Truecaller releases a smart dialer app ‘Truedialer’

Truecaller is one of the most popular apps today. The developers behind 
it have a vision of changing the way we see our phonebooks and it looks 
like they are constantly working to improve our experience. The company 
has just launched a new app called the Truedialer which is a dialer app 
for smartphones.

Truedialer
It takes over from your regular dialer and gives you information about 
the contact you are calling such as profile photo, name (if it’s a 
number not on your list) and so on. It gives you access to relevant 
information about people you are about to call, and lets you save the 
information into your phonebook for later use too.
So the app works in a manner similar to the Trucaller. Every time you 
dial a number, it looks up in its database to give you access to the 
information about the number you are calling. Another nifty feature is 
that it fills up the missing contact information in your call log too. 
And if a number has been reported by the Truecaller community regarding 
being a spam or a scam number, you’ll be warned before you dial too.
The Truedialer seems to be pretty much as much functional as the 
Truecaller sibling. It is available for free for Android and Windows 
Phone 8.1.

 Seek controls are value sliders, generally situated from left to right 
of a screen. The numbers one to hundred are within the tiny line. just 
drag your single finger from left to right in the slider and fix your 
finger at the point where you'd like to stop approximately. Double tap 
on the spot where you strucked up your finger. The value will be set to 
the finger point.

 First, Let's know the messaging procedure of Android.
 You cannot send more than ten sms when you happen to send in group. It 
means, You can have only ten members or less per group.
Now the talkback team themselves started creating accessible apps. For 
text reading and editing, AccessibleEditor is available for free and 
paid. For sending sms with full accessibility, use AccessibleSmsLight 
for free, and paid version also available with little difference. These 
two applications can do the fullfillment of accessibility to the fullest.
SMSComposer is no longer accessible from Android 4.0 and above. You can 
try HandsendSms or GoSmsPro for further challenging accessibility, where 
no buttons are labeled.

Coming to the part of answering your queries,

1. How to delete a single message in android one?

Go to the thread in messaging, from which you'd like to delete the particular 
message. double tap long press on the message you'd like to delete for a second 
and lift your hand. Then you can see the options like forward, copy, delete, 
more etc either on the top of the thread or at the bottom of the thread. You 
can delete messages one by one within the thread. Whereas, You can delete 
multiple threads at once.
 
2. How to delete multiple threads?


Go to messaging, navigate to the thread you'd like to delete and double tap 
long press on the thread for a second and lift your finger. either on the top 
or in the bottom of screen, you can find the options like delete, and number of 
threads selected etc. as soon as you double tap long pressed on a thread, you 
are ready to choose multiple threads before performing an action. As soon as 
you select one thread, you can navigate to the next thread you want to delete, 
and just double tap on it to select. Likewise, you can select multiple threads 
and click on the action you'd like to perform which will be hanging either on 
the top or in the bottom of the screen. Please note that you must not press 
back or home buttons in the middle of selecting process.


 3. How to send message collectively to many recipients?
I have created groups but cannot seem to send message to them. There is no 
option.

Sending via group is a good choise if the action and the recipients are 
regular. Else, add recipients one by one by just typing their names' first few 
letters and select from the choise given below the to edit-box.

Try the procedures I told above only with stack messaging app or with GoSmsPro. 
I'm still meddling with accessibleSmsLight!

GPS, though best known for navigation, can be used for much more. 
Depending on who or what you need to locate, there is a combination of 
GPS devices and free apps that you can use nowadays.

entrepreneurs. So There are cities that can have two or more service 
centers or some cities have nil. In Pondicherry, we have two centers for 
micromax service. General complaints we are handling are Lack of

in India. Users can simply visit Google Play Store from their Android

Railyatri App
The app can be customized to filter alerts by multiple trips, routes 
and/or stations set as favorites. In fact, the RailYatri app includes an 
exclusive database of local events leading to heavy rush and warns the 
users in advance if they are travelling through any such ‘hotspot’ station.
To get maximum value from the app, users can set the particular train 
(or route) as favourite as soon as the travel plan is finalized. In case 
there is an alert they will be notified. Alerts can be issued more than 
a month in advance, so the earlier they set their favourites, the more 
time they will have to plan.

