RMC 5 Debug info
Sunshine and all members who use Replay media Catcher 5. Below you will find RMC 5 debug steps. I will need debug logging information. Here is the general procedure. 1) Make sure Replay Media Capture (RMC) is not running. 2) Close e-mail clients, IM, and other programs that use the internet. Close all browser windows except for one. 3) Open Replay Media Catcher but DO NOT start monitoring yet. The start/stop switch should be green and say START. 4) Go to the Help menu in RMC. Choose About. Click the Support tab. Click on the Debug Mode checkbox. Click the OK button. 5) Start recording in RMC by pressing the green START switch (the switch will turn red and now say STOP). 6) Go back to your browser, enter the following address: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kdpj1lpodA and hit Return key to start loading the video. When RMC is finished (either by completing the download or by error) or after 1 minute if nothing is being picked up by RMC... 7) Close your browser window. 8) Back in RMC, stop monitoring by pressing the red STOP switch. 9) Click on Help in the menu, select About, click the Support tab, and click the Email logs to support link. 10) The zipped logs will be placed on your Desktop. Please send that zipped file to Applian tech support. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com
Re: Replay Media Catcher 5 for Sunshine
Yes you have the latest RMC version. Uninstall Firefox browser and re-install Firefox browser. This will give us a better idea if its the browser or RMC with the issue. Also, why not use Internet Explorer browser if RMC has no issues with it? Run RMC then open your Internet Explorer browser to capture whatever you need. - Original Message - From: Sunshine sunsh...@abe.midco.net To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Saturday, August 23, 2014 9:34 PM Subject: Re: Replay Media Catcher 5 for Sunshine i am using the latest version as well, unless the ending of 54 is out of date. Did you choose start recording via the library menu bar instead of the start recording button on the main UI. Did you make any changes on your computer recently? Did you add a Firefox addon that may have affected RMC5 ability to record like maybe the no scripts addon. In Firefox did you by any chance change the redirect checkbox. Replay Media Catcher 5 is capturing youtube using Firefox browser 31 with no problems. Press enter on the library control on main user interface of RMC 5. Re: Sound card question
If you tell Windows to use the external sound card in its settings for both playback and recording it will always use the external sound card for you for your media. You must tell your screen reader to use the other / internal sound card in its settings. For JAWS you can do insert j then u then o then review the list of available sound cards. This is great. Since I don't speak Spanish I thought they may have an English version. No, RadioGeneral.com is an international project of Spanish-speaking mostly blind people of some 25 countries, who present over 100 programs weekly to thousands of listeners of so far, 104 different countries. It is something I started about a year ago and has grown rapidly. I have, actually have had for a while, plans for a similar online radio station in English, but have not yet started it due to lack of volunteers willing to dedicate long hours of altruistic labor for the pure pleasure of doing radio. I do not pay royalty fees, nor emit music programs unless we have the permission of the composer and performer or just the performer, if public domain. Almost all our programs are unique, programs where people want to share their passion or expertise, or come from OTR. There is a way to mute the microphone but I have not tested it. You have push/move the mic down and it mutes. Move it back up and it unmutes the mic. The right ear cup has on the outside flat side a round rocker control. It is about the size in diameter like a penny or 16-18mm circle. Cannot miss this control. If you push up this control to 12 o'clock position the volume will go up in increments. At 6 o'clock the volume will go down. At 3 'o clock its for gaming mode and 9 0'clock its for voice mode. I use the 9 0'clock here. I pushed towards 9 o'clock position. To the left of this rocker control there is a power button. You will find it once you know. We are still on the right ear cup. It has a EQ presets. 3 presets you can choose from. Base, premium and I forget the other one. It slides up and down and clicks. Also next to this presets area there is a mini USB slot which you connect the loose mini USB connector that extends from the transmitter unit. This is how you charge the headset. So I let it charge for an hour first. you must pair the headset with your transmitter next. The transmitter has a button on its top. The right cup on the headset has the poer button. it is next to the rocker control. You hold down the power button on both the transmitter and Headset for 5 seconds and let go. Setup says to do it for 2 seconds. I had no indication that it was paired. maybe I missed something. maybe I should have had the headsets on and listen for something. From Applian http://www.applian.com Windows 8.1 has new security features which will interfere with the Audio Driver in RM6 as well as Replay Media Catcher 5 and Replay Radio 9. For all, Secure Boot needs to be turned off in the BIOS in order to pull audio out of programs. I am unsure if this is possible to do using your screen reading programs. Re: Is Integrated Sound Adequate?
