Don't you understand that one doesn't need pictures
 from the 1500's or from
any period in the past 4 billion years to determine
 the conditions on our

 Africa were joined at
one time. Also Nova Scotia and England. Tectonic
 drift accounts for this
stuff. We don't need satellite pictures to prove it.

Core samples at the Antarctic are good enough to
show climate for the last 2
or 3 thousand years. Scientists can measure CO2 as
 well as dust and many
other gases in the samples. Global warming
 correlates 99% with the increase
in CO2 in the atmosphere. Start reading some real
 science instead of
listening to yourself blather on and on.

For additional clarity, I do not give a rat's ass if it is free, with or
without anyone monitoring my use. Vista sucks, and it still sucks even if
it is free. They can find some other sucker willing to work with Vista
Ultimate Sucko version, or any other degree of castrated version of Vista as
far as I am concerned. Perhaps by the time Vista SP2 hits the streets some
of the suckiness performance issues will be resolved, but I am betting not.
And the User Access Control aspect of Vista is not likely to go away. It
just is not worth it to me when alternatives are perfectly capable for my
purposes (XP, 2000).

always drive up there (2 hrs) to PA to get my son and then--if I take
him back to Bmore for the weekend--drive him back up there. My wife
doesn't want to be inconvenienced in any way.

What the court in Minnesota said is that the party with visitation has to
pay all the costs of transportation to make that visitation happen. Maybe it
has changed in recent years, but that's how it was explained to me way back
 when.

You're the one that is moving, so that's another argument in her favor.
Whatever happens, you can certainly look at the 2 hour drive as some quality
time with your son where you can talk a lot and stop at a restaurant
together partway on the trip. The good news is you won't be living near her.
The bad news is that it means the commute is longer.

Also -- food for thought -- my son decided he wanted to live with his father
when he turned 14. So even though I had full custody and his father had
visitation, it did not stay that way permanently. When that change happened,
I wound up paying my ex child support. At least he was reasonable enough to
request that I pay to him the same amount he paid to me. If they had used my
income as a guideline I would have paid more than twice what he did.

Hello,
I am testing my programs on Vista and the title bar is missing on sub forms.

The main form is ShowWindow - 2 - As Top-Level Form.
The sub forms are ShowWindow - 1 - In Top-Level Form and modal.

Everything looks fine on XP but on Vista the sub forms are missing the title
bar.

Does anyone know of a fix ?

Thanks,

2007-12-13 Thread Wolfe, Stephen S YA-02 6 MDSS/SGSI
http://abcnews.go.com/International/story?id=2938762page=1

Obviously, according to some the author of the above story is just
talking out of his ass; how could ABC print something like that?

The vast majority of scientists agree that global warming is real, it's
already happening and that it is the result of our activities and not a
natural occurrence.1 The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable.

The above quote is from climatecrisis.org and they make it clear that
The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable. They base that on the
IPCC statement:

1 According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC),
this era of global warming is unlikely to be entirely natural in
origin and the balance of evidence suggests a discernible human
influence of the global climate.

Is it just me or does it appears as if the IPCC is allowing themselves
some wiggle room in the statement above? It just doesn't appear to be
as certain as how climatecrisis.org says it.

I'm so confused...

From http://www.soveriegn.freeservers.com/fda.htm for what it is worth:
No single Man-food substance had been tested more than saccarin. Its
inventors had been very careful lest they market something dangerous. It had
also been on the market a very long time without serious problems. The
experiment that started the cancer scare should not even be graced with
the honor of that title. It involved only 12 rats. There was no control
group. Saccarin was surgically implanted in the bladders of all 12 rats.
Half of the rats developed cancer. Even something as innocuous as honey can
cause cancer if surgically implanted in the bladder. This experiment was
then proclaimed by the FDA as proof that saccarin causes cancer, without
any other clinical or experimental data. The FDA did not specifically demand
that Saccarin be taken off the market. If they had, they would have faced
lawsuits, and lost. It was more effective to simply issue their statement.
The vendors then had to either replace the saccarin in their foods and
 drinks, or lose business.

Not long after, the FDA approved Aspartame under suspicious circumstances.
This is a chemical that breaks down into aspartic acid, phelylalanine and
methanol, which in turn produces formaldehyde, at temperatures above 85°
Fahrenheit. These are very toxic chemicals.