I had installed the same on my Xolo A500S but realised that, it is not
working properly. One has to double tap the letter while typing in
stead of just lifting fingure as is the case with Google keyboard but
also I found that, while mooving the fingure on the screen, it does
not speak where my fingure is situated.

Request any help on the matter.

I also read on the Google Play that, its a tool where one does not
need to look at the screen while typing.

For Nokia phones, you need to first install Nokia PC Suite and then
have to setup the connection using New Connection wizard. The
connection can also be established by using Nokia PC Suite, but I do

You can easily do that either by switching on to WiFi tethering or USB
tethering without any extra driver, I've been using both these methods for a
long time without any issue.

 Connect the casset player to computer in the line in port.
 Choose line in as your default device.
 play the casset player, and record with the help of any external 
softwares to convert save directly as mp3. Or, record in sound recorder, 
and get it saved in .wma, and then edit or noicefilter with the help of 
goldwave or any other Audio editing tools, and save them as mp3 in fine 
quality.

see “full unroot” . Touch and follow instructions. After a restart your 
device will be back to normal state.
Note : If your device is heavily modified then just a simple unrooting

What is superuser app ?
Superuser is a small utility that manges access to the root permissions, 
kind of like a gate keeper. It makes sure that applications can’t make 
changes to your device without asking you first. Most roms come with 
some kind of superuser utility installed, but when rooting the stock 
Android rom one is necessary.

How to know if you are rooted?
The presence of superuser app itself is the sign of knowing you are 
rooted. However you can download Root checker and then check your 
rooting status.

Is it safe to root ?
Rooting is completely safe if you know what you are doing. Granting 
access to apps which can harm your device will of course end up badly, 
but knowing what you are doing and using root permission cautiously.

What are the things I can do after rooting my device.

Google, once a search engine is now well established software and 
hardware maker is going to bring affordable Android smartphone to 
developing nations, from its own handset manufacturing unit, Motorola 
which was acquired by Google in 2011.

moto-G-India
Motorola shrinked its handset business in India by that time and now 
Google-owned Motorola is all set to takeover its market position. 
Motorola is going to launch its much-hyped affordable Moto G in India in 
coming days. In US Moto G is selling for $179 (8GB) and $199 (16GB). 
That is translated into INR 11,000 and INR 12,500 approx. respectively.

Under the hood:
Motorola keeps Moto G simple. It ships with Android 4.3 in Brazil and 
Europe but Motorola promised a Kitkat 4.4 update by 2014. As Indian 
launch is by January 2014, we hope Moto G might be the first handsets 
with KitKat in the country.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with quad core 1.2GHz 
Cortex A7 processor, Andreno 305 GPU and 1GB RAM. Its 4.5 inch display 
with 720 x 1280p has 326 ppi and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. 
There is no microSD slot (like all Nexus phones) but it comes in 8/16GB 
storage capacity.
There are some usual features: 5MP rear camera with LED flash, video 
recording at 720p, front 1.3MP shooter, HSPA+ 21Mbps, Bluetooth v4.0, 
WiFi, WiFi hotspot, active noise cancellation mic, 3.5 mm audio jack, 
GPS via A-GPS  GLONASS, accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and 
Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery. It misses NFC but who is using it in India. 
It’s little bulky at 143gm. Google will offer 50GB Drive storage as Cloud.
Color is the in-thing in smartphone arena and Motorola is offerimg 
several back panels – blue, teal, red, yellow, purple, white, and black 
covers, as well as rugged versions and flip-style portfolio covers for 
the Moto G (the company says there are 19 options in total).Design wise 
it looks alike earlier launched Motorola’s flagship Moto X.
Many argue that Indian smartphone market is dominated by Samsung and 
other Indian brands like Micromax, Karbonn, Lava, Xolo and others; and 
thus Motorola’s re-entry will not be a easy route. And there are already 
many Android smartphones which are available for Rs 4000 or less. Even 
at that price range there are several competitors like Samsung Galaxy 
Trend, Micromax Canvas 4, Karbonn Titanium S5, Lenovo A850, Xolo Q1000S, 
Lava 504q, Gionee Dream D1 – to name a few.
Then what Moto G stands for? It is a excellent vfm (value for money) 
product which ensures impressive hardware and almost stock Android 
experience with certainty of future Android upgrades, last thing many 
manufacturers care about. Moto G may change the whole ecosystem of 
Android devices in the country and reduce the OS fragmentation.
In a whole Moto G is a fantastic handset, which will give a lead for 
Android over other OS as well as other Android brands. Last couple of 
months Windows phones is doing better in India, thanks to Nokia 
branding. Moto G may trigger a new vfm smartphone war and as of now Moto 
G wins.
Tips: Using a low budget smartphone and thinking for a winter fest 
upgrade at around 12-15K? Wait til January next year as Moto G lands in 
India.
Special request to MTS India, the data focused operator, Moto G supports 
1x- EvDo too. You already missed Diwali timeline to bring new smartphone 
from Micromax. Why don’t you ask for Moto G single SIM variant or Dual 
SIM variant with awesome data offerings (existing plans are not cheap 
compared to Reliance and Aircel’s 3G tariffs)?

