Ohh!! I made a mistake CJS. I suppose the LMS server must be active. I had LMS 7.7.x in a 715 Synology ARM. Now I changed this NAS. I bought a 720+ and I must install Docker/LMS. In fact I have all this in my work NAS. In my home NAS I have a 918+ with Docker/LMS and as clients SqueezePlay and a Squeezebox Classic. I will install Docker/LMS As soon as possible. Hi: I used SqueezePlay for MacOsX for years, but I don't remember how to configure it. I have just installed (from scratch) version 8.0.1. First of all I chose the (English) language. Later without asking me tries to connect to my squeezebox.com: 39328 I don't want this, but configure my local LMS server and library: 39329 When I try to switch the library, this screen appears: 39330 What I'm doing wrong.? Hi Michael and people: I am having a strange problem using Spotty 4.8.4 and Spotify: When playing a list, only a song is played. When a song finishes, the next song is not played. This is only using Spotify as player. If I use SqueezePad, iPeng, or the web player, all works ok. What is happening? Hi: I am using the impressive Michael Hergers Spotty LMS plug-in. I am using with an iPad with the player Squeezepad. SqueezePad only has version for ipad? Do you know if there is an iPhone compatible player ? Excellent iPeng and the author Jörg (sorry I dont remember the last name) told me he was not interested in doing his iPeng player compatible. Other Macosx players as Squeezeplay are also compatible. Hi: I have just finished rewriting my local TAGS of my 1205 album for matching with Spotify TAGS. I discovered a little strange thing. I have an author with two ocurrences: - "Bedrich Smetana". It is very strange because inside the Artists menu, there are no albums. It is empty. Only a "browse on Spotify" menu. If I click on the menu there is a Spotify album, but I have no this album - "BedÅich Smetana", then there is a local album and also the "browse on Spotify" menu". It does not work because Spotty or LMS doesn't work managing the non standard characters. If I delete the local album, the first ocurrence remains. It seems a different author but I don't know how to look for it Could you help me? I want to find/delete the first ocurrence. Hi Michael: As you are distinguishing between Spotty issues and LMS issues, Id like to ask you a question: Sometime ago, I was talking with you about problems in Spotty in Browse in Spotify when I work with artists with non standard characters like Céline Dion. Some artists worked and some other not worked. My question is if this behaviour depends on Spotty or if it is an LMS issue. I have LMS 8.1.1 and Spotty 4.6.1. You explained to me how to update to 8.2 in Docker, but Im afraid break my 8.1.1. It works so well with Browse on Spotify . Its an incredible feature. I am using the Browse on Spotify (spotty) feature. It works very very well. I only have some little problems with artists with special characters as Céline Dion. The é and similar characters dont work. I know that Michael will solve this when possible. Anyway Browse on Spotify works very well. I have a problem that I would like you to help me to solve. I have been using LMS from my iPad with iPeng for several years. The problem is that iPeng is not compatible with Browse on Spotify. I talked with the author (pippin) and he told me the problem was not easy to solve and he had to do some important changes. I also use LMS from my Mac and Squeezeplay and Browse on Spotify works OK. My question: Do you know if other programs for iPad as Squeezepad work with Browse on Spotify feature? You must add for the local author, a Spotify album in the Spotify library. Then you use the Browse on Spotify feature and it works correctly. You can delete the album from the Spotify library but from now on the Browse on Spotify feature always work correctly for this author. I have no idea of what is happening but this works correctly for all my problematic authors. You could test this if you have an author with problems. Hi: I am going on testing the Browse on Spotify feature. It seems that the matching between my local author tag name and the Spotify author tag name has to be perfect. To solve this I changed the name all of my local (more than 421) authors with the Spotify authors. Now, It works very very well, but I am having problems yet with non standard characters I am having problems with all non-ascii? standard characters . Example Desree Dustin OHalloran Gisbert OSullivan Even authors as my favorite Céline Dion dont work. I know that you changed some sorting options in Spotty 4.6 Did this problem solved yet? Or it is not possible to solve it? I changed by the exact Spotify tag "Ekaya, Abdullah Ibrahim" but clicking on "Browse on Spotify" feature appears empty. What I am doing wrong? Hi Michael: I am using Spotty 4.49 in my with a dockerized 8.1.1 version of LMS in my Synology NAS. Mixing Spotify and local content is an impressive feature. All works ok. But when using the feature ÂBrowse on Spotify inside an Artist on my local Artist list, sometime finds the Spotify contents and sometimes not. I think this is due to the artist name tag. The Artist name must be written exactly as is in Spotify. Is there any way to solve this? For example -If I use ÂAlan Parsons Project as my Artist tag name ÂBrowse on Spotify is empty. If I use ÂThe Alan Parsons Project it works ok. -If I use ÂBach as my Artist tag name ÂBrowse on Spotify is empty. If I use ÂJohann Sebastian Bach it works ok. Hi: I am using the new LMS 8.1.1 dockerized in my Synology 918+. I am very glad with it. I like all the new streaming features including the Spotify (spotty plug-in) but I have a problem that only it happens in iPeng (web clients and Squeezeplay work correctly) When choosing the Artists menu, there is an option for each artist to access the Spotify albums). This option does not appear in iPeng? Am I doing something wrong? What is happening? They dont want to upgrade to version 8.x It is a shame because I am sure they have requests and more requests of synology customers requesting the upgrade. I had the same problem as you. As I have an Intel Synology, I installed a dockerized version of LMS 8.1.1. It is impressive. The integration with streaming (I am using Spotify) is perfect. If you have an Intel Synology, try it. It works very well. By the way, mherger thank you very much for your work. A last question, mherger, when, importing playlists, all works ok, but there is a new list (I think this is a new version of Spotify) that gets all the single songs in a list called temas que te gustan (in English themes that you like or something similar). Do you know why this list is not imported correctly? Hi Pippin: First of all, I apologize if this question has been answered yet. For years, I have been using LMS 7.7.x (in a Synology NAS) and former versions with my Squeezebox 3 (SB3). Also for years, I have been using your iPeng (and iPeng FLAC plugins) versions in my iPhone and in my iPad. I am very satisfied with all this. Recently LMS 7.7.x stopped working (it is not compatible with last Perl version) in my Synology and this package is an EOL release. Synology does not want to upgrade to version 8.x. I dont know the reason. There are much upgrade requests but I dockerized LMS to last version 8.1.1. and it works very well. It seems it has a very good new features for streaming services. I.e. the Spotify artwork has little icons when you choose a Spotify disc. I toke a look to some features using iPeng and see that it seems than iPeng cant manage this artwork. Are you going to release a new update (or upgrade) compatible with this? For me it is very interesting to know if I am using a Spotify (streaming) version or a local version.
