I'll reach out to them to see what the difference is between the app on the iphone and what the keypad is running. They look identical. The iphone app displays the cover art every time. It doesn't really make much sense to me. The way AirPlay protocol works is that you can send a coverart at anytime, it does not have to be before or after you start a song. You just send the coverart and you indicate a packet number after what it's authorized to display that coverart (there is a 16 bits sequence number associated with every audio packet sent - one packet = 8ms of audio). The number I'm setting is the current packet number, so basically it means it should be displayed any time. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
No, it's not because you don't have hardware but if you were not planning to have SB hardware and are mainly interested in airplay, then there might be other options. For your tests, I also recommend that you do not try synchronized players. I agree the solution is temperamental today and believe me I've spent hours and hours to understand why, unsuccessfully. I did a major redesign recently but with very little improvement. The main issue is that the part that sends audio in HTTP to LMS stalls in packet sending for no apparent reason, except network instability LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. I can access the entire of the plugins menus including changing repo urls from my iPad. Not sure why you can't scroll down. There is no connection between what repos current LMS server releases use and what current iPlayer is on. LMS still ships with a much older repo. I tried once to persuade the LMS maintainer to update it, but he asked for advice on what repo to use instead and people couldn't reach agreement. I feel bpa is too modest and defers to the last version the long term iPlayer plugin maintainer released rather too readily, but that version is no longer of any real use. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
Just gone to use iPlayer for the first time since installing 7.9.0 & only live works. It appears that the default version installed is 1.3.1 which seems odd. Also all categories in Extras are empty, maybe related? I think I've been here before, certainly with empty categories but I'm stuck browsing with a POS iPad, so finding anything is hard work. rbz5416's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12089 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
I am a newbie with Squeezebox. I learnt about it from a site that explains how to setup a multiroom audio system using rasberry pi's. I decided to change the set up since I had a computer running as a server in my house already. After a little bit of search I found a pre-compiled sbssvn virtual machine. Got it up and running updated and installed all packages necessary to have LMS working and also get shairtunes2 working as a plugin (Took many days since I am just learning about the software and how it works). A few days ago I got it all working and I could see my upnp device and my squeezeplay on my iphone and ipad as airplay devices. The problems I am facing now which I am not very sure where to start from to fix are 1. The devices do not show up every time usually I have to play something from the LMS server first before the devices show up as device in airplay for my iphone 2. Secondly, control of the music when I connect with airplay from my iphone or ipad is very tempramental. Most times if I, change the track, rewind or fast forward, the track will most likely just stop playing other times it will do what i want. The only thing I do that does not affect play back is change volume. When I have this problem I have to stop the music wait till shairtunes2 has disconnected the stream (I know this either from the log or from the music info details on the squeezeplay like in the image 23643). Then play the track again, most times it responds but if it doesn't i have to wait a little longer. I will appreciate if I could get some help or hint as to how I could fix this. I dont mind a delay in audio but not been able to control what you are listening to is a pain. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spicefly Fingerprint Metadata Extractor (MusicIP can it be reborn?)
I like this idea. The MIP database has been offline for some years now and it can be a real pain to fingerprint new tracks. Finding some way to replicate the database is a great idea. I only have about 250 mp3 files fingerprinted but I've submitted them using your fingerprint extractor. Will you be incorporating flac? I have about 30k of those.