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited that provides telecom services under 
the brand name MTS today announced that it has received its Unified 
Telecom License effective from 3rd October, 2013.

MTS India - SSTL
The Unified License will enable MTS India (SSTL) to provide technology 
neutral telecom services (GSM/CDMA/LTE) for a period of 20 years in 8 
circles – Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Kolkata, Tamil Nadu, UP 
(West) and West Bengal. With this development, SSTL becomes the first 
telecom operator in the country to be a part of Unified Licensing regime.
Rajasthan is another service area where SSTL has its CDMA Mobile and 
data services but is being run under the old telecom licence called the 
Unified Access Services Licences (UAS).
MTS was only bidder for the CDMA spectrum (800 Mhz band) in the March 
2013 spectrum auctions and won spectrum to operate in 8 circles – Delhi, 
Kolkata, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh (West)  
West Bengal out of total 22 circles for Rs 3,639 crore. The company 
already had its operations running in Rajasthan service area.

Nook is an eBook reader made by Barnes  Noble. In addition to physical 
eReaders, they also make apps that allow you to read your content on other devices 
such as smartphones. This month we reviewed their Android app.

   The Nook app for Android is a real milestone in accessibility to books for 
the blind and visually impaired.

   The first time you run the app, it will present a screen asking you to 
either log into your Nook account, or create one. A Nook account is free, so if 
you don't have one, create a new account. If you do, sign in.

   Once you have signed in, if you have an existing account, all your books 
will be displayed from your Nook library in the cloud. To download a book, 
simply double tap it and the book will then be downloaded and opened. If you 
have created an account for the first time, some free books and some samples of 
books you can buy will be in your library. The samples are periodically 
updated. You can open any of these freebies or sample books in the same way.

   Also on this library screen, you can filter the books by only books on the 
device, books in the cloud or all books. You can also sort by Author, Recently 
Read, etc.

   Assuming you have a book open, you can do one of two things. You can either explore 
the screen with your finger, at which point you will get a line of text read to you as 
you touch it. If you use this method, you can use Talkback gestures to find out spellings 
of words, etc. The second alternative however is to tap a checkbox near the top lefthand 
corner of the screen, which says Reading Unchecked. However, if you tick this 
box, automatic reading will start and continue until you stop it. Stopping auto reading 
is simply done by touching the screen. If auto reading is stopped, you can flick to 
previous or next page with a two finger left / right gesture. Left for next, right for 
previous page.

   Next to the Reading check box is a bookmarks checkbox, which again is 
unchecked. Check this and you can move to bookmarks or add them.

   If you tap the More Options button near the top right, you will reach 
settings, contents, etc. All of these things are accessible, including moving 
to any chapter in the contents, any page number, etc.

   You can also adjust font size, though I don't know the effect of this as I 
am totally blind. I tend to set the font to the smallest size, as I get the 
most on a page.

   Finally, you can also side load books. That is to say if you have your own 
books in .epub format, even if they were not purchased from Nook, you can load 
them onto your phone and read them in the Nook app.

