TFS is a pain; wonder what MS use themselve. Got my Lumia 800 today and had my first go with Squeeze Remote ... it rocks fast and smooth. Yes, unfortunatley everone gets it. I've had a minor meltdown in my Source Control Server (TFS) which by some reason went back to a previous version of the artist page. I think that I've got it all working now, I've spent many many hours looking through the server and all issues should now be resolved. Unfortunatley the latest update of SqueezeRemote has a build error that breaks the main menu. After som investigation, I've realized that an missed checkin into the TFS (Version Control System) caused the crash. I don't really understand how this could get passed testing, but anyhow, a new version has beem submitted to Microsoft for testing and meanwhile I have removed the app from marketplace. As soon as the new version has been released I will publish it on marketplace and I will also let you know on this site, on twitter and via email to thoose that I have email adresses to. Hi, I received an update notification today and updated the Squeezeremote App. When I tried to use it later it didn't want to start, showing black screen with the small little dots moving. Tried to stop the App and restart. Tried to restart phone. No change. I then unistalled, my plan being to re-install. Now I can't find the App anymore on the Zune Marketplace. I have been using this App for some time now and it is great. I woudl support the ask from JIJ3 though as a nice additioanl feature. More and more online quality music stores (like Qobuz in France for instance) provide pdf files with their downloads (useful with Classical music files not listed in most Lyrics databases). This app looks very promising. I am currently using SlimControl on Windows 6 platform (very pleased), but planning to upgrade my phone. If it would be possible to view pdf files residing in the same folder as the music now playing, this would put this mobile app way beyond the rest. This is the one functionality I miss most in the entire Squeezebox universe. What I don't like so far, however, is that any subfolders to my favorites of Internet Radio stations created in the Squeeze Center GUI won't show in Squeeze Remote on my HTC 7 Trophy. Thanks Pippin for the answer. What I really like about the WP7 app is the full integration of lyrics and album info without additional pluggin. Makes it very easy and seamless. Everything integrated into one app. Before I purchase iPeng (Logitech free App is very limited and doesn't add any value vs. the controler I feel), can you tell me a little bit more about the way Lyrics and Info are integrated into iPeng ? I don't know the way the Windows Phone App does this but for iPeng you need the SongInfo and SongLyrics plugins for Lyrics and this is not going to change. The reason is that there is no way I know of to get Lyrics that are legally and globally licensed and using unlicensed ones is one of the safest ways to get thrown out of the App Store. The Apps to which it happened are legion (I've got half a dozen Lyrics Apps that are no longer around). This is definitely a great app and I don't regret the money I invested in it. I particularly appreciate the Lyrics and Bio functions embeded. Yes they do not work for all tracks and album, but do a relatively good job. I was looking for an all in one equivalent for iPad ? For the moment the lyrics are quite unstable since I haven't found a good lyrics api yet. Currently using lyrics.com and it's not as stable as I want it to be. Hi, one feature I love an my wifes Android phone using Squeeze Commander is the dowload feature for offline listening (aka using the phone as mp3 player). Will it be possible to implement something like that? I know that the security model of wp7 is different, meaning that you do not have a shared filesystem. Thanks for the ideas, especially the coverflow/artist part. Regarding large collections, i consider my self to have quite a large one(~1400 albums), and application starts in roughly 4 seconds with all data loaded(first startup is a lot longer though ). Hi, Im waiting for my windows 7 phone to arrive, currently using a win 6.5 rom'd touch pro 2 as a squeeze box remote controller The really big ommission of the current controller s/w i'm using is the complete inability to do any form of on the fly playlist creation (and adding currently playing or selected tracks) .. Thanks for the input! Regarding the volume slider, if you tap the top or bottom of the slider, the volume is increased/decreased by 5. If you have any ideas of improvements, post it here or send me an email and I'll try to implement it. A new version is currently at Microsoft for testing. It will have a new startscreen layout and browse by Folders is added. got a nice surprise when I searched for Spotify in the marketplace and found two apps for Squeezebox. I've installed and paid for both (Squeeze Remote, and Squeeze Controller)so that I can play around with both and see which one works best. Well done on Squeeze Remote, great first release and it's a very useful app. Not sure the user interface is as it could be, but maybe that's just me getting used to it. I do look forward to playing around with it more. One specific thing that was a little tricky for me was the volume control bar: I found the bar a little bit narrow to be trying to drag up or down with my finger, though I may be doing it wrong. Hi! I'm glad to announce that today version 1.6 of Squeeze Remote was released to Microsoft Marketplace. Squeeze Remote now supports both SqueezeboxServer and MySqueezebox.com. New in v1.6 other that MySqueezebox.com support is mostly performance improvements. (Startup time should now be a equivalent to iPeng). Also added jumplists in local media browsing. Squeeze Remote supports trialmode, the limitation is that you can't save your server settings or local media cache. This results in a long startup time since everytime you enter your configuration, Albums, Artists, Playlists and genre info are downloaded to your phone and stored locally.
