Subject: Information for SayEverything list subscribers

For SayEverything subscribers:

Dear all,

As you know we have recently migrated SayEverything mailing list to a new
server and there is also a slight change in our mailing list address.

The same has already been diseminated to the members across the list,
however, I am repeatedly sending this message to keep everyone informed
about the new changes in order to ensure smooth functionality of mailing list.

We had some problems previously with the mailing list services and due to
it's result, some of our members got unsubscribed from the list end.
Now we have resolved this issue and want to ensure whether all mails are
delivered to you via new list address. I will also recommend you all to
keep eyes on your spam folder time to time, so your mails are not missed.

Kindly use the new list address: sayeveryth...@lists.sayeverything.org to
post all your messages.

Please also share this information to all your friends and associates who
got unsubscribed from the mailing list for some reasons or who wish to
subscribe to the list.

For any query or concern, do write me at: misterbh...@gmail.com or call me
on 9560175887.

thanks,

Amit Bhatt

Re: [Mobile.AI] About Talk Back

2017-03-15 Thread Chandrashekhar Kulkarni
Dear Sakina,
Under settings in Accessibility there is option called Accessibility
shortcut. If you enable once, you can easily start talkback by
pressing the power button for a while and then placing your two
fingers on the screen with a slight distance between. Hold it for a
while and talkback will announce talkback enabled. I don't know about
Redmi phone but it should be possible.
Hope it helps.
Sincerely,
C. B. Kulkarni

Re: [Mobile.AI] Signing off as a moderator

2017-02-07 Thread Chandrashekhar Kulkarni
Dear Mr. Moderator,
It is really very sad to know you are thinking of relinquishing the
post of Moderator. I know you very well since long, when you were my
student in Mumbai, Worli.
Anyway that is not important here. I have seen you taking very stern
steps whenever required as a Moderator. Same thing when a thread
continued beyond limit. You were the one who were able to control such
a large list with your hard work, knowledge and dedicated thinking in
an impartial way.
I have read your mail carefully. I understand your problems. I would
suggest all the concerned list authorities to solve the problem
through healthy discussion so that you will not be forced to take such
a harsh and unpleasant decision for all of us. Please reconsider all
the possible ways in the interest of such an important and useful
group. I hope you will be able to find some way out.
Sincerely,
C. B. Kulkarni

I have iphone 4s which I am using for learning iphone. I am unable to
activate router on this model. Is router facility available in this
model? If yes please explain how to go about it.
Secondly for last some days its home key is not functioning. I am
using Assistive Menu to go back on home screen etc. Is there any other
way? Is it possible to get the home key repaired?
Hoping to hear soon,

[Mobile.AI] Problem of talkback in oppo mobile.

2016-05-27 Thread Chandrashekhar Kulkarni
Dear list members,
Is there anyone on the list using oppo mobile? One of my friends uses
this mobile. But many times his talkback stops working suddenly.
Particularly if the phone is not switched off at night or for a long
time. Surprisingly I did not find accessibility shortcut in it in the
accessibility options.
If anyone has some idea please help how can a totally blind person can
restart talkback once it stops particularly when there is no shortcut.

[Mobile.AI] Problem with Talkback.

2015-09-21 Thread Chandrashekhar Kulkarni
Dear list members,
Writing to you after many many days.
In the meanwhile, I purchased Android mobile Moto G Gen2 with lalipop
5.02 version. Recently I face a problem with talkback. I am unable to
swipe any of the ways left to right or right to left. Every time I
have to lift my finger and place in different locations on the screen
to locate different icons including whatsap messages. It becomes
difficult for a totally blind person like me. Further I cannot
perform any of the gestures. The phone does not vibrate or give even
sound feedback even when vibration and sound feedback are on. I tried
by uninstalling updates of talkback and by installing older version.
Even I tried by resetting app preference. Since it is stock android I
cannot uninstall talkback altogether. Please suggest what can be the
way out. Presently I have to depend exclusively on shine+ which is
working properly. But I would like to know what the problem can be
with talkback.
Awaiting your valued guidance,
Sincerely,
C. B. Kulkarni

Dear List Members,
Thank you all for the prompt suggestions.
I would like to know if there are free apps for playing music,
checking mails and identifying currency as I am a beginner. I would
like to go in for the paid apps a bit later.
Sincerely,

Dear list members,
I have recently purchased Moto G 2nd mobile and I am using android

provide answers in a step by step way.
1. Are there any settings for reading letter by letter, line by line
etc. and how to access them?
2. While typing a message or an e-mail if there is any mistake, how to
locate the delete button easily?
3. Is there any easy way to find out a specific contact number for the contacts?
4. Suggest the most convenient settings for talkback for a totally blind.
I will need your help again in future as well. For the time being let
me know the above-mentioned at the earliest to begin with.
Awaiting your reply,
Sincerely,