   When you close the app, your position will be remembered. If you sync your 
library before you close the app, your position will be remembered across more 
than one device which is great for me, as I have an Android phone and tablet.

   In conclusion then, I cannot fault this app at all. It is completely accessible 
and I congratulate Barnes  Noble for doing a fine job. I only hope that Amazon 
will learn from it when it comes to the Kindle app, which presently is inaccessible 
on Android.

months ago and was pre launched in India few days back on some online

lay your hands onto this. While the device looked attractive at the 
first glance, we decided to check out the features and specifications in 
detail.

Ever wondered if you are on a call and can check another incoming call 
in the background, put the present call on hold and answer the call 
which is waiting in the background, swap the calls, Divert the call to 
another number or finally join a conference to speak with more than a 
person at a time? Yes, all this is possible with Call Management 
Services provided by the Operators. Now let us check what are the 
different Call Management Services provided by the operators as well as 
supported by the handsets in general.

This table shows the availability of services with different operators.

We will have a look into what these services actually are:
1.Call Waiting: Lets you to know about an incoming background call if 
you are already on a call, so that based on the importance of the calls 
you can switch between. This is a basic and free CM service provided by 
all the mobile operators.
2.Call Hold: This is a facility which is used to keep your ongoing call 
on Hold – something like pause and make a new call or answer a call 
which is waiting. This is also a free service from the operators who 
support this feature.
3.Call Conference*: Lets you to speak with 5* different people at a time 
so that you can have grouped conversations simultaneously with all the 
people in the call. Charged as a normal call according to your tariff to 
each individual call, this is a free service provided by the 
operators.Very bad that Reliance and Vodafone IN (in some circles) are 
not providing this feature for prepaid subscribers at present which is a 
very basic service.
Update on Vodafone:Service not available for Prepaid customers in AP, 
Kerala and Karnataka.
1.Call Forwarding*: Lets you to forward or divert calls to other numbers 
on some predefined conditions (busy, switched off or not reachable, 
forward all calls). The numbers to which calls can be forwarded varies 
with different operators so please check with your respective operator 
to know about the service completely. Call forwarding is a free service 
from all the operators except the normal call charges apply when a 
forwarded call is answered.
2.Call Barring*: Many operators tend or even boast to provide this 
service, but in fact this service is perfectly provided only by Airtel, 
Tata DoCoMo and Aircel. Call barring is a service where you can bar 
(stop) your incoming and outgoing calls temporarily on requirement which 
is password protected by the operator.
If you need assistance for the service from the above mentioned 
operators you can contact and get this service active on your number.
Coming to the call barring service, I really feel there is a need to 
discuss on how aware the operators and the cc executives are on their 
own services provided by the company and in an urge I’m putting my 
experiences below:

Vodafone IN:
Though Vodafone IN shows up this service in their call management 
services on their website this service is not available for prepaid 
subscribers and only available for Post Paid subscribers.
I tried to activate call barring service initially on my Vodafone number 
and failed .I complained to Vodafone care and they took it so extremely 
well that they checked with their technical team and informed me clearly 
that this service is available only to postpaid subscribers and hence 
you are not able to activate it. Though the information present on their 
website is not updated accordingly they cared to clarify me on of the issue.

Vodafone CB
Nowhere on their website is mentioned that this service is not available 
for prepaid subscribers, but their cc team finally concluded that this 
service is available only on postpaid which should be mentioned in the 
website as well to avoid confusion. Anyways Thanks to Vodafone for 
providing clarification on the issue.
Idea Cellular: The same case with idea cellular. I have been trying to 
activate the service on my idea cellular number and failed many times.

To my astonishment Idea cellular briefed up an entire section for this 
service in their FAQ’s section but it failed to provide the service as 
mentioned on their site. The Customer care representatives are not even 
aware of this service and if strongly requested the only response we can 
get from them is “This is a handset dependent feature and for password 
or other required details please check with the support team of handset 
manufacturer or take your phone and go to the service center”.
This is the dumbest answer any cc team would give without having 
knowledge of their services, which were clearly mentioned on their website.

CC Executive 1: Sorry sir, this feature is not at all available with idea.
CC Executive 2: Please call 12345 from respective number and request for 
service activation.

