Replay Radio info
From my notes, I was the beta tester over two years ago. I do not know what your computer skills are but if you know what a menu bar is and can tab around and look for buttons on the Replay Radio 9 interface and knows what a Schedule tab list view and My Recordings tab list view are and knows how to edit a edit field box to search for a station within the Replay Guide and then adjust the time and date fields for your station then you will be fine. Like any application it takes time to learn its user interface at the beginning. You can also tune to your stations that you have added via the guide or manually. Which screen reader do you use. If you have a station or show that is not in the replay guide you can have it added to the guide by Applian. You can email the person I know there that is in charge of the guide. When you add a station from the replay guide you will get this scheduler window on your screen. You click on this +add link within the replay guide after finding your station and then the scheduler window for your station appears. This scheduler window can be used via the tab keyboard key with edit fields and combo boxes. The scheduler window has the tabs and they are Recordings, Tuning and Advanced tabs. To go into one of these tabs you need to have focus on the desired tab then press your enter key to make it the active tab then proceed with your tab key to see the settings / properties for that particular tab sheet. Using insert+tab with JAWS or NVDA will say Recording checked or if you pressed your enter key on the tuning tab it will say tuning checked which means it’s the active tab. You can record your stations and tune to them. Some of the stations you record will be captured silently in the background which is called Direct Download. It all depends on the station you are using. In the scheduler window for your station there is this No Conversion Settings button which you press your spacebar on and will allow you to change the origianl stream format to be from FLV to MP3. Some stations use FLV so doing this will automatically convert your original FLV stream recording to MP3 format. You can also convert manually any recordings you have in your My Recording list view to MP3. Say you see this FLV recording for your station you recorded you would arrow down to this file and press applications key / context menu / shift+f10 and choose save as MP3. This will convert any of your non MP3 recordings to MP3 manually. Finally anything you add via Replay Guide will show up in the Schedule tab list view area. Any of your recordings will show up in your My Recordings list view. You can use up and down arrow keys and first letter navigation within this list view to find your content. To edit a station that is already in your Schedule list view you would first find the station the Schedule list view and press your enter keyboard key on it. This will bring up your station’s scheduler window where you can edit the time and date fields and monday through Friday checkboxes and no conversion settings buttton with spacebar. Keyboard Shortcuts a.. Ctrl+r: Start an audio recording b.. Ctrl+x: Stop an audio recording c.. Ctrl+n: Create a new, empty schedule item d.. Ctrl+c: Copy currently selected schedule as a new schedule e.. Ctrl+e: Open currently selected schedule item for editing f.. Delete: Delete the currently selected item g.. Ctrl+g: Start the currently selected schedule item and record for given duration h.. Ctrl+t: Tune to the station on the currently selected schedule item. The Tune tab details must be filled in. i.. Hi folks Thanks to Peter and Petro especially for turning me onto Replay Radio. I had been using some of the Replay programs a few years ago, but hadn't for some time. It looks like Replay radio has replaced Replay AV, which was a program I used a lot. The program does exactly what I want it to do, although, I can't seem to get the url finder to work. I installed it but when I press the start monitoring for URL's button nothing seems to happen. I saw a reference to something called Network Monitor in there, but not sure how to go about installing that. There's a choice that says use the installed drivers recommended. Is it ok to select that option when installing it? I just want to be careful, and do the right thing. Thanks guys! If anyone has any other tips i'd love to have them. So far this program is amazing! Chris G. your website with stations
Chris G. The website you provided the other day does provide an RSS feed that you can subscribe to and download the stations formats changes like Chicago. I was able to find the lat 10 MP3s from the changes stations formats website. The Chicago formats changes RSS feed URL is; http://formatchange.com/category/chicago/feed/ The above is the chicago feed you can subscribe to. Replay Radio is a podcatcher and allows one to subscribed to feeds that have media content like MP3s. Below is the Previous Format: Not On Air (Stunting With Christmas Music) New Format: Smooth Jazz “The Groove 103.9” Date Time Of Change: December 26, 2014 at 12:00am More Info: RadioInsight Aircheck Contributed by Jeremy Andrews And below is the download for the above air check, 797.mp3 Not sure if it can be downloaded this way but try. Finally, the below RSS feed is for all format changes for stations, http://formatchange.com/feed/ You can add this to Replay Radio too. You can tell RR to go back in time and download all the files for you. You would choose add show manually button within RR (replay radio) and paste in the RSS feed URLs shown above into the RR9 scheduler. Also you will need to change a setting to RSS / Podcast instead of Direct Download.

