support via Twitter

2017-02-22 Thread Scott Granados
Hi Simon, we not only have carriers that cover the whole country but they cover
the whole continent. So for example, Verizon is not only available in the
continental US but it’s available through coming and interoperating agreements
with Canadian carriers and Mexican carriers as well as functioning natively in
some of these areas as well. I can as a T-Mobile customer for example use my
phone any where in the states, or the Gitmo facility in Cuba, (many other
military basis as well”. No roaming is required. Also we can call any other
number in the US with out long distance or usage charges. There are also
roaming arrangements for international travel as well. All sorts of options
with lots of national coverage.

Re: ICloud music library discrepancies

2017-02-22 Thread Ray Foret jr
Yes, in fact, it can be done but you have to specify your music videos in a
different way than as videos. I really don’t fool with that stuff very much
though. I might add home movies to my iTunes library but in that case, they
are added as home movies in the movie section. I think if you want to add
music videos, you need to specify them as albums or tracks inside an album
rather than as videos.