From top end smartphones to the ones at the bottom of the pyramid, 
Samsung does it for all. The company had recently disclosed its plan to 
come out with yet another smartphone for the budget conscious consumers.
Though there was no formal announcement since then, Samsung Galaxy Trend 
Duos (GT-S7392) smartphone has been found being sold for Rs 8,490 on 
many e-commerce websites including Snapdeal and Flipkart. This launch is 
in the face of a neck-to-neck competition that the South Korean company 
is facing by its counterparts like Micromax, Karbonn et al who are 
specialists in the segment.
The device was available much earlier in China with a different name. 
Its specifications and features are as follows:

Samsung Galaxy Trend Duos
· Display- 4.0-inch WVGA display with 480×800 pixels resolution
· Operating System- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
· Processor- 1.2 Ghz dual core
· Weight and size-11.1 mm thick and weighs 128.5 grams
· Connectivity- Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) , 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 
Bluetooth v 3.0 and GPS
· Camera- 3MP rear Camera with proximity and ambient light sensors, no

· Battery- 1500mAh battery for a standby time of more than 300 hours, 
talktime of about 15 hours on 2G and about 12 hours on 3G
Our Take: Despite being a low budget phone, it offers decent set of 
features. More than this, it sends out a clear message to the 
competitors that Samsung is not going to give it up easily. However, 
there are some shortcomings which may play a dampener. There is no front 
facing camera and a miniscule 3.0 MP rear camera. Hence, the 3G SIM 
running on one of the two slots may not be of much use. Similarly, 
Samsung could have used a notch younger version of the Operating System.

on August 2,2013 , DoT had exempted Internet – Broadband services 
revenue from adjusted gross revenue (AGR) – part of telecom company’s 
earnings on which annual licence fee is levied. But now DoT  issued 
corrigendum to this new telecom licences agreement (Unified Licence) 
bringing revenue from these services under its cess net.

Corrigendum for Internet Services Under Unified Licence notified by the DoT
It had said that AGR will be calculated after deducting revenue from 
pure Internet (access and content) services, sales tax paid to the 
government and roaming revenue paid to other operators from the total 
revenue earned by telecom service providers.
However, in the corrigendum on calculation of AGR DoT has mentioned 
 ”Revenue from Pure Internet Service under heading B-Deduct stands 
deleted.”
Under the new Unified licences telecom operators, including Internet 
services providers, will have to pay uniform licence fee of 8 per cent 
annually on AGR.
The Internet Service Providers Association of India has warned the step 
would lead to hike in consumer rates by up to 30%.
Mr. Rajesh Chharia, President, ISPAI said ”the move is a major setback 
in broadband penetration, especially in rural India, as there will be 
cascading effect and license fee on multi point will increase broadband 
price by 30 per cent”.
All new telecom services providers are required to take Unified Licence, 
while as of now there would be no effect on existing companies because 
will have to migrate to the new licence on expiry of their permits for 
continuing their services.

There are times when a company comes up with more than one of its 
promising product at one time. There are two different possibilities. 
First, these products eat into each other’s sales and two, these 
products may complement each other’s sales and the company may drive 
volumes.
For the time being, Micromax is betting heavily on two such products 
which belong to the same segment- Micromax Canvas 4 and Micromax Doodle2 
A240. Hence, you may find yourself in confusion as to which one to go 
for. We have compared the two devices head on to help you-

Screen- Micromax Canvas 4 has got a 5 inch IPS display unit with 720p 
resolution. On the other hand, Doodle 2 has a larger, 5.7 inch HD 
display screen with 720X1280 pixels resolution. Off course, the bigger, 
the better. Moreover, the picture quality in Doodle 2 gets an edge over 
Canvas 4.
Operating System – Micromax Canvas 4 as well as Doodle 2, both run on 
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. Hence, you can expect no winner on this 
front. Moreover, it is expected that both these phablets will be 
available with an operating system update, i.e., Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. 
Hence, even with update, the match will be drawn between the two.
Processor- Gaming, video, and browsing capabilities on a device depend 
heavily on its processing capacity. Canvas 4 boasts of a 1.2 GHz

Hence, Canvas 2 emerges out as a clear winner in this case as it offers

Camera- Canvas 4 has got a 13 MP camera at the backside along with 5 MP 
camera unit which faces the front. On the other hand, Doodle 2 has 12 
megapixel rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. Both these cameras come 
with LED flash. Hence, Canvas 4 gets an edge over Doodle 2 in this 
department as well.
Connectivity Features – Doodle 2 comes out with dual SIM (GSM+GSM) with 
EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS and 3G. Similar features are available in 
Canvas 2. Hence, nobody wins over the other on this front.

