Re: PESO - Which Way?

2020-09-03 Thread Daniel J. Matyola
Years ago, I was driving through VT and stopped for gas and liquid
refreshment before crossing the Connecticut into NH. The stop was a.t an
internet, and the road had changed since my last trip there. A sign on the
road off to the right said "Hanover," and did a sign on the road straight
ahead. Since the intersection had changed since my last trip, I asked the
store owner if it made any difference which road I took. "Not to me it
don't," came the reply.

Re: sensor cleaning question

2020-09-03 Thread Rick Womer
I have a blower bulb, which works well for most things.

Not long after I got my istD, some grunge appeared that couldn’t be blown off.
I ordered a packet of lollipops. I wasn’t favorably impressed.

So I ordered some Sensor Swabs from B, which came with a small vial of
cleaning fluid (one puts a drop of the fluid on the swab, not directly on the
sensor). They worked very well. I still have one swab left from that original
package of five, and a few drops of the fluid.

Looking at B, they now come in a wide variety of sizes and types. Things keep
getting more complicated in life.

Cheers,

Rick

Acadia, Bryce Canyon, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, King's Canyon,
Sequoia, Yosemite, Zion.
(It certainly helps living in California; all but one of those we've

I've been to Yosemite more than once.  Larry and I took a quick trip

the spring snowmelt.

My bucket list includes Joshua Tree and the parks in Oregon and

I suppose I should visit my closest one, too - Pinnacles - it's

I've been to Yosemite more than once.  Larry and I took a quick trip out there

My bucket list includes Joshua Tree and the parks in Oregon and Washington

I suppose I should visit my closest one, too - Pinnacles - it's visible from

Re: sensor cleaning question

Thanks Larry. Yes, the lollipop (I didn't know this knickname).
There are a spot of about 3 mm and a lot of small specks on the sensor.
I got an airbulb but that won't help.

Do you mean the lollipop?

Does anybody use this for K-1 which has no low-pass filter, or is that of no
concern in sensor cleaning?

I have used it on various occasions.

In the past I used to go to the shop to have my sensor cleaned. However, the
Pentax kit looks rather easy and safe to use.

I mostly use a cheap airbulb, but sometimes there’s something it won’t work on.

My "bucket list" includes all of them, but I don't expect I'll actually get a
full bucket.

I'm ashamed to tell you I have optical fiber with at least 500Mb/s up and

Not to mention astonishingly quaint. I really can't remember the last time I
saw an ISP plan (excluding phone ones) that included a data cap but it was
definitely well into the last century.
