I have some sunset photos from there but they're not immediately handy. I
wasn't up early enough the following morning to get the sunrise but the local
kea population certainly was. Quite an effective alarm clock.

Yeah. Me to. Unfortunately, the life that's been happening here hasn't

Re: PESO 2018 - 013 - GDG

2018-02-05 Thread Godfrey DiGiorgi
Thanks Rick!

With the Light L16, in manual mode, you select ISO and exposure time. In the
rendering phase post-capture, aperture defaults to f/15 (the minimum) although
the camera is actually making the exposure with all cameras' lenses wide open
(nominally f/2). So you can adjust the aperture and modify the focus zone in
the post-capture rendering process.

It's very tricky! :-)

There have been times that I haven't been able to see the clouds that

Thanks Paul. The color of the water was amazing. What I found
fascinating is how much the color varied depending on the angle of the
sun. Or just a little cloudiness and the color would change from
aquamarine to dark blue in an instant. I had a couple of pics only a
minute or so apart and the water color would be different like that.

I think its our favorite place too. As soon as we landed back home, I
was already searching for low cost flights to get back there perhaps
at the end of the year again.

Re: PESO, GESO New Zealand pics

2018-02-05 Thread ann sanfedele
I'm loving these - now - but when I first clicked on one you selected
Flicker was messing with me..
I didn't see any scenics,  only the ice abstracts ... which didn't
really give you a sense of place :-)

Now  - when I look at the album, it says there are 189 photos , many of
which are wonderfully stunning

views and some fun stoff, but the ice photos have disappeared.

I also have to reduce the photo sizes by 20 to 30 % to see them.

I really hate flicker..

This one is pretty close to my hand-holdable limit and isn't super sharp, but I

Thanks David. I can tell its quite wet there, that with all the
waterfalls everywhere you look and the lush vegetation. I would love
to be in Milford Sound during the golden hour at sunset or perhaps
better at sunrise. The pics I got were ok, but the light was quite
harsh.
