SV: [Owfs-developers] owfs and nslu
I have made some more tests on building all packages, but I have had lots of problem to build the kernel-module. Since Unslung 6 will be release any day I probably won't be able to build any module for Unslung 5 and the 2.4-kernel... Fuse-lib (and fuse-module) already exists in openembedded/packages/fuse/, but I haven't been able to compile this for the 2.4-kernel. Right now it's built against the 2.6-kernel... and I have the 2.4-kernel running on my NSLU2... I received my NSLU2 today, and I read some more about the different distributions I found out that unslung requires an external disk for all extra installed packages. Openslug could be used without any extra hardware, and packages are installed in the flash-filesystem. (if they fit) I have an USB disk at home, but I will only be able to concentrate on doing owfs-packages one distribution and I feel I want to use openslug with writeable flash-filesystem. Does anyone else have any experience of unslung and openslug? How should binaries be distributed for unslung? The current nslu2-development package seem to be broken right now, so I had to patch it a bit before it could compile anything. I would go with unslung to hit the biggest userbase. Does anyone else have any experience of unslung and openslug? How should binaries be distributed for unslung? Tar-files? The binaries are in ipkg format, similar to debian's dpkg format. I think there's a template that you can use to roll your own package, and then you can submit it to be included in the main package archive.