Here's what's happening. There's a specific website that allows you to listen to audio content, but it doesn't offer links to download said content. I'm pretty sure there has to be a way to do it though. it uses an html 5 player, which most screenreaders can recognize, so listening to the audio is no problem. It offers podcast feeds, but it only offers the last 10 or so items posted, and I'd like to get a lot more of it. At one time it did allow downloads but has since stopped for whatever reason. What program is this or what website as I did not hear you mention it? -Original Message- From: Colin Howard Sent: Monday, June 15, 2015 9:56 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Any suggestions please? - a work-around. Greetings, By no means perfect, but via the good offices of a reply, have found a work-around. One person replied advising they, on their two W7 machines, had the same problem in on one, the site showed with listen links as mine, the othere, it didn't as mine. They were using I.E 11 I believe, on one Jaws 15 and the other Jaws 16 but I do not know which Jaws related to listen and non-listen links. There was a reply suggesting in the media-player part of the site, is a play button which, if I used, would start the program. On further investigation I found this not to be exactly true, in the media area, no play button but open embedded document when I entered, gave me open parent document and the program name which, when I highlighted and pressed enter, loaded and started playing. When entering on the open parent document button, I returned to the program page, the audio continued to play, I cannot find the controls to jump through the program yes, there is pause which when entered upon reverts to play when entered upon reverts to pause, yes, I can see the program time counting up and the total length, but no volume or jump controls.

NVDA, RMC6 and list view situations

JAWS does not have this behavior. Solutions are to use, alt+i which is the import keyboard shortcut to import two not so important files into the list view contents area. After you have done your very first capture you will notice three new buttons immediately after the list view control and they are, Properties Play Show in Folder Choose the show in folder button with spacebar and this will open your Windows Explorer / Files Explorer default storage location. This is your hard drive location where your files are stored currently. This was set by the Applian developer. So make sure you have two or more files in the RMC6 list view. If you do not then you'll have to use the show in folder steps above or NVDA object navigation insert+numpad1 then insert+numpad6. NVDA calls this list view as (List) without the parentheses once you have landed on it via tabbing around. When you have two or more files in the rMC6 list view you can use first letter navigation and your up or down arrow keys. Have focus on a file that is in the list view. Verify with insert+numpad5. Doing a right click or shift+F10 or context menu on the file we currently have focus on and wanting to make changes to this file or other files is not possible unless you do the steps shown below or uses the valuable keyboard hotkeys like, ctrl+m which will convert your non MP3 file to MP3. Say in the very first capture you make the file in the list view is MP4 or FLv and you want it to be in MP3. Place focus on this non MP3 file and press ctrl+m and you will get your file in MP3 format. Also, you can use ctrl+c which will use your global conversion setting you have set. This global setting is not limited to the MP3 format. If you want all your captures to be globally converted to MP3 while capturing then read my text tutorial about the No Conversion Settings control button which shows you how to set it to MP3 and at a specific bit rate. Now to using the context menu keyboard key while you have focus on a file in the RMC6 list view to view the context menu list of available options. Tip is to use the keyboard shortcuts shown below instead for fatger results. NVDA does not show the context menu list correctly currently so do the step shown below, The List View Information This only applies when only one file is in the list view. Tab until you hear NVDA says list. You have focus on the list view (files list view). NVDA will not tell you the name of this file but you will notice a properties, play and show in folder button. To find the hidden file do, insert+numpad 7 then again insert+numpad 7 for no review Press insert+numpad1 for object navigation, Press insert+numpad6 You will hear NVDA say graphics. This is most likely the icon image for the file in your list view. Press insert+numpad6 again and you will hear the file name. Press insert+numpad / Press context menu key, or shift+F10. This is your list view / files list view of your captured media or recordings. Read the user guide if you have Windows 8.1.
