[mssms] RE: [MDT-OSD] Slow Windows Update

2016-08-19 Thread Jeff Poling
I added the July 2016 update rollup (KB3172695) which, I think, includes
updates to the Windows Update agent. After doing so, the ZTIWindowsUpdate
script appears to be working better. The only issue is that there is a known
problem with that update that affects Bluetooth software from intel. So I may
need to update Bluetooth software packages as well.

Thanks,

Jeff

I know there is all kinds of discussion out there about thisis there a

It only lists that KB for 2003 R2 and XP. Maybe it was superseded by something
for Win10 if you're getting that message?

Alas no, found this on an old forum post, got excited for a few minutes as the

task sequence steps and then added an additional partition that would use 100%
of the remaining space and it resulted in the "ZTIDRIVERS: Path not found (76)"
error again.”

So there is still a customisation (the ssd boot drive is ‘1’) its back to drive
1 single partition

Doing a book 17 g3 in MDT.

Was going ok, the usual usb driver issues and a missing ssd driver in the hp
driver pack…….:) All the usual quality you’d expect.

Anyway, then just as the driver discovery kicks in, (we are using
manufacturer/model variables) we get an error “Unhandled error returned by
ZTIDrivers: Path not found (76)” it’s for Intel display driver.

I checked the path and the inf was in the right spot.

Tried:

  *   Removing that driver
  *   Removing all drivers
  *   Re-installing all drivers
  * Re-installed all drivers except display drivers.
  *   New task sequence

At the moment I have no display drivers under that model, it’s now come to the
first one the is there, accelerometer.inf and the same error has occurred.

Anyone seen this?

The C++ runtime for Visual Studio 10, is required – not sure about a hotfix…
If you use the MSI to deploy Acrobat XI then you have to install it yourself.
Setup.exe might install the VSC++ runtime, but I am not sure of that… The MSI
definitely does not. You should also make sure Winword is not running when
installing Acrobat.

Here is some pseudo code (autoit script ) I use to do this…

EndIf
EndIf

EndIf
EndIf

; Perform installation

Seems like C++ runtimes and maybe one hotfix is required, testing now.
