Sounds to me like you need to take a close look at each mail account in
Internet Accounts, making sure each one has the Mail checkbox checked, and all
other I’s dotted and T’s crossed.

Target to Add Enhanced Apple Shopping Experiences in Store and Online, Mac Daily News

2021-02-27 Thread M. Taylor
Target to add 'enhanced Apple shopping experiences' in store and online
Thursday, February 25, 2021

Mac Daily News

Target today announced an enhanced Apple shopping experience for its
customers. The new shopping experience debuts online and will begin rolling
out in select locations this month, with additional locations scheduled to
roll out by the end of this fall.

The retail collaboration builds on Target and Apple's more than 15-year
relationship by combining Apple's latest products with the convenient
shopping experience and fulfillment services. The new shopping destination
offers an even easier way to shop for Apple products at Target by bringing
these products and accessories together in one space that has been designed
for guests to experience new products through demonstrations and
knowledgeable Target Tech Consultants, who will receive specialized training
from Apple.

"Apple products are popular with Target's guests, and this new, dedicated
shopping experience offers enhanced service and expanded offerings, building
on our strength as a go-to destination for electronics," said Christina
Hennington, executive vice president and chief growth officer at Target, in
a statement. "This new model was created with Target's guests in mind, and
we'll continue to learn and enhance the experience through future rollouts
later this year."

Target and Apple collaborated on the enhanced experience, which extends the
assortment of Apple products at Target. The dedicated space features new
lighting fixtures and displays for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods,
HomePod, Apple TV and other Apple accessories. On Target.com or via the
Target app, guests will now find a dedicated Apple experience that features
an extended assortment of Apple accessories.

In addition to this new buying experience, customers can take advantage of
all the benefits of shopping at Target when they visit the dedicated
in-store and online Apple shopping destination. This includes enjoying 5%
off their Apple purchases when using their Target RedCard, as well as
Target's convenient pickup and delivery options, including Drive Up, Order
Pickup and same-day delivery with Shipt.
Store List

The dedicated Apple shopping destinations will begin setting at the
following 17 Target stores, with additional locations rolling out in 2021
and beyond:
T2180 (Monticello, MN)
T0324 (San Jose, CA)
T1397 (Oklahoma City, OK)
T2516 (Allen, TX)
T1766 (Hurst, TX)
T1797 (Austin, TX)
T1032 (Irving, TX)
T1354 (San Antonio, TX)
T0687 (Gainesville, FL)
T1790 (Orlando, FL)
T1820 (Clearwater, FL)
T2848 (Miami, FL)
T1159 (North Wales, PA)
T2764 (Newark, DE)
T1266 (Woburn, MA)
T1532 (Nashua, NH)
T1915 (Latham, NY)

MacDailyNews Take: From being relegated to a dusty shelf in Sears, with
broken keyboards missing keys often without power cords, to "enhanced Apple
shopping experiences" with dedicated in-store and online Apple sections in
retail stores like Target and Best Buy; shows just how far Apple has come in
the last 20 some odd years.

Re: A detailed podcast on how to use the apple music on mac please?

2021-02-27 Thread Herbie Allen
I’m not sure if there is one, but I certainly could create a tutorial. Some
quick tips. For searching, you need to find the Treeview and interact. VO Left
to search and VO space to start typing. VO is not good about reading bac, so
make sure you know what you are typing. You then hit enter and look for Apple
Music.
Music on the Mac does take getting used too.

Does anyone know how to create an event on Facebook using your personal profile on IPad/IPhone??

2021-02-27 Thread 'Eleanor Roberts' via MacVisionaries
Hi all

Just wondering if anyone could help with this please. I’ve got an event coming
up and would like to create it on Facebook. I don’t have a Facebook page of any
sort, just my own personal profile. So just wondered if anyone could send me
some instructions on how to create a Facebook event using my personal profile
please?? I’d be creating it using my IPad or IPhone, not computer.

Many thanks for any help anyone can give.

When you have an incoming call, a pop up will show up, and you can choose
decline or answer. I’ve not done this with voiceover on, I only use

What the key does, or what it is sometimes called is irrelevant.
The key is labeled Delete, and therefore, the command to empty the Trash, CMD +
Shift + Delete, is correct.

Hey Folks,

Can anybody advise me as to how receptive the Uber drivers are to allowing a

I suppose, like any aspect of life, it depends on the driver.

Hi Mike,
It may be that the book you are looking for is part of the “take control“
series. Take control of zoom. It’s not written specifically from a blindness
perspective. However, people who use this series say it is very well done and
is good for voiceover users. So I think that might be the one you have in mind.

You can use the option key, with the left or right arrow keys to read by word.

Hi, group.
My question is about reading in Safari.
I navigate by headings with VO-Command-h. If I want to read text under a
particular heading, how can I do that? Can I read this text line by line? Can I
reread a word by character in these lines that was not clear to me?
If yes, how can I read by line, word and by character?
Thanks!

Most recent book about Zoom from the perspective of a visually-impaired User?

2021-02-27 Thread Michael Busboom
Hello.

After having listened to Jonathan Mosen’s excellent Zoom tutorial, I
immediately became enamored of the Zoom service. I subsequently learned about
a book on Zoom accessibility that only recently appeared. Unfortunately, I
misplaced the information and, despite googling the subject, I have struck out.
If not too much trouble, could someone please send me the book information and
where it can be purchased?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Re: Apprising Uber drivers of blindness in advance of pick-up

2021-02-27 Thread Michael Busboom
Hello Karen and others,

First of all, I am so sorry, Karen, that you had such a demeaning and repulsive
experience at the hands of anyone!

If I am reading messages correctly, I would probably have more success by using
the native Uber app as opposed to BlindSquare, and that’s really too bad. I
really like BlindSquare!

With best wishes for a greagt weekend and gratitude,

Mike
