Thanks for the feedback and it's glad that the shortcuts are useful for you. Just be aware that currently the shortcut only play MP3 (not what's set in the Qobuz plugin) when sharing from Qobuz, but Tidal is fine. I would like to wait for this is fixed (either Michael improve the qobuz plugin or I improve my shortcut code) before creating a new thread. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Hi Michael, I just found that if I send the origin Qobuz URL to LMS via JsonRPC, only mp3 quality is played even the setting of the plugin is "Flac Hi Res 24bit/>96kHz", the request body is like this: {"id":1,"method":"slim.request","params":["bb:bb:14:dc:88:26",["playlist","play","https://open.qobuz.com/track/151020043"]]} My LMS version is "Logitech Media Server Version: 8.3.0 - 1655802730 @ Tue Jun 21 11:17:14 WEDT 2022" Qobuz plugin version is 2.6.1 And the Qobuz log was: [22-10-20 21:54:01.7856] Plugins::Qobuz::API::_get (700) https://www.qobuz.com/api.json/0.2/track/getFileUrl?app_id=_id=5_sig=4fe3e614af98f3f39006d8267c861957_ts=1666263241_id=151020043_auth_token= [22-10-20 21:54:02.9532] Plugins::Qobuz::ProtocolHandler::new (34) Remote streaming Qobuz track: https://streaming-qobuz-std.akamaized.net/file?uid=1904599=151020043=5=raw_id=942852567=1299801=1666266842=DPXMRrplu-qxFjJK5tmK0PWxyN0 [22-10-20 21:54:03.2468] Plugins::Qobuz::Reporting::endStreaming (102) Reported event before [22-10-20 21:54:03.2494] Plugins::Qobuz::Reporting::endStreaming (102) Reported event before Is this behaviour expected? I have been looking into develop an ios LMS Connect App and technically tried an prototype and looked promising. However, when I read carefully about the Apple Developer Program, found out the not only need to pay $99USD per year but also the app review process is very rigid with documentation required. As there shouldn't be a lot of users need this app, not sure it's worthwhile to spend the effort. However, I found that ios shortcut could be a workaround and spent some time to develop one can work with Tidal and Qobuz (may work with others, but I haven't test any), here is link to the shortcut: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/bde91a24b33a468cb8f518c157950d98 After download the shortcut to your iphone or ipad, you need to set up the LMS server and player info in the shortcut first as I couldn't find a way to auto scan them, here are the steps: 1. Open the "Shortcut" app in ios, 2. Find the shortcut "Play on LMS", touch the shortcut to bring up the context menu, 3. Choose "Details" in the menu, then choose the "Set-up" tab, 4. tap on the "Customise shortcut...", 5. Update the ip address (and the port if needed) in the "LMSEndpoint" list, 6. Update the player ID(Mac Address) in the "PlayID" list, 7. Press "Done" Then in Qobuz or Tidal, tab on any "share" icon, you should see the new "Play on LMS" action in the action List. Once it's chosen, will show a pop-up to allow to you to choose between "Play now", "Play next" or "Add to queue", and if everything is configured properly, the music will start playing in LMS. For streaming services like Tidal , Qobuz (I guess Dezzer as well), the share is a bit more complicated than sharing a URL to LMS. Haven't used Dezzer yet, but will try when time allows. As I mentioned before, I am just an amateur software developer and this is my first and only android app, so sometimes I struggled to understand some basic android concepts. But will definitely improve the app based on you guys' feedback if time allows. Back to your questions/comments, please see my responses below, thanks. 1) It works great for me almost all of the time, but some things don't work. For example, I can't get "My Daily Discovery" or any of the "Master Edition - Track Radio" to play. Most playlists and albums do work. I am not sure if this because these are handled differently? A: I guess the LMS Tidal plugin can only play "Track", "PlayList" and "Album" (please correct me if I am wrong), so my app can't do much as the playing part is managed by LMS (& the Tidal plugin). My workaround is to (in the Tidal app) add any "My Daily Discovery", "Radio" or "Mix" into a new PlayList, then play the PlayList. 2) No biggie but your app says "you can exit" and there is no exit. I just switch over to the tidal app. A:Yap, the home button will do as well. Again, this is due to my ignorance of basic android concept, I don't even know what is "exit" really doing in android. 3) Happy to report that it works on Android 12 (I have a Pixel) and also on Amazon Fire Tablets (I used Fire Toolbox to "de-amazon" them, return them close to stock android) A:Thanks for the report, now there have been reports that the app works on v9-v12 then. 4) I find that when I am in Tidal, I choose "Share" and the only options are "copy" and "more". I have to choose "more" to get to LMS Connect. Anyone know of an easier way, maybe get the LMS connect options along side "copy"? A:Sorry I can't do anything on this either as this is the design of the Tidal app. 5) Wondering if you were thinking about publishing it on F-Droid like Material? I think it might make our updates easier. Just a thought. A: Will look into this. 6) I don't see any way to determine the version number other than under settings->apps->LMS connect, which I guess is ok. A:When I first developed this app, the intent was just a little toy for myself and never thought about version control, but this is easy to add in the next release. Thanks for the info! Haha, I have found the problem!, In short, I misunderstood the auto discover protocol, the app doesn't work with any LMS server with a 4 letters long name, just like yours - "tars"! Should have a new version soon to fix this issue. If the permission is enabled, can you try to clear the storage and cache, and enable