NVDA users of Replay Media Catcher 6 Configuring the No Conversion Settings button control
Note: JAWS 16 handles this No Conversion Settings control button as submenus and functions correctly but NVDA users can do the following to use this control shown below. I posted this at my blog also, http://blindreplay.blogspot.com Replay Media Catcher 6.0.0.75 NvDA 2015.1 Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Configuring the No Conversion Settings control button found on the main interface of Replay Media Catcher 6.0.0.75 using NVDA 2015.1 The steps below are to set the MP3 format to the MP3 Default bit rate thus telling Replay Media Catcher 6 to automatically convert all captures / recordings to the MP3 whether the original file was an MP3 or any other format like MP4 / FLV. You will have the original format and the MP3 file since we are going to tell Replay Media Catcher 6 via this No Conversion Settings control button to globally convert all captures to MP3. Run Replay Media Catcher 6.0.0.75 which I will call RMC6. Maximize RMC6. Locate the No Conversion Settings button with your tab keyboard key. Press spacebar on the No Conversion Settings button. You should hear NVDA say Menu. If you do not hear Menu please press your escape key two times to get out and redo the steps above until you hear NVDA say MENU. Now that we heard NVDA say Menu we would do the following, Insert+ numpad / NVDA will say Menu insert+numpad * (which is move navigator object to mouse) Use your insert+numpad 4 to go up the list Use insert+numpad6 to go down the list You are reviewing the list. The list should say from top to bottom, Manufacturers (This is the Formats submenu) I do not know why this is but the first Manufacturers you hear in this list is actually the Formats submenu. JAWS does the same. Continuing with this list you have, Manufacturers (2nd one in the list) Output Folder Don't Convert Configure The above is what should appear for you in the list. Locate the first Manufacturers in the list by using insert+numpad4 until you have focus on it. Now do, Insert+ numpad / NVDA will say Menu insert+numpad * (which is move navigator object to mouse) You have opened the formats submenu, Press insert+numpad2 You will hear 3gp If you do not hear 3gp and hears amazon then you were in the wrong submenu and in the 2nd Manufacturers submenu and were not focus on the 1st Manufacturers (Formats) submenu. We hear 3GP. Press insert+numpad6 to navigate down the list of Formats options. You will hear asf avi as you press insert+numpad6 each time and if you keep pressing insert+numpad6 you will hear MP3 is spoken by NVDA. We now have focus on the MP3 submenu. Now do, Insert+ numpad / NVDA will say Menu insert+numpad * (which is move navigator object to mouse) Now do, insert+numpad2 to go inside the MP3 bit rates list. Use insert+numpad6 repeatedly to hear all the available MP3 bit rates. That is press insert+numpad6 to hear one bit rate then press insert+numpad6 to go down to the next bit rate and so on. You can use insert+numpad4 to go up the list of available MP3 bit rates. We are looking for the MP3 Default bit rate from the list so locate it. To select the Mp3 Default bit rate press, insert+numpad / then numpad / NVDA will say left click. Now shift+tab and tab on the main interface of RMC6 or tab around and you will hear NVDA announced Mp3 Default instead of the usual No Conversion Settings button we had originally. You will hear convert to: MP3 Default We have told RMC6 to globally convert all captures to MP3 Default bit rate. You will still recieve the original file format too. Attention Say you want it back to No Conversion Settings You would do the following, Find the MP3 Default button on main user interface. It used to read as No Conversion Settings button. Press spacebar. You should hear NVDA say Menu. If not, start over. Press escape two times and focus again on the MP3 Default button. Do the steps again. Now that it says Menu do, insert+numpad / NVDA will say Menu again. insert+numpad * (which is move navigator object to mouse) You will hear the list. Use insert+numpad 4 or insert+numpad 6 until you hear, Don't Convert Focus is on the Don't convert option so do, insert+numpad / then numpad / The button now reads as No Conversion Settings. The factory default. Your files will not get globally converted You will get the original source file stream type only when you capture.
