Glad it worked out. I will consider those suggestions for the next
revision due out soon. You should be able to figure it out by looking
at some of the code in use. Input_select would provide a pull down with
your choices then call the appropriate script (playlist or radio station
script and pass the selected value, etc..) I tend to use Spotify and
voice activation for the most part so pulling up a playlist or radio
station is pretty easy. "Hey google ask LMS Controls to play radio
station CBC in the kitchen"

I believe based on your description that it's a Uppercase issue. For
the following input_selects the player names should be lower case as
this is how they are generally identified automatically by HA's
squeezebox add-on. In the code I use these values to call up the proper
player. For reference the following is my input_select values:

Code:

  lms_player:
  name: Media Player Name
  options:
  - mediaroom
  - kitchen
  - garage
  - familyroom
  - googlehome
  - bathroom
  - googlemini_2
  icon: mdi:cast-connected

  ### To be updated as required
  ### - Update options to reflect the media player names you have available
as defined in customization section
  lms_sync_master:
  name: Master Player (Sync Source)
  options:
  - mediaroom
  - kitchen
  - garage
  - familyroom
  - googlehome
  - bathroom
  - googlemini_2
  icon: mdi:cast-connected

I believe your should read: *radio_buro* and* radio_kuche* rather than
*Radio_Buro* and *Radio_Kuche*. That should get the volume, play,
pause, etc.. working. Your entity listing above is correct, the first
entity is media_player type and the second one the boolean is used for
setting the sync parameter for the player.

Give that a go. Ynot

Extras still has uses the DAB 600x600 URLs which BBC last time erased

I thought I saw the issue, refreshed the page and the image showed.
Which is why I checked the onerror handler. Why have it for one source,
and not all? Why not just add to all images?

Turns out that one picture at the top of the review isn't part of the
overall HTML. I'll fix that in the next release.

(Well, not really fix it, as it's a problem with rovicorp.com, not the
plugin. They sometimes fail the https negotiation. But I'll add the
"hide this ugly stuff from me" workaround anyway)

I thought I saw the issue, refreshed the page and the image showed.
Which is why I checked the onerror handler. Why have it for one source,
and not all? Why not just add to all images?

I have only seen one and after closing and re-opening Material the image
was there.
Lets give it a period of testing and if I hit another I will take proper

Slightly OT but I was checking a few album reviews to test the latest
version of the plugin and found what must be one of the worst reviews I
have ever seen.
"Out of all of Al Stewart's grandly ambitious albums, Russians &
Americans is among the most problematic, since he takes an actual
political position, which tends to hurt the flow of the music."
I thought there must be more but clicking through to the Allmusic page
shows that is the full review.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin

2020-02-18 Thread Michael Herger

I agree these placeholders are annoying. I've just made a change for
Material 1.4.2 where these failed images should be hidden. I re-write
the "img" tag to have an "onerror" handler, which when called sets the
item to hidden. @Michael if you make a similar change in MAI, I'll
remove it from Material. But I guess its something the client, and not
the plugin, should handle.

I would, in general, agree. But in this particular case I'm actually
creating the img tag in the plugin code on the server. Thus I can easily
insert an onerror handler, too. I'll have an update later today.

This issue doesn't look like it is going to go away and having looked at
it further I agree that it is AllMusic and their CDN side of things not
the plugin.
In the circumstances would it be a good idea to make the display of
images inside MAI optional i.e. an On / Off switch inside the plugin
settings.
iPeng for example simply ignores them but still brings the text of Bio's
and Reviews through.
Personally I'd prefer no images at all rather than placeholders
appearing randomly.

mobile.html

the url taking you straight to a player is not working now, it returns
"404 Not Found: .html" with 1.4 and 1.41
eg

http://192.168.0.125:9000/material/mobile.html?player=office, where
office is a player name

it gets redirected on the browser line to:
http://192.168.0.125:9000/material/.html?player=office=mobile
