Re: My Review of Replay AV
I use Replay Radio which does most of the same things. The shows are saved in their own folders. At 02:55 PM 2/22/2006, you wrote: hi. I've got a quick question about ReplayAV. When it saves your shows as mp3s, does it save them all in one folder, or will it save all your shows in different folders for each show? Like for example if I wanted to record 3 different shows at different dates and times, will all these shows go into a single folder that I have to look through, or will each show I record have its own individual folder with the name of the show so it's better organized? Juice does this for all the different podcasts I subscribe to, and if Replay did this it would be absolutely ideal. Thanks. Thanks for responding. Yes, I can use the volume controls from the control panel, but I am interested in using the control on the headset wire itself. Re: plantronics dsp headsetRe: flash card recorder
Hi Charles, Have you installed the software that came with your headset? When I bought mine I discovered the drivers on the CD were out of date and I had to go to Plantronics web site to download the upgrade. Assuming you have done this, the only way I know to get the volume control on the headset cable to work is to, go into Control Panel's Sound and Audio Devices and select the Audio Tab. The Sound Playback Default Device should be highlighted. If it is your sound card, use the arrow keys to change it to Plantronics Headset. Tab to OK and press Enter. All sounds should now come through your headset and the volume control will work. Good luck. Robert. - Original Message - From: Charles Reichardt [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. Re: FM Transmitters`
Hi, It's fantastic. I've got a little radio by my couch, and also by my bed, and I can do anything on my computer from either place. In my living room, I just hit mute on the remote for the main surround sound bose sterio, create my playlist with only the little radio on, press play in winamp, hit the mute, and there you go. Marginally received fm npr stations which can be tuned in on the web, now are no longer marginal but come blasting in, crystal clear. My brother has a radio show up in Bangor, Maine, on comunity radio, which streams its programming, so I can listen to his show from here in Massachusetts, or down in Tampa, or in San antonio. Well you get the picture! On cold blustery days when staying in bed for a couple of extra hours is warranted, I read my email from bed, with a hot cup of coffee by my side on the night stand! And, when xmpcr is in the mix, the remote keyboard serves as a super remote control. I can be out on my deck on a sunny afternoon, portable keyboard at hand, Bose wave purring away and change the xm radio stations. There is an audio review of this unit on MosenExplosion.com. However, even when the unit has been modified to broadcast at maximum power, it's useless compared with the Veronica. We live in quite a built-up area in a very small apartment, and we can't even enjoy static free reception throughout all of it. Re: plantronics dsp headsetRe: flash card recorder
Hello Robert. Thanks for the info. I've done what you suggested and the headphones do work. I still however can not adjust the volume with the inline control. I can do it through the control panel but not through the hardware. Interestinly though, I can put the headset on my wife's machine and everything works just fine, so there's something just a bit wrong with my setting etc. I have the headset as the preferred device and all seems well. Is there a way to switch between my SB life and the headset easily. I can do it by changing the settings in the control panel, but is there a shortcut or some quick way of doing it. I use my soundcard to drive an fm transmittor which I use constantly, but would like to use the headset when I'm at the computer. By the way, the microphone mute switch on the headset cord seems to work fine. Any help you might give will be very much appreciated. using and adding with url finder/Re: My Review of Replay AV
I too thought your review was terrific, and right now I'm trying the demo till I really get comfortable with this program and what exactly it can do. I know I'm limited right now with the demo but I wanted to see if I could use u.r.l. finder and I have a couple questions. First, can you put any station into this? For instance one station I'd like to have would be the ACB radio interactive stream if Replay AV supports this. If this can be done with any internet station and I want to go ahead and add, how exactly do I do this? Jonathan, when you were at your list box all you had to do, I think, was hit your internet explorer key and you got Google and could search right there. When I tried going to internet explorer while on the combo box (using Jaws 7 I should also add) I got no search fields at all. Hoping someone can explain how to do the search and then add the proper u.r.l. But it definitely looks like a great program and there's something for everybody in that extensive station guide. Also love the way it schedules the shows for you when the guide is used and you don't even have to bother with setting a timed recording. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Hi. Actually, as Jonathan points out in the review and demonstration, you can record up to 10 shows all at the same time, this is assuming of course you have the bandwidth to push that. If you're on dial-up, you won't be able to. But if you have broadband this shouldn't be much of a problem. Hi All, I recently noticed a problem with version 5.13 of Winamp. For some reason it plays all my MP3 files in mono rather than stereo. Do I have to adjust a setting in the preferences, or must I reinstall Winamp? A solution to my problem would be greatly appreciated. I have not yet checked for 5.2, but I did notice that the preferences seemed to be somewhat different from those I have noticed in the past. I have usually had to change the preferences in order to play .asx files in Media Player. When I tried doing that this time I did not find the same preference selections as I had previously seen, or perhaps I wasn't on the right menu. . Are things that much different or am I having a senior moment? sigh Pam ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Re: New Preferences In Winamp5.13
Check your speaker settings on the sounds and audio page. On at least 2 occasions, Winamp has changed my sound card settings. - Original Message - From: Rick and Pauline [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. questions about mixers
I am now using a DJ mixer (Numark cm100) because I need to use turntables, cassettes, CD players, etc. I'd like to go to a production mixer like the Behringer ub1202 for example. My dumb question, what is the least expensive way I can adapt all those RCA males to whatever I need TRS or 1/4 male plugs. What do I need to adapt them to and what would be a good cheap pre-amp for my turntables and do you have a cue functions on production mixers, would the solo function act as a cue. Thanks, sorry if the question is rather dumb.
