RE: program for cataloging CDs

2004-06-04 Thread Ronald Colombo
Hi,
I have just installed the ADC trial and my first impression is that it
is very Jaws accessible. Apart from a few funnies, it is remarkably like
handling Windows Explorer. I, for one, am going to buy it.

Ciao,

Ron.

I am looking for a user friendly program to catalog my CDs. What I
want
is something where I put the disks in, hit return or something and it
makes a file of what is on the CD. I would then like that to be
printed
out as a TXT file or something else. Any suggestions? Kurt

If you're looking for a low tech, free solution to list all tracks on your
CD's, you could use CDEX.

There's an option in the edit menu to copy CD information to the clipboard.
You can then open a blank document and paste in the details. You can then
save as a word document, text document or HTML web page.

RE: program for cataloging CDs

2004-06-01 Thread rinty
Kurt, haven't found what you're looking for, but you might be able to
do it using Nero. When you copy a CD it asks you whether or not you
want to create or print a label for the disk. I'm not sure, but I
think that information includes a track list. There's certainly an
option to save that to a file. Whether you can access that facility
without having to copy the CD I don't know.
