Re: Seeking easy normalization program
Hello, There is a program I've heard of called Levelator. I know it's for Mac but don't know about Windows. I also don't know about price. Hopefully somebody else can shed some light as I have only heard about it in passing. Sent from my iPhone > On Sep 10, 2017, at 4:48 PM, Norma A. Re: goldwave and normalization of files
Greetings, The function you need to use is the maximize volume, within which use the full dynamic range preset, read the settings and decide if this will suit, as it will find the maximum level on each chanel, displaying the time at which it occurs and, of course, this may not be the same on each stereo chanel. goldwave and normalization of files
Can anyone tell me how to normalize files in goldwave? I found something about volume but didn't see normalize volume as a choice. Gery D. Gain versus Normalization of MP3's
What is the difference between the effect of running MP3 files through the program MP3 Gain or normalizing them with MP3 Direct Cut? My impression is that the normalized files all sound about the same volume, while the MP3 gain processed files have clearly different volumes. What are the relative merits of each process, assuming they are indeed different? -- Rich De Steno To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

Is this possible? If so, are there any free software that can do this? I tried mp3 direct cut, but it gave me different db levels for each file every time I normalize it. The program you want is called mp3gain. It is wonderfully accessible; however, you will need to google it as I do not know where I found it.