Replay Radio How to tip
Do you know with Replay Radio you can tell it to place a recording in a specific folder? Say you have a radio show that you record every week and you want that radio show to go in a specific folder and not to be mixed with your other recordings? You can do it as I have been doing this for awhile. This is with JAWS. I have not checked it with NVDA nor Window-Eyes 9.1. Replay Radio allows one to record shows and stations plus is a podcatcher. It’s not free.

Applian's Replay Media Capture Suite http://applian.com The Replay Capture Suite promo code is Blind Forum Suite The above code is case sensitive. $20 off the regular price of the suite package. Re: Replay music 7 for nancy
Will Goldwave tag the songs with artist name and album details and split the songs into individual tracks automatically? Replay Music 7 will do this and is very simple to use. They do a have a Replay Capture Suite available that will give the user all the applications. Bundle of applications for a better value. I have the promo code if anyone is interested. JAWS and NVDA users can use Replay Radio, Replay Music 7, Replay Media Catcher 6 to name a few. Replay Telecorder to record Skype calls or to use as a podcast type show and even Video Padlock which will hide your files on your hard drive with a master password. Video Padlock will do any file type and not just video files encryption. So the bundled Replay Capture Suite is the best value if the user is looking for savings and needs these applications. Go to the website http://applian.com If you have a question about a particular Applian application if it can be used let me know. At the moment Replay Video Catcher and splitter applications will not work. Wait for AT Prime from vict.consultancy.com to make these accessible. I have big hopes for AT Prime. -Original Message- From: Joe Paton Sent: Saturday, June 06, 2015 9:01 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Replay music 7 for nancy Hi,Hello Nancy, without the discount, replay music 7 is 49 UK pounds, about 55 dollars. Replay Capture Suite
Last thing as one of you brought up the pricing. The Replay Capture Suite has 7 applications in it. Origianal price is $79 but with the blind promo code its –$20 for a price of $59. That works out to $8.45 per application. Note that Replay Video Capture and Splitter apps are not accessible last time I checked them. So $59 / 5 apps is $12 per application if you decide to use them all. I will no longer talk about pricing. I do not profit from these codes.

Replay Radio / Replay Music 7 Using demo info
I have tested with NVDA and JAWS 16 Replay Radio and Replay Music 7. Using Windows 7 Pro. Read the user guide. If you have Windows 8 read the user guide. Re: putting records on hard drive
Nancy You will first need to know what kind of cable to use to connect from your record player to your computer's input. What kind of record player do you have? one that plugs into the AC power or USB type. Windows Vista is ok to use. Most records do have silence between tracks and that is the key. This application will also record music streams online via the web as long as there is silence between the songs played. I have blind discount code you can use if you like the product. You can download this application without paying for it just to see how it looks. You can record in WAV / MP3 format to name a few. As for removing sctraches and the like I do not see this option but if you want to have your music digitized and split and tagged this application will do it. I have no way of knowing the success rate when it attempts to tag your music with artists and album name but a user told me it did for him very well the tagging. You must be connected to the internet for the tagging to work. Before you buy this application try it for free first and check the sound quality of the recordings. If you like it buy it with the blind discount code. It works using JAWS and NVDA. The application is Replay Music 7 from http://applian.com If you need the direct download link let me know. Also read the user guide there. I have done audio tutorials on this application. I can assist over the phone when you are ready. -Original Message- From: Nancy Shackelford Sent: Friday, June 05, 2015 10:16 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: putting records on hard drive I have many records I need to get out and digitize; I'm soon going to JAWS 16 and hopefully Windows 7; will this product work with this, and where can I get the product when I get ready to record? Re: Replay Radio time zones
