Re: URGENT, lost favourites on trip
Thank you, I used a differend unpacker but it worked. It would be nice if osmand itself contained a way to 'unpack' its own backups. Perhaps easier solution would be to move the data folder to internal memory (if you have enough space there) and do the copying of your maps in two steps - once, to the SDCard, and then in phone move it from there to the internal storage folder. Another possibility is to use adb for copying from and to PC. Not sure if you are comfortable with it. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. As Android 5.1 is now "old", personally, I wouldn't expect changes in Osmand. As for the copying - copy the files manually. First do a backup of the Osmand folder (or the Android/data/xxx.osmand.xxx folder) - not sure how you have it installed - to keep it safe. Then, change the path and manually copy the files in file manager. Osmand will see the files as soon as they are in the correct folders according the path set in the Osmand settings. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Tried changing the data storage folder to app storage. Said yes to copy maps. Reboot the app and no maps or settings. Looks like when you first installed the app for the first time. No data. Fortunately, when I changed it back to shared memory, it found all my maps, settings, tiles and GPX tracks. Seems like another defect to me. I expect that the changes in 5.1 that precipitated the original problem would continue in all future versions of Android. I would also expect that a solution could be crafted in osmand. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Re: Can't enable/disable vector maps 2.8.2
Your diagnosis seems plausable. Two phones, one Android 4.4.2 and second 5.1. Both set data storage folder to shared memory. 4.4.2 - download maps - local tab can be manipulated, and save a calculated route as a track works also. Tried saving a calculated route as a track on my 5.1 device, and indeed it did not save the file. No error message, just did not save the file. No error message on download maps - local, just an endless spinner. Moving to app storage is not viable for me as I need external access to add vector maps that I create using osmandmapcreator. Wondering now if I can change the data storage folder to internal and back again without loosing my custom vector files. I may try that. I am curious as to why a file manager app like ESfilexplorer can manipulate the files but not osmand? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Re: Mapillary does not work
ok thank you. When will OSMand distribute the update to all users via the normal update process via Google Store ? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group.