Do you think that aspirin would be approved for use today?

[OT] O-man swearing in on the Quran?

2007-12-13 Thread Pete Theisen
Hi Everybody!

My friend forwarded this to me, he received this signed by Andrea Yanez, but
she appears to have forwarded it from Lorraine Jirus. Anyone know if this is
really what O-man said - about being sworn in on the Quran? Snopes says he
isn't even a Muslim. He is, however, a D, so who really knows?

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp

(begin quote)

CAN MUSLIMS BE  GOOD AMERICANS?
This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to
Finish. and send it on to anyone who will read it

Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out
about any atrocities.

Can a good Muslim be a good American?
This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20
years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. . . . Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God
of Arabia

Religiously - no. . . . Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah
except Islam (Quran, 2:256) (Koran)

Scripturally - no. . . Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of
Islam and the Quran.

Geographically - no . . . Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he
turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him To make
friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. . . Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual
leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America , the
great Satan.

Domestically - no. . . Because he is instructed to marry four Women and
beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34 )

Intellectually - no. . Because he cannot accept the American
Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the
Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. . . . Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran does not
allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot
co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. . . . Because when we declare one nation under God, the
Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as
Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent
names. - - - Therefore after much study and deliberation Perhaps we
should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. - - - They
obviously cannot be both good Muslims and good Americans.
* * * Call it what you wish..it's still the truth.
* * * You had better believe it.
+ + + The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country
and our future. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand. . ..
And Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim, wants to be our President? You have GOT to
be kidding! Wake up America !

Obama even says if he wins the election, he will be sworn in on the
Quran---not a Bible!

Well,we all know where he can put that Quran, don't we

(End of quote)

No, I don't. The FDA doesn't care about the health of the people
anymore. It is all about big food and drug corporations running the
agency for their own profits. For example, according the FDA the only
way to cure a disease is with a drug. I have cured dis-eases myself
using essential oils that the medical community thinks is incurable.
YMMV

Keep two facts in mind: the first came from an addlepated commentator who had a
moment of semi clarity when she said America has two parties -- the
pro-abortion corporate party and the anti-abortion corporate party. Sad, but I
believe it more every day.

Second is your essential oils are available without going through the medical
establishment, which means no money for them. Therefore they couldn not be
doing you any good. We need to remember our place in society and not question
the elites... on medicine, on global warming. ;-)

Run the Project through the 'Documenting Wizard'
Study the big ascii output file.
Open it in the VFP editor (modi file ...)
do a search.

Tedious, but thorough :D

Or.
Since most everything is a table anyway -
you can iterate through the project file (as a table),
open each thing (as a table)
and look in the memo field(s) where the method code is stored,
looking for 'RightClick' or something similar.

Good Luck !

You could use my TS utility to search for all instances of
'RightClick', and go from there. You can view the code of any object
you find with a single click.

If VFP9:

Tools, code references, rightclick, search.

Shows only the ones with stuff in them, and you can just click on each
instance and go directly to the code wherever it is.

 Subject: [NF] Great service

With the Windows Fanbois in full alert mode (and for good
 reason!),
I thought I'd post something positive about Apple for a change.

I got one of the original Intel MacBooks back in August
 '06. It has
been my main machine ever since.

Last month when I flew to San Antonio, I thought I'd take
 advantage
of the free Wifi in the Rochester airport to check my email before
getting on the plane. The battery was fully charged, but after about
5 minutes the computer just shut down. No warning, no sleep - just
dead. It was as if it were a desktop machine and someone pulled the
plug. I tried several times to get it to restart, but it would only
go a little bit into the boot process and then die again. (note: so
glad that it uses a journaling FS!).

When I got to the hotel I plugged it in, and the battery monitor
showed 95% charged. I tried a couple of more times to run on battery
power, but it always did the same thing.

Today I brought it in to the local Apple retail store and
 showed the
tech there. After checking out a bunch of stuff, he agreed that the
battery was defective; even if it had lost capacity, it should notify
the OS so that it can go to sleep gracefully. So even though the
laptop is out of warranty and the first problem didn't happen until
after it was out of warranty, and even though batteries are not
covered under the AppleCare extended warranty, he replaced the
battery with a brand-new one. No charge! That's a $99 item for free!

Apple sure can be corporate bastards at times, but at least
 they did
the right thing today by me.