Micromax Doodle 2
Battery and other features- Canvas 4 has a 2000 mAh battery as compared 
to Doodle which gets powered by a 2600 mAh battery which runs 
significantly more than that of the former one. While Canvas 4 can 
provide you with about 300 hours of standby time, Doodle 2 can do it 50% 
better by providing you with 450 standby hours. Talktime differs 
similarly. So you already know which has a better battery life. Both the 
devices have similar pre-loaded games and other apps like Facebook, 
Whats app, Hike, Spuul, M! Security and M! Zone. So, its again a tie 
here. Both come with features like Smart Pause, Skitch and blow and 
shake to unlock.
Price- This is the most critical one. Doodle 2 is available for Rs 
19,990 and for Canvas 4, you will have to pay Rs 17,999.
Our take- Having read all the comparisons, its not a very difficult 
choice. Despite being an elder brother, Canvas 4 either wins or draws a 
parallel with its younger brother. While Dooldle 2 has a slightly bigger 
screen a better battery life, it offers noting much in terms of 
experience. If you are an enthusiast about the latest devices, then go 
with Doodle 2 else save almost Rs 2000 and buy a Canvas 4 for yourself.

Coming to the article I’m going to give out My as well as the voice
ofmany Tata DoCoMo users across various telecom circles regarding the
problems faced with Tata DoCoMo Data Services on GSM Network.
I still remember those good olden days when I used to connect to
Internet on Tata DoCoMo Network on my Mobile with just a single attempt
on the go and continued the internet session as long as I made a
disconnection myself.
And now things changed (as far as I’m concerned I’m facing these two
issues since the past 6 months), it’s not the same as before or anymore.
Though speed is not a problem with me any time in any location there are
two main problems which are irking users a lot.
■Auto Disconnection of Internet session every 40 minutes.
■An Internet Session don’t get established with just a single attempt on
enabling Data.
(To be brief, as soon as Data is enabled on Mobile we will not get
connected to the internet, we need to enable and disable data multiple
times or require many attempts to get connected to Data services)
Let me discuss the
1.Very first issue of session auto disconnection every 40 minutes.
I have contacted customer support team many times regarding this issue
and their response was
We would like to inform you that we always strive to offer high quality
services and connectivity to our esteemed subscribers. With an objective
to avoid the discomfort to our subscribers due to bill shock at the end
of billing tenure or excess balance deduction, the internet/GPRS session
is designed to get disconnected after 40 mins of session. This way we
help you to avoid any excessive charges due internet usage abuse and
GPRS/Internet session kept live ignorantly.
If there’s anything else that you want to share with us, we are all ears.
Good that you are all ears, please listen user’s problem also. What if
someone uses a data pack and the user doesn’t want an auto disconnection
protection from you?
My Number is active on a 2GB Tata Docomo Data pack and you are still
enabling that auto disconnection mechanism on my number which irks me a
lot daily. Doesn’t it sound funny to you at least?
I wonder who so ever have designed such a logic to maintain 40 min
session to help save customers to avoid any excessive charges due to
internet usage abuse, thank you for your too much care towards those
people who ignorantly use internet and later repent on bill shock or
excess balance deduction.
What about users who activated a data pack and still facing those 40 min
disconnections? Don’t you consider them at all?
Ok, we will now consider another scenario. I’ll agree that you are doing
me some favor in saving me from bill shock on excess usage.Can we
discuss what after that 40 min session disconnection? Aren’t you aware
that again after the end of that 40 min data session, data gets
connected after some time?
So, finally what way this is leading to?
Connected (40 min session) – Disconnection – Connected (40min session) –
Disconnection

