OT Mad Max Fury Road in Black and White
It looks like George Miller is going to release Mad Max Fury Road in Black and White. This link has a clip of a black and white trailer http://www.esquire.com/entertainment/a46375/mad-max-fury-road-finally-getting-that-black-and-white-version/ It should make for a very visually interesting flick. I was amused when I heard a report on NPR from Cannes, and the film that was the big hit last year was Fury Road. -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com (postbox on min4est) http://red4est.com/lrc -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

I did some research & can see why - Germanic origins. Afrikaans is mostly from Dutch with a fair bit of German and French & a smattering of others. Flemish is very close to Afrikaans. A special bureau was set in the apartheid years to concoct (lacking) technical words but mostly they didn't catch on, the English being preferred. My maternal grandfather was Swedish but, sadly, I never got into that.
