Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Rating Tracks with Trackstat
It's probably caused by this change, I'll take a look when I get some time: http://svn.slimdevices.com/slim?view=revisionrevision=28372 Ah, you are probably right. That change looks nasty - two different press-and-hold actions. I thought that it had been observed that new users are confused by normal press and press-and-hold actions. I find it very strange that we now have a third action, which users probably will not discover, when a context menu could have been added to provide the action. I guess other plugins that use numeric keys will also be broken. I probably need to change TrackStat so it also overrides the *.hold_release actions, at the moment I think it only overrides the *.hold actions. I guess that I can configure this via custom.map - will have a play. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

You should already be able to add a brand/series menu to your favorites by clicking the heart icon in web interface on the relavent menu. It's almost done, I believe functionality wise it will go into the last beta round this week and then I'll check whether I'll also add some of the enhancement requests from open tickets. Apart from that I try to get as close as possible to the official 7.4 release since I still even today see changes that break things in the current implementation on a weekly basis. It simply doesn't make sense to release anything for a server that still has that kind of a change rate, it would mean if I release it today it probably still won't work with a then-current 7.4 build once it reaches the App Store. It's been a while since I had issues that were fatal (like crashing the app) but having features unavailable hurts as well. My biggest concern right now is that if the 7.4 implementation stays as it is right now you will not be able to switch a player from SC to SN with iPeng, you'd have to do that on the player (https://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13826). I hope there will be a change that allows this, but this, for example, would have to be something to implement, at least as long as it's different from 7.3's solution. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

NEW VERSION!!! RC3 is now available from the link in the first post of this thread. Only a few changes, namely: - Fixed bug where an error was logged at startup (didn't affect operation though). - KEY_BACK is now usable. - NEC Protocol renamed to NECx. - New Protocol!! NEC:ddd:sss:ccc. Depending on device, sss may equal ddd (eg Samsung), or may be 255-ddd (eg Yamaha), or may be something completely different (eg Toshiba)! Very similar to the old NEC protocol (now called NECx) but has a different header pulse length and different repeat rate (makes a differemce to some devices, thanks Bluegaspode!). - Danish localisation now included (Thanks Pokersut!) NB: There are now two NEC protocols (NEC NECx). What was NEC in the last version (RC2) is now called NECx so if you've been using NEC you'll need to rename it in your squeezeIRData.txt file to NECx. The new one is called NEC. There is not much difference between them but some pieces of kit do seem to be a bit fussy; NEC has 9024/4512us header pulse/space, 132ms repeat. NECx has 4512/4512us header pulse/space, 108ms repeat. Bluegaspode - Please try NEC:122:133:... with your Yamaha amp and let me know if it works. Thanks in advance for your advice. Currently, I'm not trying to determine the wakeup reason. It would be trivial to write the scheduled wakeup time to srvrpowerctrl.prefs at suspend-time and then check that value on wakeup. If that value is within two minutes of the current time, SrvrPowerCtrl would decide that the wakeup was RTC induced...if not, then the wakeup was caused by an externality: WOL, power-button, springing forth from Zeus' head fully formed, etc. Looking through /var/log/messages, I don't see any way of determining the mac address of the network device that issued the magic packet that initiated the WOL of the system. I don't really know how you'd go about determining which device or client woke the system up via WOL. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeIR - A Generic Infra-Red Remote Control Applet for the Duet's SBC
Used the new applet, changed config to use NEC ... and ... it's working ! :) I now took some time to make the applet 7.4-compatible (while still supporting 7.3). Changes are done on your latest RC3 version. Some details so you can easier spot the changes: - strings.txt: added german. Please note that I called the Home-Menu 'Fernbedienung' which translates to 'Remote Control'. I don't like the plugin-title 'SqueezeIR' in the home-menu - this is too technical and just confuses my wife. Feel free to change it back it 'SqueezeIR'. - Introduced a new function 'findFile' as a replacement for any call to 'Framework:findFile' - the original method unfortunately moved from 'jive.ui.Framework' to 'jive.System' - so the new 'findFile'-method switches to use the correct one. Please also note the 'required'-section for 'jive.System'. As this file doesn't exist in 7.3 there is a version-check before including 'jive.System'. - Made the popup work under 7.4: Unfortunately the style-names changed, so this is also handled with a version-check at initialization time of the Popup-class. For layouting issues in 7.4 the class 'jive.ui.Group' is used to wrap the TextArea (one more 'require' needed). This doesn't influence the layout in 7.3 so no version-check there. I didn't have to change the event-codes :) - at least the ones I tested (VolUp, VolDown, Power) still work as usual. +---+ |Filename: SqueezeIR-patched7.4.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8084| +---+ -- bluegaspode One SB-Duet+Receiver. Thanks, that will prove useful for the development of SqueezeIR TNG :) -- indifference_engine indifference_engine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20698 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=66795 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
OK...manually installed the 5.8.8 plug-in on my Mac running 7.3.4. I get a compatibility error and it doesn't load. Hopefully you'll be able to get it fixed one of these days. We miss seeing the time and temp on the Squeezebox!