Do you feel that people will have their screen always on and monitor the
Data activity to check and disconnect their data connection? In such a
scenario this auto disconnection formula is not going to help anyone.
If I’m right in understanding the reason behind this logic, It have been
designed keeping in view of the people who enable data without any data
pack and continue hours of browsing without keeping track on the usage
and time of their usage. In such a scenario you are right, absolutely
right because this acts as a Reminder or Disturbance for every 40 min
intimating their usage and balance left (prepaid) to all those users
surfing internet without any active data pack on their numbers.
But i’m just curious to know if this disturbance is required for users
who are active on any data packs?
As we all know you are all ears, if you care so much for your users
please change the logic this way
Enable that 40 min session disconnection only to those users who are not
active on any Data plans and leave the rest of users with some or the
other Data plan active for peace.

Meru Cabs today launched Meru Mobile App for iPhone and Android devices 
that will enable customers with instant cab bookings on the go.

What makes the application even more special is that it offers a unique, 
first of its kind service called ‘ICE Alert’ that can be used by Meru 
customers “In Case of an Emergency”. The Meru Cab application can be 
downloaded free of cost through Android Play Store and iphone App Store 
respectively
The unique ‘ICE Alert’ option that one can avail in an emergency 
situation is a value added service offered by Meru, specially designed 
keeping in mind the safety of Meru customers. Through this service one 
can alert family members or friends in case of an emergency and receive 
help as soon as possible.
A customer who wishes to avail of this service would have to feed in 2 
contact numbers of family or friends, who will be alerted as soon as the 
‘ICE Alert’ option is selected. They will also be able to view the exact 
location of the person for 30 minutes. This service can be used at any 
given time and not only on booking a Meru Cab.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is on a major revision drive across 
all categories of prepaid vouchers and today they have revised all Pan 
India SMS Packs and introduced one new SMS STV for all of its 2G and 3G 
prepaid customers.

BSNL New SMS Packs
BSNL’s SMS Packs priced Rs.12, Rs.24, Rs.31 and Rs. 52 presently 
offering Local/National On-net SMS at0.5p/SMS  Local/National 
Off-net-SMS at 10p/SMS now revised and with these packs subscribers will 
get 130, 265, 385 and 860 Free Local/National SMS to any network across 
India respectively.
With SMS Pack of Rs.83 now BSNL prepaid customers would get FREE 1650 
Local and National SMS valid for 30 Days.
BSNL also introduced one new pan India SMS STV 147, offers 3000 Local 
and National SMS (any network) with 60 days validity.

BSNL New SMS Packs 15 August 2013
Note :
1.The above revision will be implemented with effect from 15 August, 2013
2.As per TRAI regulation, above SMS tariff is applicable up to 100 SMS 
per day and All the SMS beyond 100SMS per day will be charged 
Rs.0.50/SMS or SMS charges as per Base Tariff whichever is higher.
3.The MRP of the SMS STVs is flexible of Rs 3 (+/-) of above price, 
depending upon local market condition and technical feasibility 
available from circle to circle.

India’s Department of Telecom (DoT) is examining a proposal for making 
it mandatory for GSM and CDMA mobile and data service providers to take 
fingerprint or any other biometric feature of the customers at the time 
of receiving application (CAF) for a new mobile or wireless service 
connection.

Shri Milind Deora, Minister of State for Communications and IT today 
said that DoT has recently received a suggestion from the Home Ministry 
indicating that a central database be maintained by DoT of all 
subscribers which maintains biometric parameters akin to the ‘Aadhaar’ 
card system.
According to Mr Deora “As per this proposal, this would entail taking 
fingerprint/thumb impression or any other unique biometric feature of 
the subscriber when he/she applies for a mobile connection.”
However he also clarify that presently its proposal which will examined 
by the DoT and decision on the same is yet to be taken.
Strengthening the rules for taking a new mobile connection, the DoT last 
year (in November, 2013) came with tough guidelines which called for 
physical verification and all other information provided by the 
subscriber in CAF.
The new guidelines (effective from last year) for mobile or wireless 
connection also made service providers responsible for inaccurate 
information provided by customers for taking new prepaid and postpaid 
mobile connections.
If the information furnished in the CAF is found wrong, the SIM card 
seller /PoS (Point of Sale) or mobile operator’s franchise may file a 
police complaint against the mobile subscriber within 15 days of 
bringing it to the notice of the telecom operators.