Hi Peter It depends. If you added the scheduled entry yourself manually using a stream URL you found and copied to your clipboard and used the add show button within RR9 and if you know the start time for your station or show then you can do as you wish with the local time and UTC. The start recording time and UTC should be the same for your time zone. For example, if I add a radio station or show manually myself and I know the start time is for Eastern time zone USA and Canada which is -5 hours and I know its starts at 7:00 PM EST / 1900 hours I would put 7:00 PM for the start recording time and check to be sure the UTC combo box reflects my time zone which is -5 hours USA and Canada. So to recap here your show or station starts at 7:00 PM you would put 7:00 PM and put the TZ time zone to your local time zone also. If you add a show or station from the replay guide use those default settings except when you know the TZ time zone is incorrect. Say I add this station from California that is in the Pacific time zone which is -8 hours and I see the UTC within the scheduler saids -5 hours then I will correct it myself. -Original Message- From: Peter Scanlon Sent: Saturday, May 23, 2015 5:17 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Replay Radio time zones Hi, Wen setting up a recording, should you always set the time zone field to the time you are in, or the time zone in which the program originates? Yeah, the fact that the subject line is video recording doesn't make it as obvious as you'd wish. In any case. I too was saddened. Not only cause of DVR, but because it was accessible TV over all. All though there are going to be TVs with accessibility on them. Another cool thing about Media Center was that it was an accessible DVD player. They got rid of it because not enough people used it apparently. Well if they had promoted it more and made it more obvious to find. Leo Laporte read something where it said most people that even found it found it by axident. Pluss and I know some will jump on the wagon and say people are lazy with this, but it was too damb hard to set up. The reason I bring up this is because it wasn't simply screw in the cable to the TV tuner and boom you're live. No, you have to set up the signel, choose the channels, tell it that well in my case Comcast is the provider and all that. Easy enough for a home theater geeks, but your average person? Ask average Joe what Clear Cam is, or ATSC. They don't know this. Even though MS had hard to find pages on it, it still might go over people's heads. So yeah, that's why. I wish too they had updated it. Think about it. If they did get the licence for Blu-ray it would be an accessable Blue-ray player. Power DVD aint. One must just suck up to it because it's the most common one. Yeah there are apparently others, but they aren't too well known. Oh yeah the Video thing doesn't make it so obvious because when I hear video for instance, I think your own vids. Connecting a Web cam to your pc and making a youtube Vid and stuff. So what does one do for video recording on a Windows computer. There’s only one option I know of and that’s XBMC however the last time I tired this with Windows 7 I couldn’t access it in any way shape or form, there might be ways to set it up so it can be controlled or accessed from the XBMC Controller Smart Phone Apps and that’s something I’m investigating. So - assuming all is lost for Windows - what now? It looks as though its time to place some faith in the FetchTV Set Top Box. The Smart Phone Apps are very accessible to the point where you can schedule programmes to be recorded from the TV guide. So what’s all this got to do with the Windows PC? At one time I had a Slingbox and recording software from Applian.com that allowed me to schedule and record my DirecTV signal. I was hoping someone would ask. I have asked Sunshine to test. If there are others who want to test let me know. I have the pre-release version of Replay Media Catcher 6.0.0.72 available. Write me offlist. You should listen to the tutorials first to get an idea like the main interface and compare it with Window Eyes 9.1 on how it looks. Let’s Talk About Replay Media Catcher and HTTPS
For Roger C. and others. Let’s Talk About Replay Media Catcher and HTTPS Yesterday, May 16, 2014, 2:05:10 PM | debbie Keeping up with the constant changes in streaming protocols is just the job for Replay Media Catcher‘s Engineers. They like a challenge and frequently whip up very smart solutions to very tough problems. If you’ve installed the most recent version of Replay Media Catcher, you’ll see that we’ve made some great improvements. And if you like to download streams from YouTube, then you’ve likely seen the new prompt to install a CA certificate. So what’s that all about? Have no fear! We’re here to break it down for you. Let’s get nerdy, shall we? YouTube and some other sites now stream their media over an HTTPS connection by default. So what is HTTPS? Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure is the secure version of http. Typically used when a secure connection is necessary. Like for ecommerce transactions and such. When you connect to a website that is using HTTPS, the session is encrypted with a Digital Certificate. Let’s first look at how Replay Media Catcher downloads, then we’ll explain how installing the CA Certificate helps it to do it’s job better. When you switch on Replay Media Catcher, it starts sniffing the network traffic. Looking for media to download. As you come across streaming video or music, Replay Media Catcher decodes that network traffic and if it understands what it is seeing on the network, it tries to detect and download the media based on intelligence we’ve written for that protocol. Pretty slick, right? That’s how Replay Media Catcher can download so much more without browser plugins. It simply does not need them. It only listens to the network. Let’s say you’ve switched on Replay Media Catcher’s monitoring and you’re happily browsing along and decide to download the latest viral video on YouTube. Remember we said that YouTube is now streaming their media over an HTTPS connection.. SSL is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. When you see HTTPS in the URL, you are using the SSL/TLS protocol to speak to that website. Replay Media Catcher will then not understand that traffic and disregard it. That sounds like bad news, right? Nope! Read on… If you’re running Replay Media Catcher version 5.0.1.46 or later, you’ll notice a new prompt when it first sees media from a site that is streaming over HTTPS. This prompt explains that in order for Replay Media Catcher to scan for media that is streamed over HTTPS, a CA certificate is required to be created. A CA (Certificate Authority) is an authority in a network that issues and manages security credentials. You can choose to allow HTTPS scanning or not. If you choose no, Replay Media Catcher will ignore any HTTPS streaming and you’ll be sad. That breaks my heart. Say YES! If you choose YES, (and we recommend you do) then Windows will prompt you to install the CA certificate. Windows presents you with this: The title of the window says “Security Warning”. Yeah, well…it’s not a problem. Windows is just letting you know that a certificate is about to be installed. Windows says that it cannot validate the certificate as actually being from Replay Media Catcher, but have no fear. We have created a certificate called Replay Media Catcher 5 SSL Scanner Root. Essentially, it allows Replay Media Catcher to scan HTTPS traffic like that being served by YouTube for downloadable media. It is absolutely safe. And you are not putting yourself or your computer in any danger by installing it. Don’t miss out on all the great streaming goodness that Replay Media Catcher can download. It’s waaay smarter than any other streaming media downloader. Guaranteed! Don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions! RSS feed address is, http://applian.com/blog/feed/

Replay Radio 9.0.1.46 Recording from External Source
This feature was added in an earlier version with Replay Radio 9 and I tested today. Was able to schedule a recording with a start time to record from an external source like from a radio unit's headphone output jack connection to a USB sound card's mic input jack. Scheduler was set to capture from record audio (device) and Device was set USB Sound Device. I used a 1/8 inch cable to connect the radio's output to the mic input of the USB sound card. I have JAWS set to use my laptop's internal sound card while in Windows OS I have the default sound card set to the USB sound card. This allows me to use my screen reader without being interrupted. Possibly if I used amplification I would have heard the sound output from the radio but with no amplification I could not monitor the sound from the radio during recording with Replay Radio 9. Works great for me.

Add to Windows Media Player List 2. Play 3. Scan with Microsoft Security Essentials Dialog 4. Open with Pull-down 5. Scan with Malware bytes Anti-malware 6. Shared folder cyncronization 7. Send to pull-down 8. New pull-down 9. Create shortcut 10. Delete 11. Rename 12. Properties 13. Close These were all I saw within this menu. There was still no Enqueue and play option. I don't understand why this isn't working. I found a blog post that someone who had this same problem. The only difference was that they didn't have ths issue until they switched from Windows XP to Windows 7. They said that when they used this option with XP, it worked fine. I have XP, so I'm not sure why things aren't working for me. I've pasted the blog posting below so that you can see what I'm referring to. I'm just an average computer user, so I don't really mess around with my