Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.0.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Yes avahi-daemon.service is running. That's a problem for the multi-user case: there's a conflict between avahi and spotty's discovery mode. PasTim wrote: > By the way I did try some 24/192,000 flacs on my Marantz, which behaved > correctly (but they are down-sampled to 96,000 for this player). There is something that's likely an issue: I've seen that on repositioning of 16/44.1 files, there is no flac header, so the bridge adds one where on higher res system, with rates not supported by the player, a header is present. That seems consistent with a re-encoding made by lms while when the file is at a rate accepted by the player, LMS simply truncates the file I will continue to verify the header I'm added, but every time I've checked, they seem correct. The difference between a file header and an on-the-fly header is that some global file size and other checksum can not be added on the fly, but again, when doing transcoding the same situation happen and players do not seem affected (that's why your flac-to-flac rule works) I wish I could put my hands on one of these problematic players, but all the ones I have seem to be happy with the headers I'm adding. With ios11.2.5 and the homepod and/or tvos based AppleTV those players are supporting a shared up next functionality. It allows you to remotely manipulate a queue for those players. See this screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/5miSIZH.png I thought this was a feature of airplay 2 but it seems to be seperate from it. Is there a way to make shairport announce itself as that type of player so you can queue stuff in apple music up on them? Right now shairport seems to advertise as an airport express (speaker icon). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Band's Campout 1.7
The Music Feed does appear to not only be an issue, but also appears to 'hang' for a while. Once the system becomes responsive again, it does continue to work. I just tested again and I'm not experiencing the sorting issue in my collection or my wishlist. I didn't ever check if this is worked for 'fans' or 'followers' listings though... *Player: *1 x Transporter w/Trans-knob, 2 x Touch (Active, 3 x Spares), 4 x Boom (Active, 9 x Spares) *Server: *1 x Win Server (ESXi 6.x) w/LMS, 1 x HP 24" Touch Screen PC w/LMS & SqueezePlay *Control: *4 x w/iPeng, 1 x Samsung Note 4, 3ea x Fire 7", 8 tablets, 1 x 10" all w/SqueezeCtrl & Player (Angry Goat) *Audio: *Mark Levinson 23.5 Amp, 380s Pre, 390s CD, B&W 801 II, Acoustic Energy AE-2 signature, SOTA Sapphire table Computer geek/tech hoarder(!), and DAMN I love the LMS/Squeeze infrastructure! markm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65015 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108832 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hello, I am running LMS 7.9.0 on an Unraid NAS, under a Docker, if you know what I mean (kind of container that runs LMS under a virtual machine). Anyway, Spotify does not see the Spotty plugin running under my LMS. Is that because I am using a free account, therefore no login? Or is it because Spotty uses a specific TCP port? Because if it is a port problem I need to know which one it is and open it under the Docker (virtual machine) parameters. Yes - I tried connecting from the Spotify App first. It "tries" for about 10 seconds (greyed-out) then fails and pauses the music. Music is still set to play from the phone when you un-pause it. I have these accounts: - "home-spotify account" that I use with Spotty normally. - my own phones spotify account that I use with my own phone - my wifes phones spotify account that she uses with her phone Spotify connect works only with account that is selected in spotty.