Is this Roland unit plug n play? No software and does it have controls on it? - Original Message - From: Kelly Pierce kellyt...@gmail.com To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Saturday, July 05, 2014 1:56 PM Subject: Re: Is Integrated Sound Adequate? Steve, It all depends on the kind of system you have and the fussiness of your ears. At the end of last year, I bought a Dell 8700 computer with the Intel i7 4770 processor, the fastest chip on the market at the time. It had built-in HD audio. When the Dell pre-amp was configured, the audio sounded as good as the M-Audio 24/96 sound card I bought 10 years ago with the highly regarded Casio drivers. The computer came with separate jacks for a quadrophonic speaker setup as well as 5.1 audio in addition to the regular jacks for traditional stereo, line in and microphones. Computers with less sophisticated microprocessors may not have as many options or HD audio. That said, I want one sound card for the screen reader and one sound card for audio playback and recording. To that end, I bought a Roland Duo USB audio interface for $37 on eBay. It normally retails for $200. Dancing Dots recommends this audio interface to its customers using Windows computers. The company is the leader in accessible music and audio production by the blind. The audio from the Roland interface sounds real and lifelike and instruments are more distinct than the integrated sound card. This should be no surprise as the audio is processed outside the machine in a different cycle from the computer. Try as they do, Intel and Dell cannot deliver in a mass-market product the quality that audio focused companies have been doing for years. If you just listen to spoken word audio and popular music, the integrated card could be acceptable. If you like listening to classic jazz performances, classical music, or instrumental music and deejay or stream capture or edit audio on your PC, then a second sound card or an audio interface is needed. For a lousy $37, including shipping, why is anyone anguishing and spending precious brain cells on such an obvious decision. With the rapid advancements in motherboards and hardware generally I'm interested in people's thoughts about whether it's still better to buy a dedicated sound card or have we now reached the stage where using integrated sound on the motherboard is adequate? I bought my current PC in July 2008 so it is about six years old. I'm currently running a Creative sound card. I've never used integrated sound on the motherboard on my home PC before. Also I don't need the most expensive sound card available but I don't want it to be too basic either. One feature I would like is the ability to provide some type of virtual surround sound as I have limited space where my PC is located and only room for a two speaker system. I appreciate there is no right or wrong answer to this question but I thought this list would be a good place to ask because there are bound to be a lot of people who are a bit more fussy about audio quality etc. Any feedback would be appreciated. Hi Thank you. I know about this already. At what point were you asked to point at the two lame files in order to get it to work? I keep a copy of Lame always available for these cases, if you do not have it, just look for it in Google, it is free to download and use. When you convert text to MP3 with this or any other free software, it will ask you for the location of Lame unless, as Sunshine pointed out, you previously copy the files to its folder. Sunshine is also right about its speed, it is slower than for instance, Balabolka, but I don't think that is a major concern, accuracy is much more important and time will tell how accurate it is. What do you mean by tagging here. Are you saying to add the track details for songs like artists, album and title manually entered or automatically looked up by a database to add this info for your tracks. If you are looking for this sort of thing Replay Music has it built into its software when you record with it or you can manually can import your MP3s into Replay Music. Go to Replay Music's list view and press your context menu keyboard or shift+F10 and choose import. Find the files you want and they will be added to the Replay Music 6 list view. Hi. I moved the file with the info on Replay Music, so I'm writing a new message about what I want to do and what I found out about the program. By tagging a file, I'm wanting to get the title, artist, album and the year the track came out. I looked at the Replay Music program, but it looks like it's designed for streaming content. I already have the files on my PC, but they don't have anything in the metadata, and their titles are something like Track 01 or Audio Track 01. I looked at iTunes, and it looks like it may do what I want. I'll keep you updated. Thanks for the info. Kevin Minor, Lexington, KY kmino...@outlook.com

It is called the URL Finder tool. It is built in within Replay Radio 9 and Replay Media Catcher 5. At first, Replay Media Catcher 5 will appar inaccessible to a blind computer user but it is not so. This is why I asked you to contact me by email / Skype if necessary. If you want the direct URLs of audio streams then try Replay Radio 9 instead and it is accessible and much easier to use. Re: Replay Music 6 Audio Tutorials Are Here
Please listen to the Replay Music 6 audio tutorial. You can use Replay Music 6 in many ways and they are, - record music streams that have silence between tracks which will enable your tracks to be identified with track title, artist and album name. - record an audio source like from Winamp or from your browser - if the stream your recording doesn't have silence between tracks you can manually split the tracks by pressing ctrl+s at the end of each track to split the track or by pressing the split tracks button - you can manually split tracks from a long recording you may have done in the past. Like from a long mp3 file. 11/27/2013 11:24 PM, Peter Scanlon wrote: Hi, Does this program allow you to capture and split up and label songs from a radio stream.
