Re: goldwave problem
greetings, I am using GW V5.70 on a windowsXP Home system, my only screen-access is Jaws and an ancient version being V10 on this Kompak laptop. I have a file open in GW and pressing the space bar starts where I am, not at the beginning. I prefer this, I have the three play controls set as follows: F2 (play1) = all F3 (play2) = selection F4 (play3) = view depending on which play I last used, determines how much is played when the space bar is pressed, in effect, this like the j k l winding function mirrors the function key winding. I am fully aware of cue points and fairly often use them as you for creating cd tracks. I am aware there is now a new function in the cue system about which, as I write, I know little but it is mentioned in the What's new notes which came with V5.70. I find the play settings given above are exactly what I most need and rarely find a need to alter them. If you would like, I can, off-list of course, send you my settings and keyboard files, maybe these will cure your problems. Be aware I have made modifications to the keyboard file, in the area of recording keys. To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
Converting problem
I have a question, for anyone that might be able to help. Not sure if the mp3s i have here are either krupt, or broken. But when i play them they seem to be slowed down, and the music sounds very low pitch or someting. Is there anything i can do to bring them back to regular playing speed, and pitch if that is the problem? Why is it that when getting some mp3s from different sources they are krupt like the above? does the kruption happen when converting the files or are there just some places that mangle the mp3s so much as to not be usable? This is perhaps the most frustrating piece of software I have ever worked with. I simply want to remove all the music from my iphone and re sync everything. The problem is that I synced some music by mistake and now want to remove it. When I go to the library sync and check the stuff I really want there and sync again, the unnecessary stuff is not removed. Can someone help with this? There seems no easy way to change the music content of the iphone. We often use Cue Points to mark specific parts in a file. In my case these will indicate where tracks are to begin on a cd. In order to go from one such point to the next one, we use control-j. Just to indicate what I've just tried, I changed to a different screen reader. This next might mean something. When a file is playing, and if I press the spacebar, the file should start from its beginning at the next press of the spacebar. It does not do that. It commences at the same place it was when the key was first pressed. I hope I clarified this. Again, thanks for your help. Re: re for soundforge users
Hi, when you get your list of devices using the system tray for speakers, when you look under recording don't highlight anything. Right click, or press shift-f10 or the applications key, and enable both show disabled devices and disconnected devices. Press enter on both of those, even if you have to go out and come back in making sure nothing is highlighted first when you make your second enabling choice. Then, look, again, under recording devices. You will see a disabled device called stereo mix,. The first page of the properties for the device, dialog box will give you the ability to enable the device. To get to that dialog, hit alt-p while it is highlighted. -- Curtis Delzer. HS. Re: re for soundforge users
Hi. I just thought I'd chime in here to say I found no such disabled device -- I found a couple of ones not plugged in, but nothing like Stereo mix. I find total recorder does record what I hear because they have a kernel driver, but no device like that.