 Samsung is the least. Because,
 Their wont available after six months even in their service centers.
 Their battery capabality is also low in comparing to other brands.

has 2400 MI lian battery.

(TRAI) had received a number of representations from consumer
organisations regarding the need for further improving the existing
complaint redressal mechanism. The key concerns of the customers were
lack of awareness of the appellate authority and the procedure of appeal.
The Highlights of the draft regulations by TRAI are:
1.Provision for lodging appeal to the appellate authority at the
consumer care number of the complaint center.
2.Apart from communicating the details of the action taken on the
complaint to the consumer, the procedure for appealing to the appellate
authority is also communicated to the consumer.
3.Upon disposal of the appeal by the appellate authority, the details to
be communicated to the appellant through SMS or e-mail or post.
4.Accessibility of the complaint center of the service provider to its
consumers in person as well as through voice call, SMS, E-mail and post.

Sony has finally launched its flagship device, the Xperia Z Ultra in 
India for a price of Rs 46,990.The smartphone will be spearheading 
Sony’s lineup in India and the device will lock horns with the likes of 
the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 and the recently launched LG Optimus G Pro.

It has a screen of 6.4 inches which makes it the biggest smartphone on 
sale in India in terms of real estate.The smartphone will come dyevoid 
of any stylus but Sony claims that it will work with any capacitive 
stylus or a pencil with a diameter of more than 1mm.

Our Take: The device may be a bit on the costlier side of things but 
then there is nothing on sale as of now that will come closer to it in 
terms of performance. If you have a budget of around Rs 45,000 and look 
for performance then the Xperia Z Ultra will be probably the safest bet.

Price: Rs 46,990.

I am quite new to android so will expect feedback from other people as well.
I also heard about a keyboard called KII.
it's pro virsion allows us to insurt a row of numbers on the top of
the keyboard hence, it can illiminate the need for pressing the symbel
key each time.
further more, It also a fascility of suggesting contact names while
you are entering the name of a. contact for sending a message.
I am yet to test it with passwords.

Then you should try hanging the call while keeping the phone away from your 
ear. I too, faced such issue and later adjusted the same by applying the same 
method. To me, it is the Proximity sensor which is preventing the power key to 
function.

other smart phones at present.

Ministry launched the SMS-based ticketing system. The SMS system is 
likely to come handy and easy to use for people who do not have access 
to Internet or smartphones as tickets can be booked from 
non-Internet-enabled phones too.
Presently Railway’s SMS based ticket booking system launched with two 
dedicated numbers — 139 and 5676714 as a pilot project by Indian 
Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), will also help 
railways overcome the menace of touts who fleece unsuspecting passengers.

The key features of SMS Based Rail ticket booking on mobile phone:
· Ticket can be booked within minutes;
· basic mobile phones are sufficient; no internet connection is required;
· The user will get ticket details on SMS instantly.
· SMS along with valid ID in original can be used for travel, no 
printout is required.

HOW TO USE IRCTC SMS BASED TICKET BOOKING:
Book your ticket through USSD (as of now for Airtel users) :
USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) based booking for Airtel 
subscribers*

Registration
• Register for Airtel money by dialing *400#.
• Load cash on this or recharge from any Airtel money outlet.
Booking Flow
• Dial *400# and select book tickets option.
• Select Reservation.
• Enter your IRCTC User ID.
• Enter the details of ticket (station, train no. date of journey, class 
etc.).

• Enter mPIN for authorizing payment.
• Booking confirmation SMS is sent by IRCTC and same can be used during

 Definitely you would have confused in this arguments.
 As of my usage, Dialer is not a big issue.
 It can be solved by third party applications like DWContacts and dialer.
 android 4.2 is 97 percent accessible as of my user experience.
 for the best quadcore phone below 12000 are,
  XoloQ700 and Q800.
 I have experienced Q700, and find the best in price range.
 Battery is also 2400 mh.
