Despite being most familiar with K10D, each time I had to switch between these two cameras, there was a short period of awkwardness. Assuming that you have 2 DSLRs to sell, it could be a financially sensible step too. I wouldn't under estimate the K20D. That's a very good camera. It does do some wacky metering at times (less so than the K10D), but it certainly renders some very nice images. All pdmlers who've owned that camera have posted lovely photos from the K20D. In some ways I think its image quality is better than the K-7. I prefer the way the K20D renders black tones over the K-7. Sorry Brian But the K-5 is a marvel, especially in low light. With my 50-135mm the auto focus is quite acceptable for action shooting. I just sold my *ist DS leaving the K10D as a backup.