the "storage" permission again, then run the app again. I could do am nmap scan if it helps? Thanks for trying, so the number of players doesn't matter then. Please try this new version (please double check whether the storage permission is enabled if you just see a white screen): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bURTqCq9MPaZNYalGKDh-aRnJofM-dH-/view?usp=sharing This one by default disables auto discover, you need to specify the IP address of the LMS server, then press the "Retrieve Player Data from Server" button to get a list of players. If that works, you can try to enable auto discover, see if the app crashes or misbehaves. If still the case, please send me the log file again (better to delete the old log file before running this version). Although I don't know the root cause, but everything is making sense now. Definitely the auto discover logic of the app needs to be improved, at least allow you to manually specify the server IP without crashing. Hi, I was going to make the change, but can I clarify your requirement? My understanding of your requirement was if a player is "Power off", you would like the player can be automatically turned on after sharing to "Play on LMS"? Is that right? I also did a test on my environment (LMS + picoreplayer/squeezelite) and my player can be automatically turned on already. But I am not sure all types of players have the same behaviour as I only have picoreplayer/squeezelite players. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi Philippe, First thank you for making such a great plugin! It has been running very well until today I found that the CPU usage of the "squeeze2upnp-win.exe" is very high, making my PC's CPU usage 100% all the time. I don't think this was the case before, so this problem should just happen recently. I updated my LMS to the latest (8.3.0 - 1636104857 @ Fri Nov 5 10:47:10 WEST 2021), restarted the PC, but the problem still exists. I have attached the log and the config file (in the attached zip file), appreciated that if you can have look and see if you can find out what's the cause, thanks! Below is the explanation from the Squeezelite configuration page of Picoreplayer: - Output device supports native DSD (-D) : delay = optional delay switching between PCM and DoP in ms. format = dop (default if not specified), u8, u16le, u16be, u32le or u32be. mherger wrote: > > > Nice! Can you share some information about how this is implemented > "under the hood"? I haven't found much useful information about what > their implementation of a Connect mode is. Sure, already plan to upload the code to Github and share, just need to clean the code a bit, currently looking pretty embarrass. The concept is very simple: - Register the Android app as "sharing targets" so that it will appear in the "share to" list, - Once the native Tidal/Qobuz app shares the album/playlis/track url (like this: https://tidal.com/track/181884677) to the app, the app gets the type(album, playlist or tack) and the id ("181884677" in the above example) based on the url, - The app reformats the type and id to the LMS Tidal/Qobuz accepted song url format and send it to the LMS jsonrpc either via "Playlist add" or Playlist play" commands. (e.g the Tidal accepted url format is: "wimp://181884677.flac", and the whole jsonrpc body looks like this: "{"id":1,"method":"slim.request","params":["b8:27:eb:8f:24:4b",["playlist","play","wimp://181884677.flac"]]}" RCST's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71755 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114611 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: LMS Connect - streaming Tidal/Qobuz to LMS via native Android apps
Have been using LMS(Logitech Media Server) + Tidal/Qobuz plugins to stream Tidal/Qobuz, however, still prefer to use native Tidal/Qobuz apps to explore musics Inspired by the way how the android Kodi control apps streaming Youtube video to Kodi, developed this little android app which can stream Tidal/Qobuz to LMS via the native Tidal/Qobuz Android apps. Of course, this is not an official Tidal Connect or Qobuz Connect, but a diy workaround. In short , here is how it works: In the android Tidal/Qobuz app, find any track, album or playlist, share it to this LMS_Connect app, then the music will be streamed to LMS. Prerequisite: LMS with Tidal or Qobuz plugin(s) installed. An Android device (phone or tablet) with Native Tidal or Qobuz app(s) installed. The Android device and LMS server are in the same network. Installation and set up instruction: Note: this app doesnt require any permission and doesnt need your Tidal or Qobuz user info as they are all set up in LMS. 1.In your Android device, use a web browser to download and install the LMS_Connect app: (As other apps from "unknown source, some warnings will be shown during the installation) 2. Run the LMS_Connect app to set up your LUMS connection. Just fill in the LMS server ip address (ip address only, not host name) and leave other 2 values as is unless you know what to set. Then press Retrieve player data from server button, if everything goes right, all the LMS players should be listed. 3. Tap the player you want to stream the music to (still need to tap once even just have one player), then the header of the list view above should state the which player is chosen. 4. Then the app can be closed. 5. Open the Tidal or Qobuz app, find a track, an album or a playlist, then "share" to either "Play on LMS" or "Queue on LUMS". 34722347233472434721 +---+ |Filename: Screenshot_20210520-183149.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34724| +---+ RCST's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71755 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114611 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
