I can't make plugin part of 7.9. Also making ffmpeg part of a a plugin or 7.9 would probably cause more problems and requires additional support which is not available as it is a big complex package which doesn't always function well on all platforms (e.g. leaving zombie processes). The better longer term solution would be to rewrite the PlayHLS plugin using the BBCiPlayer HLS implementation in Perl and then update RadioTime to support HLS in the same way it used to support RealAudio when AlienBBC was installed. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

the linn works so far with dev4 (jumping between tracks is fine since i use the dev4) only without gapless. wav are played but converted into FLAC. but that's not really a problem. also DSD (with the DSD plugin) works with converting into FLAC. tried also dev5 and set dual GET to 404, everything is fine so far. So for gapless playback on Linn i need a OpenHomeBridge (needs do be written by someone )? Hi Pinkdot, Really appreaciate you (previous) achievement building Synology packages for LMS 7.9.0 Kudos! some logfiles bevor using the repo. I managed to get the linn play again flac (supported codes must be set to flc,pcm,mp3) The next track is only played when gapless is set to no (but the linn supports gapless) but with a one-second gap. First of all thanks for the great effort. I have tested the plugin with only DASH selected from settings. LMS 7.8.1 - 1446451964. on Odroid U3 Max2Play. bbciplayer: Dash is working. Not as smooth as hls, but working. It needs sometimes a few clicks to play and skip forward is sometimes working, sometimes it stops. Most of the times first gentle skip forward is working, second or third is failing. bbciplayerextra: Dash is not working, I have tested a lot of links, none is working. I had to disable dash. What do you mean by skip forward - are you playing listen again ? If so what program and what timing ? How did you start the program through BBCiPlayer to Extra ? Some program available in Extra are not available in DASH format so in order for me to check you need to say what Format settings you are using and what programs you are trying to play. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I mean moving the time slider to another position. It's not working as hls or others. If I've understood the last part correct; this is only happening with listen again of bbciplayer. > Some program available in Extra are not available in DASH format so in > order for me to check you need to say what Format settings you are using > and what programs you are trying to play. I have tried a lot, but you can pick the streams under "Latest byStation/BBC radio jazz". Only DASH format is selected to test. mkkyah's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58652 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Cache db delete and reboot must have worked. mkkyah's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58652 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

mkkyah wrote: > thanks, I've seen that, too. > Do you have any idea about the issue with 320kbps streams? Can it be a > buffer problem? AFAICT You are outside the UK - so no 320kbs will be offered. If you want retest with the your VPN on do so with plugin.bbciplayer.dash logging set to INFO. Buffering is unlikely to be a problem with Listen Again - however http fetches may have BBC redirects interacting with your VPN and this may be causing long delays. To check if http fetches are a problem you may have to enable logging network.asynchttp as well but this generates a huge amount of messages. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I suspect your proxy may be causing problems as Latest by Station/ BBC jazz through Extra work OK for me. Can you enable logging plugin.bbciplayer.dash to DEBUG and test by playing a BBC Jazz stream. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Dash worked fine this afternoon, Radio 3 Listen Again 320kbps. It looks like in Extra plugin setting you have chosen to only find Flash URL but in BBCiPlayer plugin you have chosen to only play DASH. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

BBC have said HTML5/DASH has extra anti VPN measures - not sure if bluff or not.. The Clare Teal program plays OK for me outside the UK. Your log shows problem at BBC end - not wanting to reply to your request. Give example of a program that is not playing ? Did you clear the LMS cache as responses to previous UK / non UK URLs fetches may be cached. When testing to avoid caching issues - do not retest a program that you already tested since last LMS restart. Let's try and go back a bit further and see if Extra is picking up something different in yoru setup. 1. Stop LMS 2. Delete Cache/cache.db 3. Start LMS 4. Enable logging for plugin.bbciplayer.dash and plugin.bbciplayer.extra to DEBUG. 5. Try a Jazz program not already tested - and note name. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