operating system's settings. The reason I'm trying to get Winamp to place a track directly below an already existing one, is because I'm in the process of trying to get a dj position with ACB Radio, and they use Winamp for broadcasting. Being able to insert tracks erlier in the playlist rather than at the bottom of it, is ecential, especially if people email me with requests. This way, I'll be able to play what they ask for in a more reasonable time frame without them having to wait through multiple songs. It seems like it should be a simple thing to figure out, but then you know how technology is (smile) Hope the blog post will make at least a little sense. Then I moved on to Windows 7 and the enqueue in winamp option disappeared from the context menu even I had setup winamp correctly for it. After doing some digging, I narrowed down all the possible causes for this behavior to one program and one simple solution to bring the Enqueue in Winamp back to the context menu. And that one program which is messing the enqueue in winamp in the context menu is Windows Media Player. It seems that somehow it uses brute force to take over all enqueue options for audio files to itself. (Or the context menu simply has hardcoded limit how many options it can show in the first section) But whatever the case is the solution is here. BEHOLD THE SIMPLE SOLUTION: 1. At first you want to make sure your winamp

Kevin Yes it is. In your case you got the WMV file as this is what your station is using and the converted file into MP3 which you either manually converted or set via the station's station 'No Conversion Settings'. - Original Message - From: Kevin Cussick To: PC Audio Discussion List Sent: Sunday, December 29, 2013 9:39 AM Subject: Re: replay radio9 and recordings not working. If you see 1440 for the minutes please first delete the number 1440 with your backspace key or delete key. Re-read each setting with insert+tab key with JAWS or NVDA. To tell Replay Radio 9 to automatically convert the recording to another format you look for the 'No Conversion Setting' within the schedule. There you can tell your WMV's to be converted to MP3 and at a certain bit rate. Will tell you how to do it via Skype. You can also manually convert each recording if needed by going to Replay Radio's My Recordings list view and find the recording first and then press your applications key or shift+f10 and choose the save to mp3 option with your enter key. Replay Radio 9 and Windows 8 users. Replay Radio 9 will work and be unaffected if you plan to record 'direct download' type recordings. Direct Download is the same as stream capture in Replay AV 8. These are stations or shows that you can record silently in the background. Again, you are not affected here. Replay Radio works for direct download / stream capture type recordings. This is the best method to do your recordings. If you have Windows 8 and wants to record 'record audio' type streams then you are affected. Read the user guide about Windows 8 secure boot. Re: replay radio9 and recordings not working.
Replay Radio 9 uses terms as Direct Download and Record Audio. When you add a station or show from the media guide via the add+ link you are shown a schedule dialog with the best presets for your station or show for the best possible recording method. If you tab a few times you will hear the capture: combo box / drop down. In this capture: control you will hear either Direct Download or Record Audio. If they are 'Direct Download' in the Capture: control then Replay Radio 9 is not affected. You can record your entry using Windows 8. Replay Radio 9 works with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 too. Re: replay radio9 and recordings not working.
RSS is for archived / on demand audio. Not live stream. Your two stations were not podcasts but actually live streams so do not use RSS as an option. When you add via the media guide do not change the settings provided except the start recording time and date plus the minutes. Re: replay radio9 and recordings not working.
What I would do if I were you is delete your two stations from the Schedule lit view first. Go to the media guide and find your two stations again. When you click the +add link the schedule dialog will appear. You can change the name, start recording time, date and duration in minutes. You will see the converted .mp3 file in the My Recordings list view. You can play the file by pressing your enter key on the entry in the my recordings list view or tab over to the play button within Replay Radio 9's main user interface. - Original Message - From: Kevin Cussick To: PC Audio Discussion List Sent: Saturday, December 28, 2013 6:40 PM Subject: Re: replay radio9 and recordings not working. Re: replay radio9 and recordings not working.
