in Mount Healthy, a little "Leave It To Beaver" bedroom community outside Cincy 
in the early 1960s to him. He then regaled me of the calls he made there in the 
70s and 80s for shootings and bar fights

#1 boy has buddies who rent an old B-52 hanger in Williston, ND.  They pay $1k 
each month.  From what I am told, it has not been cleaned out, but holds 
decades of accumulated parts and things.

There are a few spots around SEA that have less than spectacular property 
values, such that dilapidated large storage space could be had for reasonable 
cost.

I've known people with mortgages under $30k, but when I was shopping for one a 
couple of years ago, you had to borrow $75k to get the best rate and the fees 
were enough to put the effective APR higher than I wanted to pay.

I ended up with a HELOC. Since my credit line is twice my balance, whenever 
they give me a promo offer (my most recent one was for 2.74% on new balances 
until September) I borrow enough on the promo to pay off my existing balance. 
My monthly payment is $64 at the current interest rate.

You can still get pretty decent houses along the gu'f coast for under 
$100k.  A lot of 1200 to 1600 SF 3/1 or 3/2 were going for 20k a couple 
years ago.  I am not sure if this is still the case.  But 40-50k should 
get you a fixer upper.

Yes, I added that, and the fold-down stairs for extra storage. If I were
putting all boxes inside the trailer, I could just stack them to the
ceiling. Since I'm putting stuff in there that's heavy and can't have
boxes put on top of it (like a radial-arm saw, a car, and such things),
I added the deck to increase the storage.

I did not buy them. When they came up on the Los Alamos freecycle list
just before we moved, I followed list wisdom and got them as quickly as I
could. They are a little rough and one of the speakers in one of the
housings was out when I got them. I have the speaker, but haven't figured
out how to reinstall it, since I'm sure the phasing is important. They
also need new coverings and some wood repair.

My friend, Bob Nible, who started a trucking company with one 1976 MB 
L1113 truck and built it into a multigenerational enterprise with 
several locations, always said the tractor (and driver) COSTS you money, 
the trailer MAKES you money.


Either way, Both Craig and Grant get a WAYTAGO!  I had 4 or 5 48 ' 
reefers and 53' dry vans, but they are all gone now.

truck... hahaha... Guess I better get busy. Have to "keep up" ;))
