Well, FWIW, I'm using the K20D as my primary tool, with the K10D as 
backup (and the *ist-D as backup backup).


If my finances cooperate, I expect to upgrade when the K3 (or whatever 
it will be called) comes along. Although, I do intend to wait until the 
inevitable problems have cropped up and been resolved before making my 
purchase.

With K10D being a backup for K-7 before I got K-5, I should offer a 
supportive suggestion here, Christine. Despite being most familiar with 
K10D, each time I had to switch between these two cameras, there was a 
short period of awkwardness. Assuming that you have 2 DSLRs to sell, it 
could be a financially sensible step too.

I wouldn't under estimate the K20D.   That's a very good camera.  It does do 
some wacky metering at times (less so than the K10D), but it certainly 
renders some very nice images. All pdmlers who've owned that camera have 
posted lovely photos from the K20D. In some ways I think its image quality 
is better than the K-7.  I prefer the way the K20D renders black tones over

bloody depressing.  I keep looking at the *ist DS and K200D and

But the K-5 is a marvel, especially in low light.

With my  50-135mm the auto focus is quite acceptable for action shooting.

I just sold my *ist DS leaving the K10D as a backup.
