Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I don't know much about UI design, so maybe I'm missing something here. But, when using a desktop app, I have a "habit" of clicking a drop-down menu to look at it and then clicking again (without moving my mouse) to close it. In Material, if I do this on either the Players or Menu drop-downs, I end up unintentionally selecting the first entry. Is this behavior by design? If not, could the menus be repositioned to avoid this? Perhaps Material has some guidelines for postioning these menus or what the UX should be? There's a really useful (but perhaps somewhat unknown) feature in the default skin that I'd love to see in Material. In the default skin, the "Choose Player" dropdown allows you to turn any player on or off with a single click - without having to select that player or open a new dialog or page. It would be handy to have this in Material in both desktop and mobile versions. Perhaps the player icon could be made clickable in Material? This is pretty cool Michael, but I'm a little confused about how the UI is intended to be used. (I'm only using it from the webUI for now.) I see how to create a mix by navigating to a track in my local library and starting to play a mix (which then seems to only play Spotify tracks after the initial local track). I also see how to edit the existing recipes via settings. How do I create/save a new recipe? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Public Radio Fan
I don't think the Public Radio Fan plugin has been maintained for a few years. Some options to consider, although they don't quite offer publicradiofan style browsing are: - The built-in Radiotime support has quite good NPR listings. In fact, a year or 2 ago, the guy who owns publicradiofan.com was on the Radiotime Board of Advisors and Radiotime was receiving NPR program data from him. I'm not sure if either of those are still the case, but you can certainly use the Radiotime plugin for NPR. - Try the NPR Radio plugin by bpa which is mostly an NPR podcast directory and is actively maintained. -- Mark Miksis Mark Miksis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85805 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It would be very cool if, on SBC, it could rotate the image based on the orientation of the controller, like iPhone, droid, etc. -- Mark Miksis Mark Miksis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76879 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

mherger;530967 Wrote: There's very basic support for this: if you enable auto-rotate on SBC (ImageViewer settings) it should do this. But it's not very intelligent. You can't flip it to change the orientation back. I can't get it to rotate with either always rotate or rotate on mobile device. -- Mark Miksis Mark Miksis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76879 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
