Re: [QUAD-L] Wheelchair Monologue- 10 steps to resolving
Good Question. Some will argue 9 steps and others will say 11 steps. What is more important is the proper documentation of your efforts at/after each step. Some do so well at the 1st step... there is no 2nd step, as the problem/project is resolved. Well structured companies that insulate themselves thru several degrees of separation will always ask you if you followed their formal procedures for complaints and suggestions. Those advocate organizations that file complains on behalf of their members or clients are well knowledged in those 10 steps. By the time they show up for a sit down with corporate management with document file several inches thick to collaborate their constructive efforts. Keep in mind that the higher in corporate management it takes to resolve problems/projects, the more it will cost to close the file and Quash further action. If you think you have a problem/project, remember that you are probably not the only one. And there is strength in numbers. Several head are better than one. Keep in mind, its like taking something back to the store for a refund and not having the original receipt. Oops, maybe that was 13. (lol) Best Wishes In a message dated 5/1/2008 5:19:34 P.M. [QUAD-L] Wheelchair Monologue- 10 steps to resolving
I know you don't wish to read this but without the 10-step process, you are missing the point. If you don't use and document the process by step you can/may lose your credibility in trying to resolve the project/problem. What you file your legal complaint, you will be asked if you tried to resolve the problem using the 10-step process. If you answer NO and the Defendant says that they were never contacted and you can prove it, then it may take valuable more time. Justice is not operated like a light switch. Its a phased process and those potential defendant knows that already. If you can prove and document, then your credibility can not be question as you further the process. Remember you have to have the FACTS to prove your complaint. Best Wishes W In a message dated 4/30/2008 12:18:01 P.M. w, I haven't been to an Applebees in years and I'm completely unaware of their status at this time. I was told then that ADA complaints were being negotiated. I was mostly stunned that someone here mentioned them (although, I, think in the context of rude management). I should go sometime this summer, but the prices there are usually more than I like spending on food. When I was there last, I was working. john - Original Message From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: quad-list@eskimo.com Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 1:37:42 PM Subject: [QUAD-L] Wheelchair Monologue- 10 steps to resolving I know you don't wish to read this but without the 10-step process, you are missing the point. Re: [QUAD-L] Wheelchair Monologue- 10 steps to resolving
I can relate to that too as I've haven't be there in the same amount of time and then some. You can still go there for a glass of lemon water and a bowl of cracker N soup. Of course if you can't get seated in a proper place the bowl of crackers is moot. Regarding the negotiations, are you being copied or did you ask to be copied? The complaint process is not a passive process, once started. Remember you are just getting facts. Best Wishes In a message dated 4/30/2008 1:19:45 P.M.
