I have not been able to reproduce this. A new version is being

For quite a long time I`ve got an issue with iPeng and playback on my
iPad. It sometimes happens, that the volume changes out of nothing. Just
listening for some time and the iOS volume info appears on screen and
volume changes.
Really often this happens few seconds after I have changed volume
manually, so I have to do it again.

Any idea what causes this? There is no problem, when using Squeezepad on
the same iPad.

It might not be pointless; Chrome has simply become annoying to me. I
understand the reason for the notification, but it would be nice if
Chrome was "smart" enough to avoid popping up this notification every
time I use search, or if the URL could simply be scrolled off the
screen.

I am not familiar with kiwi, so I will try that now. Thank you for the
suggestion.

As discussed previously - this is a chrome "feature". The reason it
appears is because the connection to LMS is not encrypted - its http,
not https. So, any text sent is in the clear - so chrome is telling the
user about this. You can use kiwi (as suggested by slartibartfast) or
use the Material android app created by another user (I can't remember
the URL).

However how does this make it "pointless"??? Annoying behaviour I agree
- but does not make it pointless!

Um, no. The screenshots from the original post have the vertical three
dots => the menu was there then as well. So, no nothing has changed
since *then* - therefore, it hasn't gotten worse.

No, this is in reference to the *menu* that is produced from the *more*
button. In this case, there is the delete and clear all - in others
(e.g. track info) there is much more. Material does not know what is in
the "more" menu until it is opened.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin

2019-10-17 Thread Ron F.

I have an issue when I am using material/mobile as a Chrome-based app on
my phone running Android 10.

When using the search option in either Spotty or Qobuz, once I begin
typing in the search field the URL bar appears and I get the
notification: "Your connection to this site is not secure." I don't see
how to rid myself of the URL bar with this useless notification unless I
refresh the page. This makes running material/mobile as Chrome browser
app somewhat pointless. I note however that Opera does not exhibit this
behavior, so that is an option if anyone is interested. I am wondering
if there is something that can be done to avoid triggering this behavior
in Chrome? I don't expect there is - just thought I would ask.

No, no changes.

How is that 'worse'??? It's the same as before.

Previously if a menu only had one entry, I just showed that action. For
consistency, and to speed up large lists, I changed it to always show a
menu icon. I -could- revert that, and you would just have the "more"
action (the three dots in a circle) and not the menu button (the
vertical dots) . This would only save you 1 click though. Placing the
contents of the "More" into a popup menu itself is not really feasible,
as there can be a lot of items.

My reply -

I'd like to ask about this issue again, since I'm not sure what the
possibilities are now. The fuller context is here:

The UI has actually gotten worse since recent updates to Material - now
it requires even more clicks to simply delete an entry (there's a new
More pop-up menu). See video:

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)

2019-10-17 Thread marflao

Guys,

I'm getting a bit frustrated with my Riva Arena.

Worked all fine until a couple of days ago. Battery went empty and when
I plugged the Arena back to the power socket it didn't show up anymore
as a player in LMS.

Since then I did numerous times:
1) i) de-install Airplay Bridge in LMS
ii) re-install Airplay Bridge in LMS

2) i) de-install Airplay Bridge in LMS
ii) reset the Arena; then set it up in Google Home (as described in
their "'Quick Start Guide'
iii) re-install Airplay Bridge in LMS

3) i) de-install Airplay Bridge in LMS
ii) reset the Arena; then set it up with Airplay (also mentioned in the
"Guide")
iii) re-install Airplay Bridge in LMS

But whatever I do the Arena won't be shown in the list of players in the
config file.

28359

Would really apprecciate if somebody could give me a hint what needs to
be done.

Thanks in advance.

I think it comes from LMS. My Touch doesn't seem to keep its own
date/time up to date.

I use "%H:%M" without the one. I am not sure where it gets the time but

Aes, many of us have experienced this, it has been discussed quite a bit
earlier in this thread. However, I am noticing that I only experience it
in the "Interactive" stream. It has not happened to me in the "Regular"
stream to the best that I can recall.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Custom Clock applet for Touch/Radio/Controller

2019-10-17 Thread mnd

Anyone could help me how to set the correct timezone for the current
time, that is displayed by the custom clock applet?

I use the "%H1:%M" variables, but it displays GMT time. Where does the
custom clock applet get the current time - does it come from the
settings of the Logitech media server, from the custom clock helper, the
PC/NAS that the server is installed on, or some place else?
