I received my NSLU2 today, and I read some more about the different distributions…

I found out that unslung requires an external disk for all extra installed packages.

Openslug could be used without any extra hardware, and packages are installed in the flash-filesystem. (if they fit)

I have an USB disk at home, but I will only be able to concentrate on doing owfs-packages one distribution… and I feel I want to use openslug with writeable flash-filesystem.

Does anyone else have any experience of unslung and openslug?  How should binaries be distributed for unslung?  Tar-files?

/Christian

I have ordered a NSLU2, but I have started to do a full cross compilation here and I will probably have some fresh binaries to test when the hardware is delivered.

The current nslu2-development package seem to be broken right now, so I had to patch it a bit before it could compile anything. (just in case anyone else are trying right now)

By the way,
