There is a small interface bug… When selecting the version in the drop
down, you need to check the box with the URL below: you will need to
click in that box and click again on the drop down for the URL to be
updated.

Hi Paul!

Listening to RTBF radios every day thanks to your plugin! :-)
As you suggested - I've sent them a message about their inconsistant
metadata management. Will see if they ever respond.

Just to come back on my post (#685), the main icon in main menu doesn't
look ok on black background/Jive FYI. See screenshot ;-)

Just realising that the icon on Material skin is all white on black

When you say you don’t have that access, do you mean that you need
credentials or a certain collaboration with RadioPlayer to make it work?

How should I proceed now? have just installed UK RadioPlayer but

As mentioned, the automated setup works beautifully

Quick question about LMS-lite: Voice commands on a
piCorePlayer/Squeezelite are not all working - is this normal? "Play on

That's strange that there is only a tiny number of people willing to use
voice control for their SB devices. I really think this is the only
missing feature.
Is MediaServer available in limited countries? I can't find it on the

Nothing major but over the last couple of weeks, it seems that accessing
Qobuz categories is slower than before. I get the waiting arrow from
Material skin for 3 sec before reaching a specific category. if i am
getting back to the same category right after, it is cached and
therefore straight access.
Is this something you are also experiencing on your side? It might be
due to my internet connection.

The only thing is that I don't get the metadata from those Belgian
stations. But looking closer, it's the broadcaster's fault. I will
revert to RTBF... But to my own risk: I am not sure RTBF is aware that
RadioNet is broadcasting their radios. They normally only support
maradio.be / Radioplayer.be since they have left TuneIn.

Thanks Michael and Sternjaeger for your feedbacks. Following your posts,
I have further investigated why I can't seek on my side on Boom and

I have tried changing the format from Flac 16bit to MP3 320 kbps to

Yes, I have created a custom-convert.conf with Notepad++, copy pasted
the code; saved it and dropped it in the folder, restarted the server,
it didn't work. Of course, I am not sure if the file is set up 100% ok.

By any chance is there any library of custom-convert files available

Thx very very much!

Unfortunately the approach is too geeky for me :-) Have found the
location on Max2Play (\etc\squeezeboxserver), have followed the steps
above and doesn't seem to work yet.

Have plenty of questions linked to this custom file: how can I check if
the file is being taken into account? Would I see it via the "more info"
e.g. less kbps? Or I need to check in logs

I understand SOX still lossless? But would like to make sure I get the
stream untouched for my Transporter. Is it possible to assign this to a
player only e.g. a Boom?

Thanks for your answer! I tried the Proxy options already but for the
Boom, it didn't change a thing. I'll have a look on my Pi/Max2Play and
try to find that folder. Last time I had a look, I found a convert file
but in another folder...

Regarding the custom file, 2 questions:
- do I only need to create a notepad file with the code inside:

flc flc * *
[sox] -q -t flac $FILE$ -t flac -

- I understand that * could be replaced with the type of player, right?
And if yes how shall I do that (mac address? Type of player?), knowing I
would like to apply conversation to my Radios and Booms only.

Thx!!

Anyone using Qobuz Studio in 24/96 and a boom or Radio could try playing
Velvet Moon from Billie Holiday and see if you are getting the same
issues?
On this post

there is a potential solution by using using SOX to transcode, but I
don't get where the .config file is located and should be stuctured
using LMS on Max2Play...

Hi guys,

It seems I have the same issue with Qobuz on some of my Players - Radio
and Boom, with suttering and rebuffering (see
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?111474-Qobuz-Dropouts=961183=1#post961183).
I would like to try the custom-config solution but how do I proceed?
Where is this config file located?

Thx for the help ;-)

CPU is a little bit more active, but nothing major.

Listening to Velvet Moon from Billie Holiday on Qobuz using a Boom or
Radio

- if in 44.1 kHz, 696Kbps On Max2Play interface, CPU load = 0.25 --> all
ok
- if in 96 kHz, 3036Kbps - CPU load = 0.35 --> buffering and sutters

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz Dropouts

2020-01-19 Thread didjean

Hi there,

Speaking of Dropouts, I am not 100% sure I understand how LMS is
managing Qobuz Hi-Res files and players.
E.g a Transporter and a Boom, have set up the Qobuz plugin to stream
FLAC hi-res 24bits/96kHz.
Is that correct to say that the stream would play natively on the
Transporter and would be converted on the fly by the server for the
Boom?
Right now, depending of stream properties, I see issues on my Boom or
Radio for files above 2500Kbps (audio is suttered or there is buffering
on some files).
Any way to avoid this except going back to 44.1 kHz? I have updated my
server to a pi4, but still have the issues.

Thx for your feedback ;-)

Hi Michael,

It seems qobuz has the same kind of service as Spotify, it's called
Qobuz Connect:

https://www.qobuz.com/be-fr/applications#app-audio

I am on Qobuz, but was curious and took a 3 months subscription to
Spotify just to test Spotty :-).

I must say I definitely prefer the sound quality of Qobuz (when is
Spotify going to launch their Hifi service?) but I do LOVE Spotty and
Spotify music selections/playlists. Great work :-)

Is there any Qobuz Connect on which a similiar plugin could be created.
It's very convenient to use the native interface from a streaming
service.

Cheers!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: LMS Controls - Google Home / Google Assistant Voice Control of LMS Players

Wow, discovering this thread. Thanks for your great work. I really need
to test this as soon as I find some time.

To be honest, voice control via Google Home or Alexa is definitely
something missing from my Squeezebox experience. This, the LMS web
interface and integration with some of the online services show that our
beloved Squeezebox setup is getting a tiny bit behind other proposals.
But I am still in love with it.

Do you think that your approach could be integrated as a plugin to the
Max2Play experience so it would be easy to make it work ?
