Re: [NTG-context] Does Makempy still work?
Hi, As suggested by Hans, here is an archive with the tex file I used for the tests and the resulting -mpgraph PDF file (plus all the logs and stuff). It looks OK, but when I use pstoedit -f mpost (v3.50 with gs v8.70), only e, m and c from the formula are in the resulting metapost code. I will try with pstoedit v3.45 later today. I use ConTeXt (MkIV) from TeXlive 2010 pretest. If anyone has enough knowledge in gs and PDF files (Luigi?) and especially enough time, could you give it a look please? Thanks in advance. I will send the PDF to the author of pstoedit too. [NTG-context] collecting user wishes for streams related functionalities
Hi All, Hans will starting looking into the development of 'streams' for mkvi soon. So let us gather our wishes for these functions so that the interface can be well thought of beforehand. Please respond to this thread with your wishes and I might compile them later in one place if doing so makes sense. To begin with here is my first wish: Being able to flow multiple texts in parallel. A simple case is a translation of the same text running on opposite page while the original runs on left/right page. In my thesis these are not translations, but correlated texts written for different audiences. (think of levels in a CG game) So the texts need to be designed differently. To extrapolate this facility, if columns on one page can run such parallel texts then we can have multiple translations running together. [NTG-context] polish sorting
Hi, I'm creating some sorting tables. While researching this topic I stumbled on the Polish dictionary sorting rules: if two strings are equal except for case then the one gets precedence that begins lowercase.[1] (This seems to apply to the Swedish order as well but I have no means to verify that. Apparently, my German dictionary (from 1991) follows the same rule without explicitly stating so.) Context seems to prefer it the other way round, so I modified two functions from sort-ini.lua to handle that; but I'm not happy with this solution. So my question: is there already, or could we have some mechanism to influence the details of sorting in context? Hi, Paul Menzel wrote: What is the reason? Because it is too much work to set it up or because it is not wanted? Speaking for myself (and I have only one or two small modules, so I am not a 'big daddy'): the lettrine module is indeed in subversion locally just as almost anything I do is these days. But I have the repository to make sure I do not accidentally delete file and/or so I can go back to previous incarnations to check for abnormal mutations.
