Hi Tim, did you ever get IRBlaster to work ? , I'm trying it with my Meridian 551 and nothing works, I'm getting a signal from the emitter cable ( it has a red LED which flashes when it receives a signal ) but nothing happens, In the setup page for my TP, I select MSR as the device and TAPE_1 ( which is the source input the TP uses on the 551 ) as the signal to emit for power on. regards -- pkfox When the going gets weird - the weird turn pro. I found the best way to learn codes is the same way as I do with my Pronto: hold the button down until the wizard has captured the string. Last time I tried I couldn't get the headphone socket to connect directly to the amplifier I still need to use a blaster. Now I have it working I'll try that again. Tim Hi Tim, thanks for replying, when you say wizard do you mean the learning add-on ? also, if you have it partially working can I try a copy of your conf file ? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] IRBlaster - Transporter - ReadyNAS issue
Hi there, follow the steps outlined below 1) Copy the plugin zip file to the root plugin folder on the RN ( in my case it's /usr/share/squeezecenter/Plugins ) 2) SSH into the RN , I used a Linux box using this command, ssh 192.168.1.45 (substitute with your ip address 3) cd into the /usr/share/squeezecenter/Plugins folder. 4) Unzip the file - unzip nameofplugin.zip This will create a new subfolder with the name of the plugin you're installing. 5) You then need to restart the squeezecenter service /etc/init.d/squeezecenter restart you should be good to go, let me no if you need more assistance regards -- pkfox When the going gets weird - the weird turn pro. Never used ssh in my life. I run windows PCs (shame on me, I know!) and the readynas on the local network. Thanks! CptHarlock Hi there, no problem , Windows users are Linux users in waiting, first of all you need to ensure you have ssh enabled on the RN, for this you need to download and upgrade the firmware on the RN, the file you require is EnableRootSSH_1.0.bin, copy this to somewhere the RN can access it and from Frontview admin page select System / Upgrade / Local, then click the browse button and locate EnableRootSSH_1.0.bin, then press Upload and verify image once the image has been verified press update, you then need to reboot the RN ( it sounds alot harder than it is ). Secondly you need to install a product name Putty on the Windows PC - this is a Windows SSH client, once you have it installed you can SSH into any machine which has a ssh server running ( which the RN should have by now ) you can then follow my previous instructions, let me know how you get on -- pkfox When the going gets weird - the weird turn pro. Hi Philippe, as I've made lots of little changes trying to resolve my issues I decided to undo all of them and start again and I'm pleased to say I've just had pretty much two hours of playing trouble free - thanks again for all your help - I'll keep you posted - the change that I think had the most effect is I'd created a custom convert.conf file in /etc//squeezeboxserver which contained an entry for flc which changed the transcoding ( I think ) for flac, from native to something else ( this will probably make more sense to you than me ) We can't stop here this is bat country. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
I'm trying to setup the UpNp plugin to enable me to use my Cambridge Audio CXNV2 in conjunction with LMS. My player is discovered okay and plays a track for a few seconds ( sometimes longer ) and then skips back a few seconds or stops ( or both ) ( this process is repeated ad nauseam ). I also cannot pause a track. Any ideas guys ? The LMS server is a high spec Linux box with my colllection of flac files stored on a high speed SSD M2, the Cambridge is connected with a cable If I use squeezlite as the player there is no problem Logfile 36257 +---+ |Filename: Upnplog.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=36257| +---+ We can't stop here this is bat country. Hi Philppe, thanks for replying, as my current setup is pretty new I'm just trying to put some miles on the clock by leaving it running with no volume so yes I'm seeing the progress bar jumping about - also the track I'm playing is 5.35 duration which the log file isn't - thanks again We can't stop here this is bat country. No but I tried to use this plugin to stream LMS to my Cambridge Audio CXN V2 with mixed results, It would skip bits of the track and sometimes stop altogether or jump back 20 secs and resume playing, logs looked ok to phillipe - I gave up in the end, Squeezelite plays the same library of flac files perfectly Intel NUC i5 Debian 16gb RAM 1TB SSD -> LMS -> Squeezelite -> USB -> Chord Hugo MScaler -> dual BNC -> Chord DAVE DAC -> Meridian 551 -> Monitor Audio Gold -> Me Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow!
