This plugin uses Google Default Media Receiver and you can NOT update metadata without restarting the stream. OK, so I looked into Custom Receiver (we could have fancy LMS logo). I have created one, registered with google, can play it and debug it. But can't find a method to update the metadata property on the default UI that is delivered with Custom Receiver. From what I see so far, one would have to go not only with the Custom Receiver (which is not that difficult) but also with custom UI and UI bindings (this is possible) and Events control to update all of the custom UI. The two GCC players that can play gapless that I found are, Hifi Cast and squeeze2cast, both employ uninterrupted stream flow and static metadata (or no metadata), HiFi Cast populates metadata at the begging of the flow but does not change the metadata when playing different tracks in the flow. Google Play does play gapless, they have implemented Media Source Extensions, but since they play back mp3 only (even if you upload flac) , this is again not a solution. I don't think there is an easy solution to real, non-flow gapless playing currently available without creating a Custom Receiver with Custom UI and Event Handlers. And this is not trivial work. Here is the GCC issue to enable live update to metadata without restarting the stream. https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/117796638 If this is resolved, one could look into sending a message from the player to the receiver in the gapless flow and update the metadata accordingly. I certainly look forward to play without breaks as intended and display up to date metadata. Philippe; Recently I've been using TV Chrome Cast more often and enjoy the TV display of metadata and cover. This works well from local files and Spotify, but Qobuz cast does not display Cover Art (the rest of metadata is OK) . The artwork displays fine in the local browser using the url from the log Code: [14:58:30.495390] sq_get_metadata:497 [0xb5d360]: idx 7 artist:Alexander Melnikov album:Mozart: Sonatas for Fortepiano and Violin title:Violin Sonata in A Major, K. 526: III. Title metadata has a very large font on my TV Display and just truncates long titles, especially classical one... I did not see any font control in your code. Is there a way to somehow make the font for title smaller ? Album and Artist are tiny but useful and visible fine on a large display. If you don't mind, here is how I would like the plugin to behave (user specs :-)) a setting toggle to include/not include samples based on the setting, when track url is get, either drop or include samples based on the url subdomain, samples subdomain will always stream mp3. This is what I would like to see. Personally, I would exclude samples as they are just annoying. Of course others and yourself, might have a different usage and behaviour scenario for the plugin. Hopefully qobuz will redesign this part of their metadata and plugin can be made more robust. As always, thanks for the fantastic work. matka's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34878 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I have a subscription to Qobuz service (premium, then i tried also with Hifi subscription). my playlists created on my iphone are well retrieved, but it is impossible to play any track. I tried to play track with Squeezeplay on Macos (Squeezeplay 7.7 and 7.8) and on Android; impossible to listen anything, each time each track is stopped (without any sound) after 1-3 seconds and the message Failed to get next track Qobuz is displayed on the Squeezeplay interface. Any idea ? Can you play an album from a search with a new playlist created in squeezplay ? I just checked and 1.81 works fine for me. Please also note that this version does not include samples in the playlist (which is great). See discussion in this thread. Also, check with a browser that album is streamable. matka's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34878 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The data tells me streamable=sample, which means there's only a 60s mp3 snippet available (see http://www.qobuz.com/api.json/0.2/album/get?app_id=1amp;album_id=3149028027624 for the full reply, if you're interested :-)). I deliberatly decided not to stream samples, for the sake of code simplicity. Can you confirm the desktop let's you play the _full_ track? Michael; Similiar experience here with Philippe Bianconi - Claude Debussy : Préludes (Livres I II). In the browser there is a following message (translated) unlimited listening (streaming) for subscribers Qobuz Hi-Fi This album is available for unlimited listening (streaming) and True CD quality only through subscription Qobuz High Fidelity! Qobuz Subscribe to Hi-Fi I have noticed before that when retrieving track data sometimes the streamable argument is not the same as when you do a sign call with authorization token (like track/getFileUrl). I would guess that the plan that one has plus label agreement result in a final decision what is streamable in full. I have full HiFI plan. I can play all tracks from the above album in full. To make things even more interesting, there are albums where some tracks are streamable and some are not. An example The Definitive Joe Henderson. Here is the info box from browser Some tracks are not available in unlimited listening (streaming) The copyright holder has not authorized full listen some tracks under the offers unlimited music . You can listen to 60 second clips in high quality nonetheless. Tracks 2-4 are directed to samples url, the rest plays in full. matka's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34878 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
New version 1.74 works great. Qobuz does not allow (or is not allowed to) stream all music available at the site. An example, search Jan Garbarek, first album Magico can be streamed, the second one Dansere can not. I understand this is a record label choice, no problem here. In the current plugin (1.74), LMS tries to play flac when in fact what was get is a sample file from sample.qobuz in mp3. Result is a silence for the duration of original flac track. Is there a way to handle this and give an early warning ? I tried some of API calls and found streamable argument not reliable, or I do not know how to use it properly. In Android, qobuz provides a warning but only just before playing starts, after a signed call for a track ? Great job, thanks a lot and looking for further improvements. I do have full plan, 30 Euro. matka's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34878 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I think the best is to contact them, I will try in English. Got a replay from qobuz, I have misunderstood the plan. [SlimDevices: Plugins] qobuz plugin - Duet and Transporter bufferring in FLAC
Qobuz plugin works fine in FLAC when using Touch, but I had a bad case of buffering in Transporter and Duet. I have increased radio buffer size but this did not change anything. Searching forums I have seen a post related to buffering mp3 radio stations and the advice was to change player setting from MP3 direct streaming to proxied streaming. So I tried and... buffering stopped on both Duet and Transporter. Both my players are on wired network, stream info still says FLAC. I'm glad this works, but would anybody know what did I just do ? matka's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34878 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97210 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Qobuz has huge and very current catalogue for classical music and even a special plan for classical flac ! You pay 20 Euro for classical flac a month, other genres default to 320 CBR. All flac costs 30 Euro. Looking forward to improvements to the plugin, although it is already great.