Your screen reader's speech output will not get captured / recorded. When your station(s) is using 'direct download' it is being silently recorded in the background and allows you to do other things with the computer like email, web surfing and much more. Also you can record multiple stations at the same time silently if they are direct download. Say you want to record station 1 and station 2 at the same time at 2 PM or 1400 hours you can do it if they are using direct download. Try it. - Original Message - From: Kevin Cussick To: PC Audio Discussion List Sent: Saturday, December 28, 2013 7:04 PM Subject: Re: replay radio9 and recordings not working. Replay Radio will activate itself on its own and record. It does not have to be running. The start recording time and date settings has been improved since my testing. Very easy to configure now so disregard my notes on setting the start time and date below. Pay attention on how to use the tab sheets. Replay Radio Text Tutorial Replay Radio 9 Installation No installation issues experienced. Default storage folder is C:\Users\your-computer-name\Documents\Applian\Replay Radio Only If You Are A Dropbox User When you run Replay Radio 9 you will get a pop up window asking you if you want to use your Dropbox folder as your storage folder with options yes or no and a checkbox. Replay Radio 9 Settings Choose alt-t for the tools menu. For Replay Media Catcher 5 Settings Press enter on Library tab on main interface. Press alt-l for the Library menu then proceed with the steps below for either program to do Choose settings Library tab sheet properties is the default Press spacebar key to check mark the checkbox that reads Choose Player based on Windows File association This will preserve your audio / video files playback with whatever default media player(s) you are using. If the above checkbox is not checked then you will be asked if you want to use the Applian FLV Media Player which plays many file types. It is a clone of VLC Media Player but has no buttons interface When you attempt to play a file within either replay Radio 9 or Replay Media Catcher 5 you will be asked if you want to use / download the Applian FLV Media Player with yes or no. If you know the file type is supported on your system then choose no So don't download this There is another checkbox in the library settings called 'Enable Sound Effects' This should have a check mark. If not press space bar key. This enables you to hear a start sound when the programs have begun to capture and a stop sound is heard when a capture has finished. If for some reason you don't like your settings or can't remember what you have changed simply click the 'Defaults' button to reset your settings back to the defaults. Choose OK Replay Radio 9 Replay Media Catcher 5 use the same engines so many parts are exactly the same so once you have used one of the programs the other is easier to use and understood. The user interfaces are different though. Quite a long time ago, I do recall that you had asked , maybe on this list, about whether or not anyone had used that Audials program. Take a look at Replay media Catcher 5 by applian.com if the other program doesn't meet your needs. Again read my text notes because you may think it is inaccessible but it is not except for the built-in Guide which isn't required to use RMC5. (Consumer Electronic Show) in Las Vegas January 8th. The radio has a form factor nearly identical to that of the Narrator. The features are also similar with some enhancements. The radio will be manufactured and sold by Audio Vox. For the general public, the radio will sell for $149, however, those with vision impairments will be allowed to use a special coupon code which will reduce the price to $99. The radio will be initially available from the Audio Vox web site http://www.audiovox.com. I'm sure Sun Sounds will be selling them also. The radio is a stereo AM/ FM HD radio with tactile buttons, a large print display, snooze / alarm / clock, presets, scan up and down, manual tuning, Auxiliary input, headphone jack. The radio announces the buttons pushed, as well as the results of a button push. For instance, it announces the name and frequency of stations as you tune. Or, it announces when you switch from FM to AM to Auxiliary.
Re: Search for recording solution
Replay Music 6 was released about 3 weeks ago. http://www.applian.com Have not tested with a microphone here. There is a blind discount code to save off the purchase price until the end of the year. Yes it works with Windows Vista. You can try the demo version before you decide to buy. - Original Message - From: Aidan To: PC Audio Discussion List Sent: Wednesday, December 18, 2013 2:44 AM Subject: Re: Search for recording solution As far as i no, there are all the options you need under sounds in the control panel. If your soundcart support sterio mix, or loopback or something simular, you should be able to manage. Hope this helps. I'm talking from experience of here in Windows7 with the RealTech High Definition Audio soundcard that comes default in Windows7. Does Windows Vista have this? Any if you have this card, look for an option that says Playback; this Playback records both Jaws and my voice. Is this what you're looking for? Until the Xp computer gave up the ghost, I had made several recordings in which I recorded from the mic, audio in line, and the screen reader at the same time. I'm temporarily using my wife's old Windows Vista laptop until I can get a Windows 7 desktop computer and have found that this is no longer possible, or at least not as i was used to doing it in XP. What would be the solution for regaining the ability to record from the mic, audio line in, and record the screen reader at the same time if I wished to? I would prefer to use Goldwave for recording as I'm used to it. I've considered that it may take the purchase of either an external sound card or a mixer of some sort. If so, are there any recommendations? My recordings aren't professional by any means, so it doesn't have to be expensive, whatever the solution is. Thanks in advance and happy holidays everyone! Copy all your files except for the annoying file to another location like your hard drive in a special folder. Find your pen drive whatever way you do it but do not open the pen drive but instead press your applications keyboard key or shift+f10. Choose format. Make sure you are formatting the pen drive and not another hard drive. read your screen carfully. It is simple to do.
