Re: Looking for an accessible app that keeps track of phone activities

2018-03-10 Thread Michael Busboom
Thank you very much, Tim. After reading some of the traffic on the list, I
checked in the App Store here (yes, I am in Austria) and found ten different
apps with the name of my provider in the title, so going the route of a
provider’s own app might just be the best approach. I’ll let you know what
happens.

Thanks again,

Mike

Hi,

If I recall correctly, you're in Austria or somewhere across the pond :). As
suggested, probably your carrier is your best option. Most carriers either
have an app, or at least web-site account access. Many also have notification
options that are available for when you get close to various limits. Some even
have restrictors that will actually not allow you to go over. That is, when
you reach your limit, no more data is allowed etc. I've seen that for data use
for sure, but would need to investigate further for air time usage. That being

That being
said, it's most carriers,, you'll need to check with your new one. Other than
that, I'll do a bit of investigation and see if I can find some third party app
as well.

My thanks to all of you,

Re: Looking for an accessible app that keeps track of phone activities

2018-03-08 Thread Michael Busboom
Thanks for the tip, Jonathan. I will look at this provider’s website or see if
they have an app that would allow me to keep track of this info from billing
period to billing period. Still, one would think that something else would be
available. Nevertheless, I like your suggestion, and I’ll check it out.

Best regards,

Mike

Looking for an accessible app that keeps track of phone activities

2018-03-08 Thread Michael Busboom
Hello everyone,

Recently, I changed phone service providers, because the new provider has a far
more attractive LTE data package plan. The downside is that I have fewer
minutes and fewer text messages for the flat rate I pay each month.

I am looking for an app that keeps track of the number of minutes I have used
and how many text messages I have sent. If I am not mistaken, the amount of
data received and sent can be ascertained in the phone’s settings, but I don’t
believe that it resets itself automatically at the onset of a new billing
period. Does anyone know of an app that would do what I am looking for, i.e.
keep track of the number of minutes phoned, the number of messages sent and
the amount of data used? Here in Europe, we don’t pay anything for incoming
calls or text messages received.

My thanks to all of you,

Mike
