The instructions on using Jira links – AKA LATEST_ID were adjusted last week to reference the move to git – they were required so I could run the fully automated ARM templates even while the installation scripts were in pending review. If there is not a specific reason you need to run Amsterdam then I would suggest moving to Beijing/master so you are off the hybrid environment in Amsterdam and on an actively supported version of rancher/helm/docker – as this stack is a moving target – likely moving to Rancher 1.6.18 any minute now. Perhaps we can schedule an installation demo of OOM on Beijing on zoom for the benefit of anyone else in the community. The wiki you are referring to had a reference to the latest ID on a temporary JIRA attachment while the installation artifacts were in review for 8-10 weeks -they have since been submitted to git in the following directory. I would advise not using oom_entrypoint.sh in favor of running a 2 step oom_rancher_install.sh and cd.sh so you can install the undercloud separately from onap. Hi Mandeep, I recently installed Amsterdam release and am able to access the portal directly using the portalapps container ip. Previosuly when we tried it was through VNC portal as mentioned by you. During access through VNC portal we were able to access the SDC/VID components from a different server also. Now when we try to access directly through portalapps IP only the main portal page is accessible from other servers. Note: I dint make any changes to access directly . Just downloaded the oom of Amsterdam branch recently and brought up. Direct access was introduced in OOM Beijing. I am sure there are ways to get direct access either by a new approach or by backporting what was done in Beijing. It also depends on what you did to get direct access in Amsterdam using Kubernetes. I think the problem you are facing is that the widget applications loaded by the portal are not being exposed externally or are not reachable by your client that is on the same subnet. That is configured in the portal database for each application. I believe you can view/edit this in the portal GUI under application or widget configuration. There is a URL and port for backend and frontend widgets that also would need to be reachable by your client and not just the main portal front end. The port will need to be a nodePort and in Amsterdam I don’t believe they are because within the VNC pod the internal ports are resolvable. [onap-discuss] Service distribution error in SDC
Hi All We have installed Amsterdam release of ONAP on Kubernetes. All services are up and running and we are able to access the ONAP Portal. We have successfully created a demo vfw service, we are able to test and approve the distribution. But the distribution of service is failing with " Error code: POL5000,Status code: 500,Internal Server Error". Please help us in resolving the issue. Note: Dmaap is running and we are not able to see any error in SDC logs. [onap-discuss] ONAP using heat templates
Hi All I am trying to install ONAP using heat templates on Openstack Pike. I downloaded the template and environment file from the link https://nexus.onap.org/content/sites/raw/org.openecomp.demo/heat/OpenECOMP/1.0.0 . The stack is up and am able to access the VMs. But am not able to access the ONAP PORTAL. When I logged into the portal VM and ran "docker ps -a" I could see there is no docker installed. So I guess the installation might not have completed successfully and just empty VMs are created. Kindly let me know how to check the installation or let me know any other working heat templates. [onap-discuss] VNC portal single user mode
Hi All We have setup ONAP, able to access the ONAP Portal through VNC portal and proceed with further testing. But we could see limitation with accessing VNC portal that it's in single user mode. So we are not able to access at the same time and proceed with our work in parallel. We are facing time lag in our work due to this limitation. Is it the limitation with VNC portal or ONAP portal, and is there a way to overcome it ? We found from code that UUI is directly making API call to MSO whereas to other components it’s through MSB. So where exactly we should check or specify the correct MSO IP in UUI? I am able to access ESR via MSB port , but the vnfm and vim is not getting
registered. I could see “Bad Gateway Error” during registration. PFA screenshot

We would like to reinstall only MSB without disturbing the other services. In
that case will already installed services be registered in MSB automatically,
or it will require manual registration with MSB.

We don't have to manually unregister and register services in OOM/k8s
deployment. Kube2msb is watching the k8s deployment change events and
automatically register/unregister services to MSB.

Hi All We have currently installed Kubernetes based ONAP Amsterdam on our environment. We need few clarifications regarding MSB. 1. UUI/ESR is not able to communicate with AAI through MSB, but all corresponding services are registered with MSB. What could be the issue? 2. We would like to upgrade MSB image to latest version. In that case should we re-install all the other components so that it will be registered with MSB or is there any other procedure to register the components with MSB without re-installation? I am using OOM 1.1.0 release and following the steps/videos posted in
wiki("https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/vFW+instantiation+E2E+-+OOM+with+OpenStack;).
At step 10g (create VF-Module for vFW_SINC) I am facing the error "Maximun
number of poll attempts exceeded."
And VF module on the VID page shows orchestration status as "pending delete".
Also the stack doesn't get created in my OpenStack environment. I could not
manually delete the VF module also. It shows "System failure" when trying to
delete . How do I get past this? Any suggestions on what could be
failing/missing. I tried two times and it's failing with same error "Maximun
number of poll attempts exceeded."
Kindly suggest solutions to solve the issue and successfully create VF module.

Thank you Brein, Glozman and Ruijing. I was successfully able to bring up all the ONAP containers and could access the ONAP portal. But while initializing robot(./demo-k8s.sh init_robot) before health check its failing, and in logs I could see its due to "KeyError: u'GLOBAL_INJECTED_SCRIPT_VERSION'". Please find attached logs from /logs/demo/UpdateWebPage/log.html and let me know how to resolve it. Also in health check (./ete-k8s.sh health) the steps for the containers which I installed is PASS and all other were in FAIL including multiple API's. Is this the expected behavior but in a video(video from the link https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/vFW+instantiation+E2E+-+OOM+with+OpenStack) I could see most steps of health check are in pass state. [onap-discuss] [rancher][onap discuss] Amsterdam release installation
Hi All, The Rancher installation, Host registration in Kubernetes and the ONAP containers(They are in container creating state , taking overnight to come to running state) are taking a lot of time to come up , almost a whole day in Amsterdam release even after prepulling docker images . Hi Brien We downloaded the latest oom and were able to proceed but now the fe and be of SDC , vnc portal and dmaap, global Kafka of message router are not coming up due to error “search line limits were exceeded. Some dns names were omitted”. We have Internet access without any firewall and we have configured google dns in resolv.conf . So kindly help us in resolving this issue . The error is “searchline limits were exceeded, some dns names have been omitted.” We have prepulled 1.1.10 branch and using v1.6.10 of rancher and 2.3 version of helm. We have set nameserver as 8.8.8.8 in /etc/resolv.conf. Please find attached screen shot of error and kindly help us in resolving the issue.
